I have 2 very good bagel places in my neighborhood, but was told I should try Bagles and Brew in Astoria. I happened to be near Astoria the other day, so I stopped in...I wish I never did because the bagels and sandwiches were great!! Disappointing experience overall. The chai was not authentic at all. expected real Indian cutting chai with proper ginger and spices, but it tasted nothing like it. The lunch bowl was overpriced for the tiny portion size. The futons were dirty . To top it off, the staff was quite rude when asking me not to use my laptop. Why can’t I use laptop? could have been communicated more kindly. Not worth the price for what you get.

I’ve been to LJ’s multiple times — both at Alphaville and now at Danger Danger — and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that they serve some of the best bar food I’ve ever had. Tasty healthy food with exceptional service. Butbi must add that 2 out of 3 times we ate there not to long afterwards my wife complained of her stomach hurting her a lot after eating, maybe the guy in the back helping out may not be to keen on cleanliness or cross contamination? Fantastic experience at the Mark restaurant both at dinner and brunch. Really beautiful and charming atmosphere, delicious food and cool crowd. The service was wonderful as well. I know avocado toast is not something one would write poems about, but I want to stress out how phenomenal my avocado toast today was - with eggs and salmon. It was perfectly balanced, probably the most delicious I’ve had.

This place is a hidden gem. The food is amazing, especially the pancakes and bacon, perfection! The staff are very nice, listening to everything you say, and fixing it! Music was really great. We ordered the onion rings, one vegan burger and one salmon burger. The salmon burger was good but lacked something I don’t know maybe some good sauce ? They were good burgers tho and really affordable. The onion rings were also really big and filling. All in all very filling and nice. Loved the tzatziki sauce on the salmon burger.

Unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdownthe sandwich was quite greasy, the meat lacked flavor, and the onions weren't fully caramelized. Blue Park is my go-to for lunch. The food is tasty. There are enough options without being overwhelming. And it’s easy to get in and out quickly when I’m running between meetings. I described what I eat from Blue Park to a nutritionist, and they had no notes. Also, the people are great. As some places move to using robots, I appreciate the Blue Park crew even more!

Several dart leagues ,come here. I like the comfortable atmosphere. Even bands play here weekends, on occasion. The burger is currently my fave of all time , and they have good brew on tap. All the workers are kind and good to their customers too.

Doctor's Cave Café is a true hidden gem! The atmosphere and décor are welcoming and calm, making it easy to have a conversation whether you sit inside or enjoy the outdoor seating. Cafe Grumpy’s is a coffee chain in NYC and the location in Park Slope, Brooklyn serves very good coffee. The space itself is quite small so I usually get it to go. Stumbled in running from an insane down pour. Bad weather brought us here. Overall, it's a great place. Staff are friendly and attentive. Large selection of scotch and fairly priced drinks for the location. Feels like your typical bar. It's clean, has good patrons, and has a large space to sit. There is an outdoor setup where Ecuadorian food can be purchased. Decent and unusual bar food.

The seating situation is a bit weird but everything else was great! My friends and I loved the drink selection and the more creative aspect to the bar with the convenience store in the front. We picked out a ton of snacks and they plated it and brought it to us. We all really like my chilled espresso drink (which I recommend like a lot!!!!!!) and the black cherry drink wasn’t my favorite but I think if you like mezcal, definitely give it a chance.

Incredible pizza, definitely one of the better spots I've had. We split a pizza, half cheese and half pepperoni/sausage. The cheese was the best version of it for sure, but the meat side was also delicious. We also got a nonna salad, which was lovely. Absolutely no complaints, the service was great and we were able to walk in and get a table. Would for sure recommend!

When here, likely a great place to dine. It also works for large crowds and reservations are required and recommended. Bar area seating is possible but the place was busy.
