I had an incredible dining experience at this fantastic, women-owned restaurant and cannot recommend it enough. Every single dish blew me away. The Food Shrimp Idli: The curry was wonderfully creamy, paired perfectly with soft idlis and perfectly cooked shrimp. Chicken Kofta: This dish had so many dimensions. The chicken was spicy and bursting with flavor—exactly how I like it—and the pairing with mango salsa absolutely took me to food heaven. Lobster: I went back on Day 2 just to try this! I

Mexican cantina with standards like burritos & fajitas, plenty of tequila & a buzzy brunch scene.
I was presently surprised by El Camino Cantina! I had the coca cola carnitas and they were very good! The salad we also ordered was great and so was the lemonade and salsa that came with my meal. Recommended if you are in the east village of stuy town!

Solid comedy club addition to lower Manhattan. It sounds like this location is the London based club’s first foray into the US. We went on weeknight with a smaller crowd but here was good energy and good mix of comedians. One was visibly high/communicated they were high but even they weren’t that bad. There isn’t a minimum drink/food spend but the beer is very reasonably priced, like $6 for a bottle of Yuengling as of June 2026 I’d recommend you grab a beer if you’re in the mood before the comed

British-style pub & eatery providing elevated bar bites along with gin cocktails & U.K. brews.
Good selection of gin cocktails and a spot for mid-sized groups. Music makes the environment pretty loud and not easy to talk. People were ordering food here. There are a few tables but also seats at the bar. The bar was out of Guinness zero when I went.

This neighborhood bar is known for its classic burgers & year-round patio seating.
Wasn't a big fan of the smash burger but I tried some of their traditional burger and that was really good! Fries were also pretty good. Service was a little inattentive despite the place being mostly empty at the time.

Compact Taiwanese eatery focusing on beef noodle soups & locally sourced ingredients.
This really surprised me - I liked it a lot. I thought it would be pretty mid/normal Taiwanese breakfast but it was great. The yo tiao in the fan Tuan was super crispy and delicious. The radish cake was a favourite. The savory soy milk and sweet were great. The breakfast roll was good. The breakfast for 2 was super big, and was enough for 3 of us. We got there at 11am on a Sunday and waited around 35 mins. There’s a waitlist so you can walk around while you wait and they’ll text you.

Sometimes, I feel like the problem with such a highly popular restaurant like NAKS, is that people have high expectations. I’m one of those people. My partner and I were finally able to secure a decent dining hour reservation on a Friday night (!) and we were excited. Loved the ambience, loved the energy, and loved the Filipino rap music playing in the background. And then came the food. This is where the focus of my 3 stars are: truly what we came for. We had the fried chicken, tuna kinilaw, a

As a cinnamon roll lover, I'm very picky when it comes to cinnamon rolls, and honestly, the only ones I usually enjoy are from Cinnabon. That said, this bakery absolutely does them right! They offer a great variety of options and their cinnamon rolls are delicious. I ordered mine with cream cheese frosting, and it was incredible. The roll was soft, fresh, and just perfect. The frosting added just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. Everything was balanced and flavorful, ma

East Village Irish bar with food & drink upstairs & dancing in the subterranean lounge.
The best Cobb Salad on the lower East Side . I consider myself to be a Cobb Salad Connoisseur. The salad is has plenty of fresh chicken and avocado. The chicken is always fresh, moist and warm. Fresh lettuce with blue cheese dressing. Absolutely worth every penny. I eat it almost every day. The staff are fun, polite and knowledgeable .

Unassuming storefront supplying Vietnamese standards such as pho, spiced-to-order sandwiches & more.
Christine wanted Vietnamese, so we found ourselves at V-Nam Cafe, a small spot that feels like it leans more toward takeout but does have a sit-down area if you want to eat in. We started with the calamari and then both went with the beef pho, which is exactly what you want on a day when you need something filling and warm. The portions were generous enough that neither of us could finish our bowls, which says something. Good food has a way of doing that. The service was genuinely warm. Our se

So my wife and I took a chance at this spot last minute and had never heard of or had sauerkraut fish before—and praise the Lord that we did, because it was the most pleasant of surprises. The staff was warm and welcoming, and helped us order and decide on all the add ons for their signature dish. We got the regular, which had no chili pepper icon on the menu, which we found out doesn't mean that it's not going to be spicy. It was still spicy, so keep that in mind of you have low spice toleranc

