Was recommended by my coworker. The food was so good, I was scraping the plate. The horchata and melon fresca were so gooooood. The enchilada verde was saucy and delicious, I added a lot of that green sauce on every bite, I like that taste =w=. The Chorizo quesadilla was tasty too, a good portion. I was even surprised with a birthday flan~ They got me good. I shall return to try the other dishes :9.

Don’t let the name change fool you! It’s still the same taco truck taco del Rey to go turned restaurant you know and love. And if you don’t know, go once get the taco platter with Tinga and steak and a grand bulldog and you’ll fall in love! I was kind of excited when I came across this birria tacos truck in the Sunset Park area one night. Before this, the only Birria tacos that I had was the mega popular Birria Landia in queens which is a bit of a trek for me living in Brooklyn. The place is tiny with nowhere to sit but the word is out and people are coming out. The food is very heavy here. The chilaquiles are a lot . A serving for two. They have their own tortilla machine. They sell homemade cheese. They sell the typical aquas: horchata and Jamaica.

Great place! First time I went to get takeout and they accidentally forgot a taco. I went back a few days later and told them, and they gladly made it right and gave me that taco I missed the first time around. Quality is good. These are the best tacos I have had in NYC so far (Manhattan), and I’ll be back.

I ordered 4 slices of cake from this bakery, and unfortunately, all of them were a disappointment. Every slice was dry and not edible. The tres leches cake tasted old and dry—nothing like it should—and the cheesecake was off as well. I ended up throwing all four cakes away. Total waste of money. Very disappointed.

Avoid this place at all costs. I experienced an alarming food safety issue that caused personal injury! There was a tiny, seemingly metal, black ball in my chicken quesadilla that I got delivered from this restaurant. It was so small that it was not noticed until I was eating it. The metal ball broke my tooth when I bit down on it. I am highly considering litigation over this with the restaurant. This is beyond unacceptable. Got a couple of tacos, fish, pastor, bistek and pastor. Pastor was good, texture and flavor, bistek was good too, fish and spicy pork was definitely under seasoned and the most important part of tacos, limes and salsa were definitely under a good taco standard. Salsa had no salt no flavor. Limes were old, maybe next time just don't put any. I rather leave a review for missing ingredients than for bad quality product.

Today by chance I happened into this friendly local Mexican bakery / restaurant under the F train tracks at 940 McDonald Avenue near 18th Avenue in Brooklyn, NY that offers fantastic prices and fresh food. From the clientele you just know this is authentic Mexican (and Guatemalan) food. My pan dulce was only $1.50 and coffee $1.00. They have three tables or take your order to go. Check this bakery out before it is discovered and mobbed!

The food was good overall, and there were a lot of options on the menu. I ordered nachos, and although they were very spicy, the flavor was still good. I also had wine, which I enjoyed. The vibe and atmosphere were nice, and the happy hour was decent. The music was okay and gave the restaurant a fun energy. The main issue was the service and organization in the beginning. When we first arrived, there were no appetizer chips or nachos brought out, no water at the table, and no napkins at first.

The Best Mexican food I’ve had in the entirety of New York. The food is authentic and delicious, while the atmosphere is lowkey and not tacky like so many other places. The staff are kind, genuine, and diligent, and the food got out very quick. I’d definitely recommend this gem to anyone seeking anything to eat not only in Staten Island, but the whole of New York.

Given this establishment’s untruthful response deserved me rewriting my review of today’s visit here. I ordered a Steak burrito and emphasized I wanted Carne Asada and was served a rice burrito instead and when I showed the second waiter (because the person who took my order was a cook,) who was the cashier at the adjoining deli/ grocery store the plate he insisted there was steak in the burrito so I carved the bits out proving it was not a steak burrito but a rice burrito which I did not order

Everything was delicious! The tortillas are made fresh, and they were very generous with the taco fillings. Great flavor, fresh ingredients, and excellent portions.

First time trying this restaurant and the flavors are on point. They are very kind and the portion was great for a single dish. If you are looking for Mexican authentic flavor this place is a great choice.

Everyone here is SO sweet, but the food is SO SALTY every time... For those who are alleging to dander, there is a dog that’s there. The place stinks like a wet dog!It’s terrible. I told the employee who was sitting with an older lady and the dog, and he denies that it even stank. It’s probably his dog! My drink was delicious, but regrettably, I won’t go back. Across the street is an Empanada Monumental eatery that also serves smoothies, without the dog stench.

The food was good but it took forever! There was a consistent line of 8-10 people at 8am on a Thursday. There were plenty of employees but the person making burritos was also the one restocking items on the line. I got a chorizo burrito with egg and it was very good quality food but the experience getting the burrito was not ideal. I waited at least 30 minutes and that’s probably being generous.

Ordered some shrimp tostadas from this place today and they were amazingly delicious. The tortilla by itself was delicious let alone the other ingredients on it well worth the $6. The lady was nice when I ordered and accommodated my request of no cheese on 3 of the tostadas.
