Has the food twice! 1st time they ran out of a lot of stuff which was disappointing but overall it was tasty. 2nd time I got just beef patties and they were so dry!! Look at this picture. Can't believe they would sell me these!! I'm so disappointed. Someone let me know if they get better.

I ordered food from them and it was terrible. The rice completely looks like oatmeal, it was so mushy and like slop. The chicken was barely done. I was so mad when I got home. Change the cook or close the kitchen! I had to throw away 2 trays of food. Waste . Smh

A great place to unwind after a long day at work, with employees who are very nice and respectful. You can also rent out the place. They had a Cairokee event before, which was very nice and funny, with happy vibes. The owner is very nice and always looks out for her guest making sure everyone is safe and enjoying the atmosphere. They have 2 bars of needed as well, very spacious for events as well. Drinks aren't expensive reasonable price.

Dan’s bakery is my favorite. They have the best tennis roll and bread. You can keep the tennis roll outside for two weeks and it does not get mildew. Their service is the best and the atmosphere is excellent. I live to go sit and eat there.

I always stop at this Guyanese restaurant in Brooklyn if I can when I'm there. This time I had a delicious, freshly made salara and some fried fish with okra cook-up rice. There food always tastes like I'm eating from my Guyanese mom so I ate it all. The only disappointment is that they didn't have roti so call ahead and check if thst is what you'd be interested in.

I came across this food joint while running some errands in the neighborhood. It is beyond my expectations from a small take-out like place. The food is really delicious, flavorful! You can see the open kitchen in the back and it’s clean. The staff is also very friendly to give recommendations since I am not familiar with Jamaican food. I am still thinking about the food after 6 hours! It’s just so delicious! I may have to come back to the Bronx again just for this!

My church just hosted a fish fry. I shopped around everywhere to find a price that was right. All the prices that the big name restaurants gave me were unrealistic. I found this wonderful woman, owner of this beautiful restaurant. She was so polite, so helpful, and motivating when I felt like giving up on the event. Waited years to come here. And it was a huge let down. I gave it to the birds in the parking lot 50ft away. 2 cashiers were rushing me to order. Then had to beg to upgrade one of the order’s. They just had too much bad attitude. The patty was dry and hard. The meals we had were bland and tasted like yesterday leftovers. The seagulls enjoyed it all though. Never would visit this location again!

I usually go to the Utica Ave location in Brooklyn but recently found out about this location. The curry goat with rice and peas is a must try. Also, make sure to ask for the natural juices, i recommend trying the pineapple ginger. The Guyanese young lady behind the counter is great, always a smile and creates a welcoming atmosphere. This place is definitely on my weekly food stop.

Customer service is excellent 👌, the employee let me tried ackee & saltfish and other breakfast. I end buy all breakfast on the Steamtable it was so good; I didn't know what to choose. I went back the next day for lunch special. Omg line was long but it was worth the wait but the employees move really fast. In 5 mins I was next. My lunch special was rice & peas & boneless jerk chicken. I will definitely coming back every day for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Sati Roti Shop serves absolutely delicious food, and their warm, friendly customer service makes every visit a pleasure. On top of that, they’re incredibly generous—always donating amazing meals to our church next door. Truly a gem in the community!

I ordered Ackee & salt fish with food..1st problem the Ackee was mushy , and tasteless there was about 3 fork full of tasteless overcooked salt fish I know the Ackee is suppose to take on the flavor of the salt fish. Shout out to the chef! This spot hasn't missed yet, the curry chicken is so authentic and tasty. And the guava wings are my fave! Definitely a lovely twist on one of the best carribean flavors! The food I can say is amazing however the hospitality and the service doesn’t match. I was really disappointed with my experience here. I ordered the large Dominican breakfast, which according to the menu included eggs, salami, and cheese. I also requested extra cheese. 1st time ordering from there and it will be my last time ordering anything from them. I called in for delivery, order came to $43 for the Pasta Oxtail and a side of plantains. Now I tried to call and they kept hanging up my call! Which was unfair cause as you can see from the looks of the photos. I normally go the tropical taste on Church Ave but I was on Seaview and decided to give this place a try. My husband was a little apprehensive but I thought the food looked fresh and the presentation was impressive. I ordered the medium curry goat with rice and peas and my husband got Jerk Chicken. Went and met the owner and her husband beautiful people. You can literally smell the goodness of the food and the love of the people which is a beautiful thing and you don’t get often and I finally had curry goat, and it was amazing. I even bought a whole dinner meal once I tried one piece of it beautiful beautiful cooking you must try it.

I bought a chicken buss up roti on 6/26/26 it's the worse roti ever I got back and side bone I asked for not spicy it was very spicy. the bussup roti was extremely hard . it was better before but it's terrible now.i also got doubles that was not good either the Barra was so tough it's like hard fry bake.

I stopped by this past Tuesday Feb 17 to buy some patties. They need a better ventilation system, the doors always have condensation on them. I asked the lady who came out how much the patties were, she pointed up. She came off standoffish. So when I wanted to pay after telling her which patties I wanted, she said $10 minimum for a card. This is 2026. They just don’t want to pay the fee. I canceled it and left, I’d never come back.

Private Room is easily one of my favorite night spots! The chicken wings come with a side included, which is a great deal—and everything was well seasoned and flavorful. We also tried the chicken empanadas and the oxtail pizza… both were sooo good. It started getting pretty busy around 1 AM, and the music was a perfect mix of rap, R&B, afrobeats, and reggae, which kept the vibe going all night. I placed an order for jerk chicken only on DoorDash. The dasher waited at the restaurant for over 30 mins. Finally, the food arrived and as I was eating the chicken I noticed its undercooked. The bones still have blood on it. I will have to stop ordering from this place. I am extremely disappointed especially since I waited over an hour for this chicken.

Recently placed a UberEats order, quickly notified me about a menu item replacement which was great. As a restaurant consultant, I can appreciate the professionalism. Curry chicken was on POINT. Everything in the combo was delicious. Fried chicken was to great. Felt a little “old” was hoping to be more juicier. Someone replaced my fried shrimp w/coconut shrimp and it was REALLY GOOD! If you want authentic Guyanese cuisine, the place to go is Upper Dem Express. The food is finger licking good! I highly recommend the Bakes and Saltfish. You haven't had baked chicken unless you have theirs. It is done in a unique sauce that would have you wanting more each time. The restaurant is immaculately clean and the staff courteous and friendly.
