East Harlem storefront eatery offering a Dominican menu in a no-frills setting.
Today had a horrific experience at this restaurant El Nuevo caridad . I ordered baked chicken with beans and a salad, but when I started eating, I was disgusted to find a bug in my food. I immediately called the restaurant and asked to speak to a supervisor. He apologized and offered to send me a new order, but I was too sick to my stomach after seeing the bug. I asked for a refund instead, which he provided. I returned the remaining food, bug and all. Needless to say, I do not recommend this r

It’s rare to find an Indian-Himalayan spot, even rarer to see goat on the menu, and even more so one with a full bar. The menu is divided into three sections: Nepalese, Indian-Chinese, and Northern Indian dishes. The manager was the star. I mentioned it was my first time trying Nepalese food so he gave some helpful recommendations and even treated us to Lal Mohan at the end. The chicken sekuwa is the highlight, chargrilled and smoky, served with puffed rice, a simple salad, and a tangy root-vege

Excellent food with affordable price and generous portion! It’s really rare these days to find such a place that has such a perfect combo. We ordered pork soup dumpling, braised beef noodle soup, aozao noodle soup, and eight treasures rice pudding, all of them were really nice. Missed the ginger slices for the pork dumplings but not a big deal. The broth of the aozao was rich and not fishy at all, better than the beef broth. The noodle was very smooth and silky. The broth was clear and very plea

Basic nook serving bagels with a variety of creative cream cheese flavors, plus salads & sandwiches.
If you’re in the area, Bagel Market is an absolute must-visit! Conveniently located near my hotel, it was an easy choice, and the space inside is roomy and comfortable while you wait for your order. Ordering was a breeze, and my bagel was ready quickly. I requested “toasted dark,” and the staff checked to make sure — they nailed it perfectly. The bagel had a fantastic texture, the toppings on my everything bagel were just right, and the cream cheese was generous (even if it dripped a little—wor

Easygoing option for counter-service gyros, burgers, sandwiches & more served till late.
recently visited Halal Boyz and decided to try their chicken tikka for the first time. I have to say, it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was incredibly flavorful and cooked to perfection. I also took the cashier's recommendation to try the extra crispy pita bread, and it was a fantastic choice. The pita was perfectly crispy and added a wonderful texture that paired beautifully with the chicken. The service was really friendly, and the staff was eager to help with recommendations. I left fe

Absolutely delicious!! The beef patty with cheese was my favorite!! 10/10 I would eat it again. The guys working there were very sweet! Food was served hot and quickly. Prices were decent too, give them a try!!

This hip Italian joint offers a full menu of entrees plus design-your-own meals of handmade pasta.
Cent'Anni is a charming Italian restaurant that feels like a hidden slice of Italy tucked into the neighborhood. The dining room is cozy and intimate, with close quarters that add to the warm and inviting atmosphere rather than feeling crowded. Every detail contributes to the feeling that you've stepped into a small neighborhood restaurant somewhere in Italy. The bar is fully stocked, and the cocktail program feels thoughtfully curated, making it a great spot whether you're stopping in for dinn

Laid-back cafe with a big patio whipping up Vietnamese eats like pho, banh mi & banh xeo “tacos."
Fantastic place for comforting Vietnamese food. We tried the Pho as well as some of their fried chicken appetizers. Highly recommend any of the pho dishes, as well as the Yuca Chips. I'm a fan of strong coffee and the Vietnamese Coffee was just right. I'd go back just for the coffee, indeed. Lots of space for big parties indoors.

Louisiana-inspired fast-food chain known for its crispy fried chicken, chicken sandwiches & fries.
The chicken is quite good. The waiting time is reasonable. The employees work hard and are cordial. Any issues I've been able to resolve thru their app in a satisfactory manner.

Tried the sesame mochi cheese foam milk tea and loved it. It wasn't overly sweet with a rich, thick and creamy texture. The black sesame flavour really comes through and the chewy mochi adds a nice texture that makes it surprisingly filling. Also ordered the mild Korean gochujang drumsticks. They were cooked fresh to order and smelled amazing while waiting. Definitely worth the short wait. Will be back!

Cool, easygoing spot doling out chicken-broth ramen and other noodle house provisions.
Menkoi Sao had absolutely delicious ramen, it’s one of the best places in the city for some really good ramen. The ramen was really flavorful and bursting with flavor, the entire bowl was packed with flavor. The portion sizes are good and the price was also pretty good for the area. The service was really fast, I waited around 5 minutes for my food to come out. The servers were also really friendly. They also had good vegetarian options. The place is busy, but you can find a seat. Overall, would

Lively eatery with exposed brick & outdoor seating, pairing BBQ fare with cocktails & craft beer.
We did a pub crawl around Stone street where you can find several nice pubs. Among them, there was the Route 66, where you can have an amazing portion of loaded nachos, I addition to a large variety of beers, including four beers for $6 during happy hour. The service was somewhat slow and the team seemed understaffed for the numbers of people visiting the pub.

Popular, long-running spot doling out classic Puerto Rican plates in small, basic quarters.
The staff wasn't the most friendly, maybe because I don't speak Spanish fluently but I just didn't feel welcomed at all. This place would be very intimating to order food from if you don't speak Spanish. The menu is also a bit confusing since it looks like the prices has changed many times. I got 3 beef empanadas, 2 chicken empanads, 2 rice and beans, half quart of beef stew that only end up having like 4 pieces of beef in there, half quart of fried pork, and half quart of roast pork, it came ou

Authentic Lebanese food, desserts, and people. Dined at Chamoun with a couple of friends and was beyond satisfied with the quick service and serving sizes. The place really fills a niche for light traditional Lebanese food in the heart of the city. The atmosphere was incredibly cosey, and it felt like a classic hangout spot back in Beirut with the way the staff interacted with us. We also had Kunafah for dessert, and it was freshly made on the premises! Definitely pop by and give them a try. Up

Historical 1810 bi-level townhouse showcases New American fare in a dimly lit, rustic setting.
Average experience. Happy hour menu was a disappointment. The oysters served were tiny and the drinks are overpriced for "happy hour deals". Shrimp cocktail is the same price as on the regular menu, they just serve one less shrimp! Tater tots are not tots at all, but rather soggy potato cakes. House wine was disappointing. Service was excellent! Happy hour is definitely skipable, just stick to their regular menu!

Unfussy, decades-old Italian eatery serving up family-style pastas & entrees to communal tables.
I went to Dominick’s with my husband for his birthday and we were greeted with such love. It truly felt like home. The environment was so welcoming and the food was amazing. The Owner Charlie made it his business to greet us upon arrival and check in on us throughout the time we were there. The owner And the servers were so kind to my son and even gave him fist pumps and hugs when we were leaving.
