This place is honestly kind of insanely good and I really miss living close by. I used to live just a couple blocks away and I'd drop in maybe once a month or so. Really great food for the price. I came to NYU for a week-long program during the summer. Some of the food was good while some was not, especially the breakfast. However, having visited several colleges during the summer, I've found that the menu isn't typically as good as what's offered during the regular school season, so it is completely understandable. Beef and broccoli extremely overcooked and dry; plus an excessive amount of white rice (bad ratio). Other than that, service good. Never come back again though due to increase in price, and decrease in quality.

The menu had quite a nice variety of items. Unfortunately, many of the menu images look nothing like the food themselves, which can feel disappointing and misleading. The chicken katsu curry came with an egg that was not pictured, which I did not want, and the dish looked quite different from the photo.

I’ve loved this coffee shop for years. Today, while I was getting my coffee, a woman walked in with a dog and I was honestly a bit over it. A few seconds later, she left and that’s when I noticed the “No Pets Allowed” sign. It’s not that I hate dogs at all; it’s the lack of consideration from some owners who don’t think about people with allergies or fears. Seeing that sign made me appreciate this place even more. Great coffee and respect for everyone always a win.
