When my family and I arrived in NYC earlier this week, my daughter had one request: pho. After checking recommendations on maps, we landed at Banhmi Pro and I’m glad we did. I went with the shrimp pho, my daughter kept it simple with a vegetarian pho (no onions, just how she likes it), and my wife ordered the beef pho. Right away, you could tell everything was made with care. The broth was rich and flavorful without being overwhelming, the noodles were cooked just right, and every bowl came out
From serving comforting meals to dishing killer quick snacks/beverages, Banhmi-Pro is a saving grace on Atlantic Ave. Had about 15 minutes before catching my train and needed a matcha fix. Traditional bubble tea is great, sometimes switching up the type of bubbles in your drink makes for an even better drink. Highly recommend stopping by, especially if you’re in the area. It’s an intimate dining experience with large windows that brings in a ton of natural lighting.
The Beef Pho was my least favorite and disappointing because we were craving some good pho. The meat was very tough and the tendon was so hard and crunchy that it made it difficult to eat. We had to take the meat out of the pho to finish the broth. The bahn mi and rolls were good.
