Jose is the absolute BEST host/event coordinator/manager EVER!! 🫶🏽 I had an absolutely amazing time celebrating my birthday with the Velvet BK team. Everything exceeded my expectations x 100000%!! Thank you for ALL of your help in making my birthday super special and unforgettable. You all were so accommodating and just made everything so seamless. You were so attentive not only to me, but to all of my guests as well. My family and friends can’t stop telling me how great you were that night. I

Keeping it 100. The girl with the the brown hair and baggy shirt (it’s a vibe by the way) asked me for a tip right away (I would have already . Don’t be wired). Thought it was cute for a hustlin vibe. But she got to relaxed. For my next beeerrrr it took a min because she was outside the bar chatting it up with her friends. Like what are we doing? Cute girl. But GURL. How do you ask for a tip and not capable of delivering.

Oh Boy...! That's a fantastic name for this small, cozy place in Williamsburg! When you walk out, you literally say, "Oh boy, that was good!" I had their breakfast burrito, and it was delicious! The spicy sauce was tasty too! Bonus points on the authenticity of the Polaroids on the wall and the vintage touch with the vinyls! 10/10 See ya soon :)

Small cafe with outdoor area. Great smoothies, very fresh tasting. Yummy crepes with a good amount of filling. The spicy chicken was delicious, it looks a little plain but inside was excellent. The spicy aoli made it a perfect combo of textures and flavors.

Went here for my birthday on Friday, the atmosphere was amazing & so was the place itself. Definitely loved it. We did a fixe menu for being a 9 top, and I loved the prosciutto & Caesar salad, the cacio e pepe & steak did come out cold , even when my friends asked for it to be warmed it still was cold, which is weird for those 2 foods especially even if it’s busy. I definitely wouldn’t get the steak again personally or the pasta, but the other two items were good. Drinks were a 10/10. Our server

Next up was Black Star Bakery & Café, a bright and effortlessly charming spot I visited on a mild Saturday in Brooklyn. Tucked along Driggs Avenue, the café opens into a space that feels both open and grounded—bathed in natural light that pours through wide windows and dances across its clean white interior. There’s an airiness to it, a kind of unspoken calm that makes even a simple coffee feel a touch more intentional. We ordered iced lattes, a cheese danish, and an almond croissant. The danis

Came in with a friend who used to be a local. He had set the bar high but I had an even better time than I thought I would. Was packed but didn’t seem crowded, clean, good seating and the overall setup is really cool. Then I realized there was an entire back room- we posted up on the high top booth for hours and had a great time. If I was local I would absolutely live here.

((4.5 stars)) Reuben Luncheonette is very much an old school spot for breakfast and lunch & anything in-between eats-wise. the luncheonette is a medium-sized place with seating at the counter bar--no tables. food is literally cooked in front of you on the grill. very much a slender hole-in-the-wall places of a NYC that is rapidly vanishing. the space shows its age as a spot in its worn-in interior...nothing fancy just a casual gem of a place that has survived the decades of gentrification by se

The tuna samousas were pretty good but they were smaller than expected like cocktail size. The rougail sauciesse with rice and lentils were delicious, and I'm surprised they served silverware out of a vintage-looking can. The inside of the restaurant felt a bit cozy, and sauce to meatball ratio was pretty good. I wish the portions were larger though especially for the appetizers. Overall, it's a nice addition since finding Reunion food in the US is pretty rare.

A great addition to the Brooklyn bar scene! Bar Madonna offers so many elevated, delicious cocktails that it’s hard to choose. However, I was indecisive about what I should try since I'm laying off of sugary & milk base drinks. The barista was extremely patient with me and gave me great suggestions. I can’t say enough about this authentic, heartful, lively, fun, beautiful bar. Great music, vibes, real irish people- actually from ireland!:), plus locals, hipsters, students, firemen, everyone is here! I’ve never had a bad time, the true meaning of what a bar can be. A meeting point for new friends and old, singing, talking, and yes, drinking. But don’t expect the guinness you can get in ireland. But for a close real irish feel as only the irish can do- with a brooklyn vibe-this is your place

This is my first time eating Taiwan dishes at NYC. I came to this place with normal expectations but left really amazed of the incredible food. The food in this place is over the top, we had a few entries that were all really and then two different fried rice dishes and ohh boy… they were really really good, I was impressed. Tucked away in the heart of Williamsburg, Ants Coffee is my new go-to spot for that perfect blend of chill and charm. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, inviting hug of a space—think exposed brick walls, plush mismatched seating that begs you to linger, and just the right amount of greenery to make it feel like a secret garden escape from the Brooklyn hustle. It also has a such a cozy vibe and lots of space to do work from. The coconut cloud matcha drink is delicious (I’ve gotten it every day even though I’m not a matcha person). I stop by this place frequently and always have s great experience. I can’t speak to how crowded it gets at peak times, but whenever I was there the vibe was excellent—good music, great service, and really solid cocktails. Special shoutout to Tabetha behind the bar, who makes some of the best cocktails I’ve had in a while. Definitely worth stopping in if you appreciate a well-made drink.

Basic neighborhood watering hole with a pool table, video games & skeeball, plus a backyard.
One of the best dive bars in Brooklyn. Prices are great, the energy is good, tons of sports on tv, pool table, big outdoor area, and nice clean bathrooms. Plus they have a touch tune machine so you can play your own music And they’re very flexible with it too, not like other establishments where they shut off the music after a while or lower it cause they don’t like something that you played. On top of all this, the owner and the staff are really incredibly nice. Would highly recommend this plac

I been going to this spot for 2 years. It’s been closed for a few months for reservations and just re-opened. This food is no longer worth it. The food does NOT taste the same. They keep lying saying the old chef is coming back but I can tell her not. Also the fried rice use to be like $15 it’s almost $30 now and however the flavor and taste is NO. Great neighborhood gay bar/club if you enjoy music with lyrics, ha. Crowd is younger and the neon sign above the bathroom “[do not feed drugs to the twinks]” indicates well the majority of this queer establishment’s patrons. It’s a lot of fun, and all genders are welcome. Bathroom lines can be long, similar to most smaller queer night clubs in the area. Visited this charming corner Irish bar during St. Patrick’s Day weekend while in NYC with my wife. Our local friends brought us here specifically, knowing it would deliver an authentic experience away from the tourist-packed celebrations elsewhere in the city. Despite being a Saturday afternoon of the festive weekend, the place had the perfect atmosphere - lively but not overwhelming. The intimate space had that classic neighborhood pub feel that’s increasingly rare to find in Manhattan. The G

I rarely leave reviews, but this place earned it. Let’s start with the coat check, because somehow it set the tone for everything that followed. Chaotic, disorganized, and handled with a level of indifference that immediately makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing the staff by existing. No clear system, no accountability, just vibes—and bad ones. Service overall is painfully inconsistent. Staff seem overwhelmed, disengaged, or both. Very unique and delicious dishes! The anchovy potato was out of this world! The scallops were so fresh, as well as the sushi. The reason I have 4 stars for the food is because my husband wasn’t satisfy enough with the beef steak. Compared to other dishes, this one was quite average. It could have been just not to his taste, unfortunately I couldn’t try it bc I’m a pescatarian. The cocktails were extremely yummy.
