We spent quite a while walking around and searching for a place to celebrate Cinco de Mayo, as everywhere was extremely crowded; choosing this spot turned out to be an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly; they were very helpful regarding my vegetarian option—something I truly appreciate—and the *agua de jamaica* was excellent as well. We were thoroughly satisfied with our food portions, and the atmosphere provided a lovely setting for a very special day

Tajin is a Mexican restaurant next door to George’s, an American restaurant, both very near the Rector Street stop on the 1 train. There is indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the chicken enchilada platter (2 enchiladas) with yellow rice and black beans with extra green sauce on four occasions ($18.95). All four experiences were positive.
