Woooou. This place is amazing. Very traditional Japanese food. I have travel to Japan many times and it’s hard to find d good sushi spots in Brooklyn. I luckily find this place course I was reading the owner of samurai sushi is taking over. I know that lady has many restaurants and all of them are very unique. She study to be a suahi chef in Japan so I wanted to try. And I had such great time. And order Togo for my friends as well. I highly recommend

Mexican food, ground-floor bar & year-round roof deck with a Manhattan view, drawing a young crowd.
Alma is a whole vibe -- from the rooftop to the last bite! If you're looking for incredible rooftop views, flavorful food, and strong drinks -- this spot checks every box. We ordered a few platters and every protein was cooked perfectly. You could really taste the care in the seasoning -- fresh, bold, and totally satisfying. The guac was super creamy with just the right amount of lime and heat, and don't even get me started on the frozen margaritas... they were freaking bomb. Refreshing, well-ba

Rustic-chic bar & eatery presenting a diverse menu of Mediterranean tapas & entrees, plus delivery.
If you haven’t been to Mazzat Brooklyn yet, you are missing out on one of the best hidden gems in all of NYC. This Egyptian family-owned Mediterranean restaurant on Columbia St in Downtown Brooklyn has been around since 2006 and the moment you walk in, you understand why. The warmth hits you immediately. It genuinely feels like home, the kind of place where you slow down, settle in, and just enjoy. The team is warm, attentive and makes every visit feel personal. Now let’s talk about the food. T

Rustic Italian joint known for fried calzones & classic thin-crust pies, plus pasta & panini.
Thursday we had take out a cheese and pepperoni pizza and Caesar salad. Everything was perfect and so good, the crust and sauce are amazing. Went back the next day to try a square slice with hot honey pep and it did not disappoint (I would have heated it up a bit more however). Then a few days later I got two more cheese slices before heading back to Colorado. Prices are good, staff is awesome, I really like the restaurant you can sit in the back which is so nice and private. Can’t wait for my n

I had a wonderful dining experience at Cafe Spaghetti. The service was unhurried, and the staff were warm, knowledgeable, and attentive. It truly felt like stepping out of NYC for a few hours. Highly recommend for an intimate dinner with friends or a partner.

Place for Italian food with a touch of the American South, plus bocce ball on the patio.
Excellent local spot in Cobble Hill, we did a great lunch for Valentine’s Day here for their private event, couldn’t have been better. Pepperoni pizza with Arancino and champagne. Fantastic service, couldn’t recommend more.

Petite BYOB eatery with creative seafood dishes prepared in the classic French tradition.
What a waste of my last 20 years living in downtown Brooklyn and not stumbling upon this incredibly nice restaurant during my frequent walks up and down Union Street (because it's really off Union Street on Hicks Street). My wife and I tried this hidden gem tonight for the first time, and from the white wine selection to the bread and olive oil to the seafood chowder appetizer (which we shared) to the delicious ciopinno entree (which we also shared) and finally, to the key lime tart and coffee,

Excellent food across the board—from the burger to the risotto, you truly can’t go wrong with any dish. We dined at Swoony’s for the first time on the recommendation of dear friends, and the food absolutely delivered. Hats off to the chef. For starters, I highly recommend the lobster orzo and grilled prawns. As for mains, the burger, hanger steak, and butternut squash risotto were all outstanding. The cocktails were equally delicious. The ambiance is great, though it does get a bit noisy, and

The best addition to the neighborhood in years. It’s such a treat to have some of the most delicious croissants, sourdough loaves and baguettes in New York just around the corner. The real star though is the puff brioche - one of our favorite things to bring to dinner or brunch with friends (or to devour ourselves over the course of a weekend). It’s light, fluffy, buttery and sweet and I’ll miss it every day when we move.

Mexican & American comfort foods are served at this easygoing outpost with a back patio.
This was our first visit to Mex Carroll, we were visitors to the area and happened upon the restaurant while walking the neighborhood and looking for a lunch spot. We found the food to be incredible and the service was top-notch! Our party of four ordered the Al Pastor Burrito, a Tinga Burrito Bowl, chicken quesadilla, and chips with salsa - we were all very pleased with the food! The menu is not only Mexican, it is an incredible variety of breakfast items, burgers, pasta, and literally someth

Relaxed hangout specializing in craft beers on tap & in bottles & cans.
This is such a great bar with an amazing rotating selection of craft beers on draft and crazy number of cans too. But, it’s also a full bar with friendly bartenders who know how to make a great cocktail. Love the Negroni and old fashioned! Atmosphere is laid back with low lighting and the music isn’t too loud for a good adult conversation with the locals who range in age from mid 20s to 50s. The back garden is lovely, seating is plentiful and children are welcome until 6pm, according to the sign

This watering hole housed in a historic space offers a menu of elevated pub grub & weekend brunch.
My girlfriend and I were wandering around the neighborhood and were sucked into this twinkling ruby of a place. The music they played the whole time was great, mostly talking heads. Mets game on in the corner, cold rolling rock in my hand and good conversation with long time locals. What more can you ask for in a pub? I recommend ponying up to the bar and saying hello.

Stopped in thinking it was just another coffee shop, but this place is way more than that. The coffee is excellent—smooth, rich, and full of flavor—but what really sets it apart is the atmosphere. You can sip your drink while checking out shelves full of quirky vintage finds, old-school collectibles, and random odds and ends you didn’t know you needed. It feels like part café, part treasure hunt, and the mix just works. Definitely a must-visit.
