If you're strolling down Greenpoint Avenue in Sunnyside and craving something warm, fresh, and comforting, Greenpoint Bakery Café is a must-visit. This cozy spot serves up an impressive selection of Colombian baked goods that taste just like home — or better! The moment you walk in, you're greeted with the smell of fresh bread and pastries. Their pandebonos and almojábanas are absolute standouts — perfectly cheesy, soft on the inside, with a delicate crust. The buñuelos are golden, airy, and ju

Stumbled upon this place by chance and was really impressed. I tried the pan queso and the bunuelos. Both were delicious and freshly made. Also grabbed an iced coffee, which hit the spot. Prices were surprisingly reasonable for a café. Definitely worth a visit!

I had a horrible experience ordering food. I got my food very dry and cold even the rice. They sent an order of chicken to replace the dry pork-chops and also received the chicken dry bitter and overcooked. Do not recommend

This fun bar on Jerome Ave is the perfect spot for a strong cafe con leche while Jose Auto, one of the best neighborhood car shops, does repairs. Ambiance reflects its bar persona: all high tops, blaring reggaeton and Latin rap, sticky linoleum floors, mens room only! Had delicious huevos revueltos (scrambled eggs) with onions and heaping portion of manggu (boiled, mashed plantains with garlic and spices). All yummy, well priced at $20 for two. It's open till 4:00 am but not sure the menu chang

I stopped by this Peruvian spot recently, and it turned out to be one of those meals that stays with you long after you leave. I ordered two classics Pan con chicharrón and a fried red snapper. Both dishes hit the mark in completely different ways. The pan con chicharrón was everything it should be: warm bread, crispy pork with that perfect salty crunch, and the sweet potato and salsa criolla tying it all together. The fried red snapper was just as impressive, beautifully seasoned, fried to a cr

I went to get a soup because I’m not feeling well and the lady began to make me a large soup. She stops when another person (Dominican) came to order food. She stops making my soup to get her rice and whatever meat she was ordering. I’m tired of being treated last to everyone because I am darker skinned. She didn’t have to be rude and do it right in my face. I only wanted a soup and to be on my way, my money is just anyone else’s money and it should be respected as so. It’s always the older wome

This was such a cute little spot to check out for lunch. The lady at the front was such a sweetheart but the food was AMAZING!!! We had the rice and peas with goat and it was very good. Well seasoned it wasn't spicy at all which was perfect for my uncle, I asked for pepper sauce lol. Beef Empanadas were big and had plenty of meat and flavor. I'm from Texas so flavor is a must for me. Great food and great customer service, I'll be back for sure!

This is a great counter order restaurant. I'm not sure what is wrong with everyone leaving 1 star reviews but you need to go to their little counter and look at the food to see what looks good that day. This is not the place to get grilled chicken breast because that's not the style that is good. Also, dark chicken meat is always more delicious so go make your little grilled chicken at home and stop thinking restaurants will cook it to your tastes when you go out. Their stewed meats are slow coo

The food is very good, no doubt about it. The young guy is very friendly and provides great service. However, the older man’s service is very poor. He seems to work with a bad attitude, doesn’t pay attention to the order, and even stops in the middle of taking it to answer the phone. That’s very rude and unprofessional.

I ordered 2 empanadas and she gave me 3. I returned to the store to return one after I had touched it. She took it back and places it back in the tray for sale. That is against NYC hygiene contamination policy. Also, the manager is very arrogant. Instead of apologizing for the mistake, she threw the change back at my face. Very unprofessional.

Me and my family went there and the first thing we saw a big Cockroach and the employees were laughing and didn’t realize until we told them . Then the food came out and the shrimp was smelling disgusting and taste like soap and my moms rice was also so oily and disgusting everything was bad we where in complete shock and disappointed because we had to pay 105 for cross food and we didn’t even eat everything because of how bad it was. One of the employees even complained that the kitchen smells

Otherway Kitchen is hands down one of the best spots for authentic Dominican food! The patelitos are my absolute favorite — crispy, flavorful, and always fresh. And don’t even get me started on their fritura, perfectly seasoned, crunchy, and full of that real Dominican taste that reminds you of home. The food always hits, the service is great, and the vibes are warm and welcoming. If you want flavor, quality, and that homemade touch, Otherway Kitchen is it!

I just left my folks house for the first time in a long time, when I feel home sick and miss my mom’s cooking this is close to it for me. Im so happy it's only 2 blocks away too. They have great service the employees are so sweet and welcoming. I can come in and get great meal all day and night (they close fairly late) if I feel like getting a delivery they deliver so fast. I love their food great Dominican food just how it should be cooked in my opinion.

Normally, I don't give bad reviews. I wasn't feeling well and decided to order chicken soup through grubhub from this place. I was really disappointed in what I received. Chicken bone backs, noodles, a slice of a carrot and two pieces of potatoes. $12 dollars for a large serving. Totally not worth it. As a Hispanic woman with dominican and puertorican roots, I can certainly say that this is a ripoff and this establishment is not representing us by serving their customers this type o

⭐⭐⭐ Good selection, but hectic and disorganized Huge market with a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables at competitive prices, especially if you’re buying in bulk. It’s an important spot for wholesale produce and you can find almost anything here. That said, the place can be very hectic and messy. Traffic inside is chaotic, parking is confusing, and there’s often spilled produce and garbage around. It’s not very visitor-friendly, especially for first-timers. Bring cash for entry fees an
