came in here and ordered 4 pupusas. after 20+ minutes they got my order wrong. they were too busy hanging out and eating next to the food they were preparing, touching ready to eat food with their bare hands after i watched the one primarily making the food put her finger in her mouth. it also smelled heavily of something burning. wouldn’t go back.

It's a convenient restaurant in my workplace area. The service is good and I found the staff friendly. The lunch special of grilled salmon filet with white rice & beans is on point. At a price of $10 bucks, that's my lunch and dinner for the day. Winning☺️!

I've eaten here more than 25 times. I always get their soup of the day and white rice. Affordable, hot, and the best white rice from any Colombian restaurant. Also, excellent homemade hot sauce. Has a restroom.

I was here once when someone took me, I was in the neighborhood and decided to stop in; I couldn’t remember what I tried last time so I got Tostadas. I do NOT do reviews but this food was so good I need them to have more recognition! The pork was so juicy and flavorful , all the toppings tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned PLEASE stop buy because I couldn’t believe they weren’t packed I enjoyed my meal and hope to try more there

I stumbled in here while waiting for service to be done @ the Ford service center. The food was great and cheap, the employees were friendly. It's a great little "hole in the wall". I will return.

Absolutely delicious, authentic Natas! It’s wonderful to finally be able to get an authentic version of these outside of Europe. I purchased a box of 6 and received a fresh batch straight out of the oven, needless to say, I ate half before I got home 🫢 The space is small and very packed with students during the week but the staff are very friendly and move quickly. I also love that they add the powdered sugar and cinnamon for you. Will be back, often!!

I hosted an engagement party here and all I can say is that it was an AMAZING experience. The space is so fun and funky and the drinks were stellar. Most importantly, the staff here is one of a kind. They were so sweet and helpful throughout the night and made the whole event truly effortless. Can’t recommend Lise and Vito enough! (Also their jello shots are a must try!)

DISGUSTING!!! This is what you're being served as a customer. Moldy cheese… mind you this is mozzarella cheese (which isn't supposed to be any color but white). I drive back to this establishment and the boss/cook decides to defend the moldy cheese on the sandwich instead of taking accountability that he served someone spoiled food. This is also located right next to a hospital (you would think they would take extra precaution when preparing food). UNACCEPTABLE, NEVER AGAIN!!!

It’s a overall nice tapas. The safira is quite a strong cocktail. Overall the blueberry basque is the best and carlota shrimp rank second. The surrounding is noisy and could hardly listen clearly

Insane tastes. I ate the entire meal like if I was starving. 2nd time here. The chimichurri on the rice is unbelievable. Good clean eating. Very cute cozy spot, very humble employees. Loved the old school Tango music they were playing. Very romantic. I even had to Shazam some of it. Happy New Years!

Ray's Cafe is a tiny down to earth cafe on City Island in the Bronx. It is not to be confused with all the big touristy overpriced fried seafood restaurants that line City Island Ave. This is the place the locals come for a inexpensive breakfast or lunch. Ray's is small, my guess is that it can hold at best 20 guests? It is not fancy, it has hand written signs taped to the wall and you can order at the counter or have someone take your order. What Ray's is, is clean. It menu has American b

Where to begin… the waitress was absolutely lovely and welcoming, a gem. BUT… $9 for half a pint of beer. Crackers were stale. Charcuterie tasted packaged. Drinks were inconsistent. The bar was so slow (on a slow night). Hope you guys can improve from the feedback.

I went here about a month ago and had caldo de bagre and shrimp ceviche (part of a platter) which were tasty. I went here today again but I was very disappointed. The ceviche de pescado was warm, and not ceviche at all. It was not sour at all - it seems they didn’t actually have ceviche made and made it a ceviche soup instead in order to quickly cook the fish…it was really disappointing. We were very surprised and honestly a bit offended we were served this “ceviche”. The food took a long while

Such a local gem. A must visit in Washington heights. Came here with my partner and his mom and it’s the perfect place for dates, or small groups. We love the attention to detail with every dish. Chef Abraham is so humble and definitely knows his cuisine. Every dish delivered- the mushroom tapas with the crab was one of my favorites alongside the seafood paella marinera. The red sangria is also a must and not so sweet. We also got 3 desserts, and the churros con chocolate was chef’s kiss. Will

A great addition to Nostrand! Have been a few times and the staff were super friendly each visit. Food certainly didn’t disappoint either. So far the favorite is the chicken milanesa torta but they have a big menu with lots of options. It’s not fancy but hits the spot and is clean and quality.

HORRIBLE AND EXTRA SMALL PORTIONS FOR THE ABOVE $12 Mark for a lunch special. ❌❌Be careful with buying here❌❌ They serve 3 little pieces of beef stew and half the plate is empty and they had the nerve to charge me $12. I literally should recommend u demand the proper portioning or they will serve u like u are 9 years old but charge u like they gave u a entree from the menu.

