We had our first room completely dirty, bathtub was full of body hair and nastiness all over ,the bathroom was all dirty, stains and whatnot on the bedding, the desk had food drinks etc stuck all over it and just all around dirty! We book through the Amex Fine Hotel collection, we didn't receive a room upgrade which was a little disappointing but the room was still very nice and spacious for a New York Hotel. When planning a recent bookstore date, I specifically suggested this location because I wanted to support a Black woman-owned bookstore in my hometown, the Bronx, rather than visiting another shop in Brooklyn. Amazing place in Brooklyn to host a party! Hosted my daughters sweet 15 here and everything and everyone was excellent! Everyone from the party planning to the staff during the party was excellent! I love this hotel. Our stay has been so relaxing. The pool is hot enough to enjoy even in freezing winter temperatures, the food and drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. Happy hour is a plus. I haven't met a single staff member I didn't like. The room has everything you could want and it's on the same block as the 4 and 6 subway stop. I highly recommend making this your trip destination.
