Amazing food and warm service—but the Sohna Punjab Signature Chili Rice truly stole the show! The flavor was so outstanding that I couldn’t resist ordering two more to take home for my daughters. Absolutely memorable! My favorite place—only Sohna Punjab!

First time trying this place and my expectations were greatly exceeded. The garlic naan was fluffy and actually had a garlic taste unlike many other places. The butter chicken was nice and creamy. The sesame cauliflower was unexpectedly delicious too! Not too spicy which was perfect. I really enjoyed everything and will be coming back for more.

Emmy winner Indian comedian/actor vir das recommended this restaurant. They have some non traditional appetizers and entrees. Food was tasty but not to the level where you would want to come here over and over. I would definitely return for their brunch menu which has lot of my favorite dishes. I’ll update the review after that visit. Prices are little steep for an Indian restaurant. Their average menu item is $30. For context celebrity chef vikas khanna charges around $20-$25 for average menu i

Very delicious food and super cozy environment! I celebrated my 27th birthday there and everything we got was delicious. We recommend the samosa chaat, chicken tikka, butter chicken, goat saag, garlic naan, cheese naan, gulab jamun, and kulfi.

I am happy I chose to stop in for some takeout today. I ordered a nice selection of dishes for my family. While waiting for the food to be ready, I enjoyed watching music videos on the TV. The order was ready sooner than expected, and the cost was really decent for amount of food. I got the veggie samosas, which were perfectly seasoned and not greasy at all, garlic, cheese, and kashmiri naans, all of which were lovely, butter chicken - which had just the right balance of sweet and tangy sauce an

It is one of the best south asian restaurant(halal) in Brooklyn. I was there with my best friend for lunch. Food was amazing. For the appetizers we ordered samosa chat and shrimp hariyali tikka. For the main course we had chicken biryani and achari chicken. It was delicious. The owner is a very nice person. I would definitely recommend this place.

Hey there! I’m new to the neighborhood, so I decided to take a walk and somehow ended up discovering Chai Wala. From the moment I walked in, the vibe pulled me in. The host was warm, welcoming, and helped me pick the perfect order. I started with a hot chai and a strawberry banana crepe… and wow every bite, every sip, perfect. I ended up staying about 40 minutes, just soaking it all in, before grabbing an iced milk tea with boba to go (which was just as amazing) and another crepe. The whole expe

Familiar Indian cooking & some traditional offerings served in a relaxed, white-tablecloth space.
I’ve been coming here for the past few days, and I’m genuinely impressed every single time. The food tastes truly authentic — the kind of real Indian flavor that’s hard to find. The chicken is unbelievably tender, literally falling apart with each bite. The tikka masala is exceptional, and the butter chicken is just as incredible. This place has a special atmosphere, and I know I’ll be coming back again and again.

I was in the neighborhood around 1:30pm on a Friday, and I saw that Omar's had decent reviews. There was only one other party aside from me inside, and they have a decently sized space. The interior has a nice ambiance if you do decide to sit down. I thought the special was a steal for $17.95! I ordered the vegetable samosas, naan, and chicken saagwala. The samosas were the hugest I have ever eaten, and the filling was very tasty. There was a bit of a kick to the curry filling if that's somethi

I really love the food! Everything is incredibly delicious! The cheese pastries, the garlic pastries, the chicken masala, the masala lassi… absolutely amazing!! The service is pleasant, and the decor is lovely. One small suggestion: it would be great to clean the decorations a bit more often, as they seem a little dusty right now. Took a chance and ordered on Grubhub, Chicken Tikka Biryani, (as listed on Grubhub). BEST biryani I’ve ever had! That’s saying something. So much flavor! Chicken was so good, cut perfectly, not dry at all but not sticky either 10/10! Vegetable samosas are so good, the dough was made perfectly. The 2 sauces on the side are just as great with it. Food was so good I ordered again, Goat curry with rice. This wasn’t my favorite, it wasn’t bad but not my favorite. I happened to walk by this place, I a

I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve tried here. The samosas are a great start, and the chicken tikka is flavorful and well cooked. The naan is fresh and pairs perfectly with the dishes, and the tandoori chicken is another standout. Overall, every dish I’ve had has been consistently delicious. Desi Galli in the Lower East Side is definitely a spot worth checking out. I had the Paneer Tikka Poutine Fries and they were very good the tikka sauce was extremely flavorful and really made the dish stand out. The staff here is super friendly and the food comes out pretty fast, which is always a plus. I also tried the Paneer Tikka Masala, and the portion size is no joke easily enough to feed two or even three people. The paratha was cooked very well, soft, flavorful, and perfect for scooping e

We visited New York from the UK, and Aagaar became our must-stop spot every single day for four days straight. The food was incredibly authentic any Indian food lover must visit this place. The chef and the entire support staff were simply amazing. Every dish was absolutely scrumptious, and I loved every bite. That comforting craving for dal-rice away from home was so beautifully satisfied here. Wishing Aagaar continued success and shine! ⭐️

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was genuinely frustrating. I ordered goat biryani expecting a rich, aromatic dish, but what I received was far from it. It seemed like a mix of leftover rice and curry rather than a properly prepared biryani. The goat was overcooked to the point of being extremely chewy, making it difficult to enjoy. What was most disappointing was the complete lack of authenticity in the dish. There was no hint of saffron or ghee—key elements that give birya

I ordered Desi Grill for takeout recently, and I was genuinely impressed by how well everything traveled. The Lamb Vindaloo was easily one of my favorite dishes of the meal. Vindaloo has a fascinating history because it originated in Goa and was inspired by a Portuguese dish called carne de vinha d’alhos, which translates to meat marinated in wine and garlic. Over time, Indian cooks adapted the recipe by replacing the wine with vinegar and incorporating local spices, creating the bold and flavo

My in law for some reason has an affinity for this Bangladeshi restaurant Al-Aqsa which used to be Taj Mahal a few years back. On this visit, he ordered kolija (liver) singara, samosas, beef bihari, and beef tehari. The singara was great, just like back home. The samosas were bad. The meat smelled off and was unpleasant enough that I could not eat them. The beef bihari kebab was overly salty and tangy and did not come with onions or raita. Food here was so so so good! I will say, the place looks very unassuming when you walk in, but don’t let that deter you! The staff is very friendly, and the food was delicious. They even gave us the option to adjust spice level (“American” vs “Indian” levels spicy too). We got the Chana masala, butter chicken, garlic naan, mango lassi, and vegetable samosa!