The baked chicken was bland no flavor and totally dry. I had to ask for garlic mojo and that was super salty and vinegary. The yellow rice was hard and not fresh at all it def sat all day it was 3pm. Beans were whatever. Service is not good at all. For the location the food should be better they have lots of traffic to be this flavorless and dry.

Charlie, the new manager, and Victor, were so great! Charlie especially was super outgoing, helpful and made me feel like family. The Maiz Project is lucky to have him! I wasn't sure what I wanted so I got grilled chicken and added mushrooms, sweet plantains, mozzarella and cilantro mayo. It was BURSTING W/ FLAVOR, so fresh and not too salty (I usually find things too salty). I can't wait to come back and try the pork belly and the steak.

This is the 3rd spot I have witnessed to exist at this locale and it's definitely my favorite of the 3. Notably, the ambience is what struck me most. I came in here hungry and just wanted to get some stew chicken, but the experience was terrible. First, the cashier was completely distracted by a guy kissing her hand. When I finally got her attention to ask about the prices, she told me it was $20 for just the chicken, or if I got it with rice and beans, it came with only two pieces. I needed at least three pieces, but as I asked about the different options, the pricing was incredibly confusing. She seemed frustrated by my questions and calle

Great place. Conveniently located, clean floors, clean buffet glass and tops. There are no seats but that's probably because of the virus stuff prior. Nevertheless the food is superb. I've had Dominican food in Washington heights, Roosevelt avenue in Corona, Queens and off the Grand Concourse in Fordham and this place is as good as any of them. I ordered a fried fish and steamed vegetables. The fish was moist inside and slightly crispy on the outside. I generally don't eat fried food but fish w

The encebollado triple, with fish, shrimp, and pickled fish, was excellent, and a very generous portion. Three of us split that plus the breaded shrimp, which was perfectly fried and came with rice, salad, and tostones. The hot sauce is a must too! The staff was very friendly. Very beautiful experience I love eating there the workers are very sweet and they serve the food very fast . The Waiter Joel is very kind and likes to help and serves a good service to us . But everyone does excellent their job . Very recommended to go and eat there.

Staff hygiene fell short: soiled clothing, no hair covering, or unkempt nails.

Drinks were too sweet, more ice and sugar than alcohol. They claimed that's how the drinks are but thats not true. Food was salty and my flauta's steak was burnt and hard and the cheese was too fried and salty. Payed $250 for 4 dishes in which one was a torta (A DAM SANDWHICH) for 250!?? and 5 drinks. Rip off!! Better food in sunset, we could of have 3 pitchers of margaritas and delicious food at matamoros.

My husband and I went on 01/01/2025 for empanadas or pastelitos. We ordered 7 empanadas in total they were empty as you see in the pictures. The meat portions inside the pastelitos were not even a tablespoon. This is a complete joke we were basically just eating the fried though of the empanada. After seeing this I called the store to let them know the issues that I had. They were hesitant to check, I explained to them that they lost a potential client because of these issues and because of the

The staff are very nice. I don’t know if they are authentic Cuban food but it’s tasty for me. I got today’s lunch special: pork with 2 sides ($11.50). You can’t beat that price in city. Definitely will not be returning. Very unprofessional staff. Very discriminatory towards people. Watched the security asked certain people for ID and take a picture but not others. Ordered a side of fries and it never came because the bartender forgot to put the order in. There were literally 2 people inside the establishment when I came in. I literally came to play pool and everything went left, down to the bartender not making my drink correctly after repeating it twice to her...

Tasty Honduran food in New York City! Los Catrachos is located on Crescent Avenue in the Bronx, just around the corner from Arthur Avenue, that serves Honduran food. One notable dish they offer are baleadas. Baleadas are a traditional and popular food of Honduras. Baleadas are soft, thick flour tortillas filled with mashed beans and a variety of toppings. You can add eggs, avocado, beef, chicken, pork, shredded cheese, and cream. All for an economical price. Other than baleadas, Los Catrachos

I have to say this restaurant is perfect. The food is amazing! Not only is it delicious but also each plate brings a large amount of food. The service is great! The waitress was attentive and nice. I ordered a Bandeja paisa which is so good it doesn't envy anything in a Colombian restaurant. The plate was huge! Definitely worth every penny. My mom ordered pupusas with rice, beans and plantains. We ordered the 1/4 chicken with fried rice. One order with beans and the other with salad. Beautiful presentation and the food was hot, fresh and VERY good. Took off one star for service because we ordered tostones and didn’t receive them. It wasn’t busy enough for that small oversight to be made.
