K. Minamoto exudes what we all love about Japanese culture - the elegance, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and brutal strive for perfection in all that they do. This bakery carries exquisite snacks, elegantly packed and presented. We got the fresh made mochi and they take us right back to Japan. If you have had a mochi in Japan, you definitely need to come here if you're missing your time there. Next time we visit NYC, we'll be back for sure.

I inquired about whether or not their Singpore Mei Fun had gluten, and the young woman was very helpful and even made sure I wasn't allergic to eggs! Based on that alone, I am sure the food is going to be very good. I haven't eaten chinese food in so long because of my gluten allergy, but the young lady made me feel less anxious. Dined in around 3-4pm & it was basically empty. Their enchiladas verdes de pollo was amazing & a perfect portion, although it only came with one slice of avocado. This is a cash-only, take-out and ever since they ended dine-in service, the former dining room is dim-lit and empty, giving entrance the charm of a warehouse loading dock. However, there is a good reason why this rather plain looking take-out restaurant is still here after so many years. The service is friendly, the food is well prepared, the crispy items are crispy, and the food portions are excellent. We're never disappointed.
