Came here to celebrate my birthday and really enjoyed it. Booking through Google Maps was easy. The khachapuri was delicious, and the eggplant rolls were one of my favorite dishes. Our waitress recommended a Georgian red wine, and it was a great choice. Just a heads-up: live music is only on certain days, so don’t expect it every evening. They also surprised me with a complimentary Pavlova dessert for my birthday, which was a really nice touch. The restaurant was busy and a bit noisy, but the

Pierogi, kielbasa, and other hearty Polish fare are the specialty of this no-frills diner.
Very mediocre food. I grew up going to Greenpoint and I’ve been to a Poland, so I’m familiar with the food. Potato pancakes and veal were decent. Pierogis were not too good, the worst I’ve ever had. Vegetables were canned and over boiled on top of that. Stuffed cabbage was bland. Various cabbage based stuff was okay. Going to Greenpoint next time. I don’t think the other reviewers are familiar enough w this type of food. Portions are good though and there was no wait on a busy Saturday night.

Traditional Georgian cuisine like khachapuri in a simply decorated space with a back garden area.
we were in New York City looking to try something new and online reviews came up with Old Tbilisi Garden so we decided to check it out. We made a reservation for 8p and arrived a couple of minutes early but the restaurant was relatively empty so it was quick to get a table. We ordered the eggplant appetizer, the Georgian salad, the mushroom dumplings, and the cheese and spinach baked good. The eggplant and salad both came outburst and both were good in terms of size and flavor. The salad had

American outpost of Danish-inspired all-day bakery with cafe menu & table seating.
I was doing some shopping in the area and stopped by to grab a few croissants for the road. 🛍️🥐 The experience was quick and convenient, the staff was kind and welcoming 😊, and the bakery has a really nice atmosphere. Most importantly, the croissants were amazing—fresh, flaky, buttery, and absolutely delicious! 🤤✨ A perfect spot for a quick pastry and coffee break while exploring the neighborhood. ☕🥐 I’ll definitely stop by again next time I’m in the area! 👍😊🌟

First time we walked into Omar Khayyam three years ago by accident when on a regular pilgrimage to Brighton our go-to boardwalk usual has tanked low with food and service. For a small, packed with customers restaurant, Omar Khayyam seated us surprisingly quick and easy. Looking through the menu, I said something about liver being my favorite when the entire restaurant turned to me and from almost each table there was: — You must order their liver. You won’t find it better anywhere. My American h

As a Georgian, I highly recommend Cheeseboat in New York! The food is so incredibly delicious that this restaurant would be a massive hit even in Georgia. Every Georgian living in NY simply must visit this place. However, the absolute highlight is the restaurateur and chef, Keti. She embodies true Georgian motherly warmth and welcomes you just like a Georgian mother would. It is simply the best place! I highly recommend it to all New Yorkers who want to experience authentic Georgian flavors and

Traditional Hungarian dishes, crêpes, strudels & wines offered in quaint environs.
Visited this small, charming spot , that has seating for maybe 8 to 12 people ( best suited for an intimate meal). The focus here appears to be primarily on the bakery, with Hungarian cuisine as a secondary offering. On our visit, the advertised Hungarian wine wasn't available, though a house red and house white (both French) were on offer. The korozott appetizer was a highlight a blend of feta and cream cheese with onions and paprika, served in a bell pepper and accompanied by fresh red onion

Absolutely love Shashlik House in Brooklyn. Their soups are always rich and comforting, and the meat is incredibly tender every time. Today I had the pelmeni soup and it was perfect, flavorful broth, soft dumplings, and just the right amount of seasoning. Definitely one of my go-to spots when I want something warm and satisfying.

This gastropub may keep things simple with a small menu, but every item feels carefully crafted and worth your attention. The food options are limited in number but big on flavor, which honestly makes choosing easier because you can’t really go wrong. The wings were phenomenal—perfectly cooked with that ideal balance of crispiness on the outside and juicy tenderness inside. Packed with flavor, they easily stand out as a must-order. An incredible place to eat for anyone who loves Georgian Cuisine and culture. The food was superb, just like what you'd get in a restaurant in Georgia itself. The atmosphere and mood was even better, with live Georgian music and singing. The owner of the place even gifted a bottle of Georgian wine as I knew some Georgian songs and some of their culture. That was such a cool experience. Can recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area!

Looking for one of the best family-friendly cafes in NYC? A quick 5-minute walk from the Rector Street (R) subway station brings you to Complete Cafe, and my kids (ages 5–9) immediately declared it “the best cafe ever.” The biggest hit? Our table was basically a giant iPad. Everyone could browse the menu, color, play chess, and enjoy games right at the table — which meant zero complaints and a relaxing meal for the adults. What also stood out was that the food didn’t feel like typical frozen kid

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If you’re looking for a top-tier Georgian dining experience, Nota Bene is a must-visit. As someone who appreciates professional service and a well-curated wine list, I was thoroughly impressed. Their selection of Georgian wines is exceptional and pairs perfectly with the menu. The food is authentic and rich in flavor. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes: the Khachapuri was perfectly baked, and the Khinkali were juicy and traditional. The place was dead. I was told I needed to get the ticket online to enter (the ticket is free online). We got in but was told for next time to get the ticket online. When we went to the bar and ordered a corona we were told they were out and gave a Heineken instead and we were okay with it. We looked at the bottle and it was 0% alcohol. He tried to charge us 22$. We then said this does not have any alcohol in the drink and asked for a corona again and he gave use the corona. Would not recommend.

Had an amazing experience at Assaia Georgian Restaurant. The atmosphere was elegant, warm, and truly welcoming, but the highlight was definitely the food. The grilled platter was incredible — perfectly cooked sausages, juicy meat, crispy potato wedges, homemade sauces, pickled vegetables, and traditional Georgian flavors all served beautifully on a sizzling wooden board. Everything tasted fresh, rich, and authentic. The presentation alone was impressive, and the portions were very generous.

On the plus side, the place is quite clean by New York standards, which is always appreciated. It’s spacious and filled with tables — though surprisingly, there is no table service. You have to order and pick up your food yourself, yet tips are still added to the check automatically, which felt a bit odd. One inconvenience was that the prices listed on the menu did not match what we were actually charged. The cashier did mention that prices may vary, but it makes it hard to estimate the bill wh

Stopped by to get khinkali and khachapuri. The place was packed, but everyone was just sitting and waiting — clearly the workflow is not organized at all. I asked about the wait time and was told around 20 minutes for takeout. I ordered frozen khinkali (2 dozens) and two khachapuri, paid in full and added a 20% tip. Came back after 30 minutes, got in the car and realized they only gave me one khachapuri. Went back in — their response was: “Oh… you had two?” and then asked me to wait another 1

I want to give more stars because I think the place is super cute & I love that it’s located inside a Scandinavian museum w/ shops & things… but I just can’t. It was okay. The cookies were tasty & the cookie platter offered a lovely variety of cookies. However, the tea was plain (no cream offered) & the coffee was awful. I couldn’t recommend this place in good faith for anything other than the cookies & even those are… ehhhh. You’re better off going to a Swedish bakery for a cute fika moment tha

This is certainly a hidden gem, if you come there and look inside it looks like some beat up place with two tables, the best part remains hidden. And if you go further through, they have huge room, nicely furnished, lots of tables, plus another smaller room. Food is amazing, homestyle, proper napoleon cake, the dense version, not a puffy one.
