Where the Malibu location is all about the Pacific and that golden coastal feeling, this one is a sleek, dramatic space in the base of a lower Manhattan skyscraper, two floors of dark wood and leather and art with the kind of energy that comes from a room full of people who dressed for the evening and mean it. Had an incredible birthday dinner here. My girlfriend (now fiancée) suggested Nobu Downtown because I absolutely loved the Vegas location, and she nailed it. The experience has its own distinct feel compared to Vegas, but it was still fantastic. Our host Rinzin was amazing.
