We checked this place out for dinner recently and really enjoyed it. The building is really cool, with a lot of history. Definitely worth reading up on, especially all of the dishes that allegedly started at Delmonico’s. We had a cozy little two-top table in a smaller dining past the main bar. We had an amazing experience here for my 40th birthday. This definitely lived up to the hype - the Delmonico’s ribeye was unreal, perfectly cooked with plenty of flavor and a nice dry-aging. The creamed spinach was the perfect side for it as well. The lemon caviar pasta was a real hit with the group, and the signature baked Alaska is delicious, with an amazing presentation. This legendary restaurant had been on our radar ever since we first started planning our next visit to NYC. So much history and so many expectations. We weren't disappointed and had a wonderful evening. Everything was delicious. Perhaps the only exception was the crab cake, which was a bit too heavy for us, but the biggest surprise was the royal eggs Benedict, which were truly wonderful.
