Food is good but when you gotta throw your whole lunch out that cost over 10 bucks because these people follow no rules on food safety and leaves hair in your food, it’s very upsetting I won’t be able to trust this place anymore.

Rustic-chic bar & eatery presenting a diverse menu of Mediterranean tapas & entrees, plus delivery.
If you haven’t been to Mazzat Brooklyn yet, you are missing out on one of the best hidden gems in all of NYC. This Egyptian family-owned Mediterranean restaurant on Columbia St in Downtown Brooklyn has been around since 2006 and the moment you walk in, you understand why. The warmth hits you immediately. It genuinely feels like home, the kind of place where you slow down, settle in, and just enjoy. The team is warm, attentive and makes every visit feel personal. Now let’s talk about the food. T

If you’re in the mood for Middle Eastern food, this place is definitely worth checking out. It is a my lucky discover. The service is quick and friendly. If you ever visit Jerusalem the food really reminds you of it— fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Everything tastes just from the oven, well-seasoned and homemade. Definitely try the vegetable pickles, shawarma meats, rice, fries, falafel, and the fresh salads. I believe you will come here again and again

It was our first time checking out Mottley Kitchen, and we will absolutely be back. The decor inside is really nice, and the staff was so welcoming and accommodating. They greeted us right away and took the time to help us navigate the menu, which we really appreciated. My son got the New York Combo, and honestly, it was the best hands down because it was packed with flavor in every single bite. I ordered the Chermoula Chicken Burger, which tasted incredibly fresh. I stopped into this fast food restaurant to get something quick to eat. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and went to the counter to order. The place was small and mainly for take out. Everything was very tasty all in all!

Amazing Yemeni spot! It truly felt like being transported to Yemen. The flavors were incredible and so authentic. We ordered the Fahsa, Fish, and Saltah, and every dish was a 10/10. Everything was rich, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The customer service was also outstanding the staff were very attentive and made us feel so welcome throughout the entire experience. A variety of flavored tobaccos complements classic Middle Eastern dishes at this hookah bar.
I’ve tried real hookah before, the kind where two puffs and you immediately feel the effect, but this one didn’t feel like anything. It was just smoke. There are much better hookah spots out there. The staff was very friendly, but the place itself doesn’t feel exclusive or high-end at all. It actually looks more like a cheap option. I wouldn’t go back. 18% gratuity included!

This is probably my favorite hookah spot in NJ and NYC. Yes, there are more high end spots that try to enter the nightlife territory (as if a hookah lounge is supposed to be a night club). That’s alright, but I personally enjoy a hookah lounge that is a place where I can lay back and relax at (which is what a lounge is). This spot genuinely makes me feel as if I’m taking a vacation from American culture. The hookah is very solid and is at a good price. They serve all the hookah on a grapefruit

Ay bro when I tell you how good this spot was. Starting off the manager was such a chill guy, every customer coming in he greeted them with respect and gave honest recommendations. Very respectful guy, the food I can’t even rank it a 10/10 because I would be disrespecting it. The hot Cheetos burger is just perfection. Good service and clean also. Would definitely recommend it, a little bit costy but for the portions you are getting is 100% valid, other places would be charging ODE extra. Also it

Everything was just perfect, from the quality of the food to the excellent service. Modern counter-service Lebanese spot with appetizers & build-your-own rolls, bowls & salads.
I love Naya for their toppings, even more than the meat or main course. The choices are excellent - like Toum, Lebanese pickes, picked turnips and on and on. I always order online and pick it up to avoid the line. But, if we go earlier or later, for lunch, picking these things would be a pleasure as well. Find the staff to be quick and very professional!

Actually outstanding. The dips are world-class. Best mahumarrah and hummus I’ve had in nyc. The tomato-egg brunch thing was phenomenal. The pita is fluffy and delicious and perfect. Our server was SO kind and awesome. The coffee is good. The yemini tea was delish. The prices are great. Brunch starts at ~$13 which is so fair. Desserts look great. My only complaint is that it’s a bit cold inside when it’s cold outside. The cold seeps in.

Homey, neighborhood halal nook offering late hours & traditional Afghan meals to eat in or take out.
Balkh Shish Kabab House is a traditional Afghan restaurant that focuses on classic dishes, grilled meats, and a more authentic dining experience. The space has an old-school feel with simple décor that adds to its character rather than feeling overly modern or polished. What stood out to me was that the restaurant feels comfortable and welcoming, with a focus on the food and hospitality rather than trying to create a trendy atmosphere. 2/14/2026 – Would we come back? Absolutely. Food • Lentil Soup – 7.5/10: Smooth and fresh, could use a bit more flavor. • Mozzarella Sticks – 9/10: Perfectly crispy. • Pita Bread – 10/10: Great alone or with dips; loved the crunch. • Chicken Shawarma – 10/10: Seasoned beautifully. Even the salad that had tomatoes (which I normally avoid) were delicious. The rice gave halal-cart vibes in the best way. • Lamb Chops – 8.5/10: Initially undercooked, but George fixed it immediately. Came back flavor

Ate here Jun. 23. I ordered via online which was a little late than the time I gave them but it was a bit busy. I got the chicken schwarma bowl with various add-ons and sauces (the pomegranate tahini is really good!) There is plenty of seating inside. For the very affordable price you pay you get a lot and all of it is delicious. Honestly you could save half for the next day if you wanted to. Very delicious shawarma! If you’re from a CIS country and miss that authentic taste, this is the place to go. We ordered Shawerma #6 — it comes with meat, vegetables, and fries inside the wrap. It was incredibly tasty! The preparation time is usually around 10–20 minutes, but during busy hours you may have to wait longer, so ordering online is a good idea. Intimate, stylish restaurant presenting contemporary takes on traditional Palestinian cuisine.
We recently hosted an engagement celebration for a young couple near and dear to us at Qanoon, and while we weren't sure what to expect, we were absolutely thrilled with the experience. This small, intimate, and bustling Palestinian spot in Chelsea delivers in a big way. Yes, it is crowded, but that only adds to the vibrant, cozy atmosphere of this location. The food, however, is the real star—everything was excellent. We ordered a spread of appetizers to share: the Hummus, creamy Baba Ganoush,

I may have visited the Sandwich shop at Steinway one other time in the past but have been wanting to go there again for a long time. My friend and I ended up going the other day and the food did not disappoint. We had the olive chicken with rice and lamb shank with fries. The food was excellent and the serving quantity generous. Everything here is so fresh. The veg in the display case are perky and colorful, not like the limp salads you usually see. This has to be the worst falafel platter I have ever had, and the fries were mushy to the point that they may as well have been mashed potatoes.
