Went to Smoke & Mirrors on a Sunday for brunch and had a great experience. The food was really good, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing, and the service was amazing from start to finish. I couldn't choose between which pastries so I ended up getting about 10 of them. All of the pastries were so good. I tried a walnut bread that was covered in powder sugar and inside had a sweet cream, I also had a sweet bread with a cream inside, a croissant with a cream inside and strawberries, a pastry that had nutella inside of it, a lemon donut (I forgot the name of it) it had a flaky crunchy texture, a long donut, and a few other things. First time here and it didn't disappoint. The fish ceviche was so delicious! It had a spice to it, but not so much that you couldn't enjoy it. The entraña kumal was so flavorful and delicious. They have excellent bar drinks to choose from try the passion fruit drink, perfect to taste and photogenic for pics. The food choices are perfect. The figs salad (Nisi salad) is a must try. I went in and ordered a regular chicken bowl. I never asked for extra protein and certainly didn’t receive it. My bowl is mainly rice, and I was charged for extra chicken. Not sure if they changed management but a year ago this place had the best avocado toast in the neighbourhood. Now the bread isn’t even toasted and there’s no arugula. Feta tastes off unless they accidentally put goat cheese on mine. Would not recommend the food but coffee is solid though!
