A range of draft & bottled Belgian brews pairs with mussels & fries at this red-lit beer hall.

I decided to revisit this spot. My last visit was over 10 years ago. Maybe it was my youth. But this place has declined. In the actual "bar" the air is thick and smells a little like my father's assisted living facility- the essence of urine. Lastly, thanks to the frequency of digital payment, they have joined the + tax team. So, $12 is actually $13.07. If you want to make 13 bucks for my Belgian just charged me 13- thanks. The courtyard does have a very chill European feel. Just have a friend
I seriously love this bar so much. (Especially on a week night when it is not crawling with NYU students.) The beer is well curated and the staff knows their shit. However, the bathrooms have not had a lock on them for probably a year. Girl go pick some up.
Strange but interesting little bar. Easy to miss it because it's entrance is tucked into a small alley type of situation. Beer selection is good if you're specifically looking for Belgian style; otherwise, you only have a few options. We went on a Saturday night and only a few tables were filled, which made the vibe feel a bit off, made worse by the fact that the bartenders acted like we were making their lives miserable by asking for two pilsners. But hey, the red lighting was cool.
