My friend and I went to Otani around 5:30pm on a Monday. I was shocked that there was a decent amount of people in the restaurant when I checked in, so I would recommend making a reservation. They are located at a lower level, which is nice because it provides a bit of waiting room. The interior has a fancier ambiance, with a mix of tables and cozy booths. We started with an order of harumaki ($6). I liked that they cut this up in halves, so it was easier to split. It had a nice natural flavor,
I came solo and my food came fast, the server was super sweet. I had seared salmon nigiri and it was sooo good I had to run it back and get a second order. I also had the seafood yaki udon and it was delightful! Full of flavor and loaded with seafood. The kiss of a mango drink is also bright and fresh! A perfect spring drink.. the ambience was super cute too! Will be back!!!
The vibe here is incredible and the staff is so attentive/kind. The sashimi was fresh and I highly recommend the tuna tartare! Prices are super reasonable for quality. Presentation of food blew me away. Will be my go to spot when I’m in the area!
