Oxtail is $17.00 and that's everywhere in the Bronx right now as I'm writing this review. A large soup for $16 is a joke, we all know is a mixture of meat pieces that is going bad that you have to sell immediately for profit. I went there on May 13th a Friend recommended I try their lamb chops. We ordered lamb chops, jollof rice and sweet plantain as well as a separate order of lamb chops and sweet peas. The portions of HUGE. The lamb and peas had came with 5 pieces of lamb while my Oder came in a large foil tray it only came with 4 pieces of lamb. I ordered food here today January 1st. The food was horrible. The onion rings were fried so hard you couldnt even eat them. The burger was overcooked, dry, & flavorless. The tomato was thicker than the burger. I ordered an homemade lemonade and was sent a minute made bottle of juice. Stay away from this place, waste of money.

I paid 10.00 for 3 pieces of chicken and fries and a Pepsi. The food was good and the place was clean. But I won't be returning. Reason 1 I said 2 pieces of chicken and Reason 2 I paid 10.00 at the other Kennedy I always pay less. He needs to listen to his customers.

I inquired about whether or not their Singpore Mei Fun had gluten, and the young woman was very helpful and even made sure I wasn't allergic to eggs! Based on that alone, I am sure the food is going to be very good. I haven't eaten chinese food in so long because of my gluten allergy, but the young lady made me feel less anxious. Haven’t been here in years. Stopped going because I wasn’t happy with the food quality. Decided to give it a try again and the chicken wings and fries were fresh and hot. Makes me want to come back and try other dishes.

The couple was always rude and nasty. Then they started to take stuff off the menu like soup and egg foo young I’m guessing because of the food inflation. But the food was always pretty decent not the best but edible. Then there was times where the wife will rush the cooking and so things weren’t cooked throughly beef shrimp broccoli. Not sure why others were complaining but my experience was wonderful. The service was great the ladies were all very sweet and attentive. Food was delicious and their natural juices were the best natural juices I've tasted. Food also looked and tasted very fresh.

Mela’s Cafe was really good. I got the rice with chicken chunks and it was packed with flavor. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned, and the rice was cooked perfectly. The portion size was solid and definitely filling. Everything tasted fresh and came out hot. The staff were friendly and the vibe of the place was chill. I’d definitely order it again.
