Fresh tasting soft tacos served promptly. The difference was the flat toasted tortillas gave a nice crunch to a steak taco and a vegetable taco. These weren't roasted vegetables but the kind you find in stir fry or bean curd soup. Struck me as a good alternative to something more predictable. There's no indoor seating. This is one of the cleaner Chinese food stores in the area. Brooklyn Chinese places are not the same as the ones in Manhattan but you still have to watch out for the ones that are dirty. This one is clean, the food taste good and they are fast. I usually call to order first so my food is ready when I get there. This is the only Chinese restaurant I visit in the area.

A great place to unwind after a long day at work, with employees who are very nice and respectful. You can also rent out the place. They had a Cairokee event before, which was very nice and funny, with happy vibes. The owner is very nice and always looks out for her guest making sure everyone is safe and enjoying the atmosphere. Really great patties! Flaky and a good amount of filling. We tried cod, spinach, and herring (a little spicy) and all were wonderful - spinach slightly beat cod as the favorite. The guava and cheese minis were also really good if looking for a sweet pastry instead of savory. Beyond that, the girl helping us was really kind and helpful. Would definitely go back, 10/10!

Stopped by this pizza spot on April 22, 2025, and loved the variety! The Dukers fridge was stocked with drinks, and the display case had fresh pizzas and cookies. The menu offered great deals like $3.99 for two slices and a soda. Staff was busy but friendly, and the place was clean. A solid 4/5 for a quick, tasty bite!

Well maybe there’s an advantage with being a local and being from the neighborhood. I’ve always came in a greeted them, showed respect, ordered my food and it was delicious. I see reviews about bad customer service but like I said I may have an advantage being from here but overall great food and good people through my perspective. It’s a family owned business that’s been a staple for some years now, from since my childhood actually.

If you want authentic Guyanese cuisine, the place to go is Upper Dem Express. The food is finger licking good! I highly recommend the Bakes and Saltfish. You haven't had baked chicken unless you have theirs. It is done in a unique sauce that would have you wanting more each time. The restaurant is immaculately clean and the staff courteous and friendly.