Basic space serving broad variety of fish (plus vegetarian options), with adjacent sake/oyster bar.
Disappointing sushi place. Went here for Valentine's Day, and got seated promptly. Ordered a sushi sashimi platter for 2; one of their pricier options. Waiter forgot my beer until after we finished our appetizer, which was a solid 20 minutes after order. The main platter took quite a while to come out; at least 30 minutes between when we finished the appetizer and the actual food, which was pretty ridiculous. The platter included a "chef chosen sushi roll". Very disappointingly, it was a Calif

I was here for lunch. This Dolar Shop is across from the AMC. They have a spacious venue. This is hot pot but not AYCE! I was confused how to order, but the easiest way is to get the set. You choose meat, soup, and appetizer. Then they give you a veggie plate. It's a lot of food. The flat iron beef set is only $26.99, so I think that's a pretty good deal for all the food you get. Each person has their individual stove and hot pot. You can adjust the heat yourself. There is a buffet-style condi

I had high expectations for Hani's because of all the hype and it's a lovely bakery. We stopped by on a Tuesday around 9:45am and there was no wait, but seats were all taken so keep in mind if you plan on visiting and want to eat in. Got the cinnamon roll (good - could use more cinnamon and I felt there was too much icing, but my friend thought it was the perfect amount), triple chocolate cookie (huge and great texture, but too sweet for me probably because of the mix of chocolates) and the pb

Humble Tex-Mex restaurant fixing up tacos, tortas & chalupas, plus margaritas & creative cocktails.
Three stars only because the service was very good. 1.5 stars for the food. We started with nachos. I liked the cheese sauce, but for my friend, it was meh because the sauce was a bit watery/runny. The flavors were good though. For the entrees: The chicken mole was absolutely horrible. The balance of flavors was off-putting. And the plate arrived very hot (we were warned not to touch) as if it had been microwaved. The meat in the beef tacos wasn’t well-seasoned, and it wasn’t served with a

Rustic spot with a few tables for pizza, slices, calzones & subs served at a counter or delivered.

Delicious and inventive food. Everything had a great blend of flavors and textures, where all the ingredients remained distinct and the composition was better than the parts. The crispy lacha paratha was one of the best I've had. The morels korma was excellent. I'll be back to try more. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and the food was well paced, I never felt under pressure to leave.

Ladies!!!!! Do not go out here! Especially not my recommendation if you’re a person of color / Black. They have a bouncer at the door who doesn’t want other Black people on his turf other than himself. He berated me and a group of friends to leave after one of us worked AT THE VENUE THAT EVENING. it was -11 degrees outside and we were just by the door at bar close (after our friends shift) for 3 min while an uber arrived. He stood there the entire time bullying us to stand in the cold. *This was

They had a free to play claw machine!! Pretty cool, and winnable :) inside had 4 trinkets, so definitely recommend checking it out. I had $10 game tokens, and played the hello kitty/Cinnamoroll 5 times. On my second try, I got the hello kitty! No luck afterwards tho. Also got the Thai tea, which was decent but not amazing. Finally, tried their spicy cutlet bento. Pretty good! The radish went well with the spicy cutlet, and the cabbage tasted fresh. Unfortunately, I already ate dinner when I o

Gourmet American eats & cocktails in a narrow, stylish space with a whitewashed bar & painted brick.
This restaurant is a must try! Felipe and the person he was training provided impeccable service. The food is top tier as well as the cocktails. We were in the area this weekend and ended up coming here because of someone we met while waiting in line at another restaurant lol. She actually ended up coming here too, and wow… now I understand why this place is sitting near 5 stars. It’s a small restaurant, but the food here is amazing. The portions were A LOT — seriously, a lot for the price. Even on weekends they have a lunch menu around $13–16, and it comes with either egg rolls or the soup of the day. The soup was some kind of Tom Yum

The food was great, very light and fresh. We didn't order spicy items, as we have someone with low spice tolerance, so those options are available and delicious.rice noodle was a massive serving, perfect to share. Could be a bit sweeter!

At Banh Anh Em, the flavors were great and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully made. The tower presentation was fun and the bánh mì bread was perfectly crispy, though the meat portion for the tower and bánh mì could be a bit more generous. This burger bar uses seasonal, local ingredients & is known for its pimiento-cheese-stuffed patty.
We ordered one Whitmans Smash, The Hound, and an order of regular and sweet potato fries. The smash was very tasty but had minimal sautéed onion (as you can see in the photo). My buddy said The Hound was great. Regular fries were very good too- Almost like a crispier version of Five Guys. Sweet potato fries were average and I wouldn’t order again. There was a party downstairs so I’m sure the kitchen was slammed but the server upstairs was very welcoming.
