Marumi is the real deal. No frills, no fuss — just exceptional Japanese food done right. The space is warm and thoughtfully designed, lots of wood, unpretentious but with genuine taste. Started with a miso soup for $3 that was better than soups I've had at places charging ten times as much. The chef's chirashi was outstanding — fresh, precise, beautifully composed. Marumi offers a fantastic and reasonably priced sushi experience in the city. The fish was fresh, apps tasty and chicken crispy. We were seated quickly and the service was fast and friendly. Everything we ate was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
Cute place. Fresh sushi. Quick service. Too bad Uni sold out on the day I walked in. I was craving Uni.
