Ellie’s Chinese is better for takeout than dine in as the restaurant is a bit dark and cramped. The food is standard Chinese fare, with lunch specials starting just under $11 (tax included), one of the most affordable in the neighborhood. The mixed vegetable was tender-crispy but a little heavy on the garlic. The tofu with broccoli was ok.

This place is now my favorite $4 peanut butter rice noodle with pickled veggie spot. Look at the amount of sauerkraut!!! Some places do not get the sauce to noodle ratio right- this one does! Their chili oil is packed with flavor and has the Szechuan kick which most places do not.

I order from this restaurant all the time because their customer service is amazing as is the food. Food is always fresh and delivered hot. Today i ordered fried pork dumplings for the first time and wow is all I can say!! They are just the right size and filled with a delicious a delicious pork mixture where you literally bite into fresh ginger. The dumpling sauce...OMG THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DRAGON KING !! You will not be disappointed from such a great find in the South

For context, this is my first visit ordering one item. Casual restaurants, especially one with such generous hours, are subject to at least a little variance with the quality of their service. I ordered at 11 pm on a Saturday night. warning: this place only accepts cash First things first, the restaurant is quite bare. It's a small space that seems to still be setup for the pandemic. There's no seating or chairs, and there's a big acrylic panel separating customers from the employees. Going in

My children were nagging to endeavor some Chinese food in this new restaurant. It was once a restaurant known for Fujounese fishballs and wontons that has since moved down the street. I was hesitant at first, yet my wife bought a stir fried rice noodle the other night convinced me to venture in for lunch with my kids. We ordered sweet and sour pork, green pepper steak, double cooked pork, stir fried Chinese broccoli, and of course, stir fried rice noodles. I told them everything should be mild b

My boyfriend and I live around the corner and he was craving Chinese food. We saw on Google that this place recently opened so we thought we'd give it a try. You walk in and there is a self order kiosk. Unfortunately there are no pictures of the food on the machine, just a few on the wall. I'm visual so I hope they add pictures as time goes on. There is also only one, so if someone else is already there, you'd have to wait your turn. We ended up getting the egg drop soup ($3.50), chicken steam

Been coming to this place since I moved to the neighborhood… the baked goods are fantastic, and they recently expanded their storefront so they have a robust hot bar as well. I really like their stirfried noodles and stuffed eggplant! The coffee is also good, both hot and iced. Nothing gourmet, but everything I’ve tried is hearty, delicious, and inexpensive.

Nuan Xin Rice Roll 暖心饭团 is a small spot focused on Taiwanese fan tuan, a type of stuffed sticky rice roll that feels like a cross between a rice ball, onigiri, and kimbap. The shop keeps things simple, but the concept works well for a quick and filling meal, especially when you want something affordable that still has plenty of flavor. The rice rolls are the main reason to come here. The purple sticky rice gives each roll a slightly chewy texture and makes it feel more substantial than a typica

Nice people who owns this restaurant. The only thing I ever purchase is broccoli with white rice, the broccoli extra soft. Whenever the owner sees me or if I call she knows exactly what I want and she doesn't make me purchase a certain amount of food in order to receive delivery. The only thing I don't really care for is when I order my broccoli with garlic sauce, it doesn't taste like garlic sauce to me it tastes like some type of sweet red pepper flakes sauce. It's still good though just not w

Just moved into the area. Checked this place out and ordered a chicken and shrimp lomein. People behind the counter were really nice and the food was pretty decent. Soon as I came in tho there was this smell that’s I couldn’t bare. Almost made me reconsider. Thankfully I didn’t. Other than that, solid spot in my opinion.

Shaxian is a very commonly found eatery in China (there's a story behind it...), but there is only 2(? as of today's date) in New York. It is extremely difficult to maintain its reputation as cost-friendly, no frills, and convenient when you try to operate in the States. With the overhead cost- I think they are already operating at razor-thin margin by still maintaining the integrity of the menu. I found some of the earlier comments quite unjustified. I admit: there will always be a special pla

I have been here a few times recently. It's one of the first restaurants you come upon after leaving the train station. The hanging meat in the window is unavoidable. Despite roasted ducks and chicken being a main attraction, what made me want to come back was the cheung fun. The last time I was here, I was placing a to go order when I saw the woman making them. They're super thin, and I really liked her technique. I have a lot of options, they will incorporate their crispy pig or some of t

you can’t really go wrong with 98k chicken. they are a solid chain restaurant here focusing on fried chicken. texture is crispy, not too oily, and always comes piping hot. their milk tea is quite milky to my taste, not much tea taste but compliments the spicy popcorn chicken very well which leaves a spicy ting in your mouth. the wings were pretty good, nice for the price. prices of everything overall is very cheap, would recommend over the popular chains like popeyes or kfc. overall i think the

Solid spot for a traditional Chinese dinner! The space is clean and bright. The food isn't overly oily either. I came for a wedding banquet here, where we were seated upstairs. Our 14-course menu included tons of Chinese dinner classics, like Salt and Pepper Pork chops, a Pea Shoot veggie dish, and Lobster! Everything tasted great and the service was prompt. Absolutely loved the 螺蛳粉 (snail broth rice noodles) and 酸辣粉 (spicy and sour glass noodles)! Great flavour and a good amount of toppings. I was especially in love with the 酸辣粉 because it’s hard for me to find the kind that I like (just as sour as it is spicy), and these noodles were nice and thick/chewy. Thicker than typical glass noodles but quite nice all the same. We are definitely coming back for both!

Came in hungry and left completely full. The stinky tofu is incredibly crispy on the outside, and when you bite into it, it bursts with spicy broth, chili powder, and pickled veggies. Super spicy but so worth it. The classic beef noodle soup was my favorite — the noodles are silky smooth, the beef is soft and not dry at all, and the broth is rich and香辣. The dry beef noodles are also great if you want something even more intense without soup. The pickled long bean and ground pork rice bowl comes

My folks were excited to see a new Toisan place so they ordered a bunch of take out from here back when they first opened and I guess I never got around to writing a review. We tried the 5 spiced goose and yellow eel claypot rice. Both were very overpriced for what we got. They had told us we had to wait 30 minutes for the claypot so we had high expectations. The best part of claypot rice is that layer of crispy rice at the bottom which unfortunately was absent from our takeout order. The eel pi

This place was an awesome. The owner is super nice. I wanted a avacado smoothy but the owner was honest and told me he wouldn’t be able to since the avacado was not ripe yet. Most business will just make it and take your money but he was honest and told me he rather make it when the avacado was ready. This tells me he cares about the quality of his products. It is cheap Chinese take out but better with more of a Chinese taste over an American Chinese taste to the food there where it is only $8.50 (at this time) for rice, 4 sides, and soup. it is usually quick and the people are really nice and they give you a big portions sometimes. the atmosphere is pretty nice with how nice the workers are. this usually can be a replacement to dinner if you don't want to cook.
