I’ve been coming to this cafe for years, it’s truly a gem! It’s a great spot to sit and get work done, or take a short break in their peaceful backyard. What a find. This fairly small casual restaurant has Indian street foods, dessert treats and delicious drinks. We had Chop (a croquette of spiced potatoes) and Phuchka (small deep fried shells filled with chickpeas, potatoes & onions) and a salad. All were outstanding. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The next morning we had to come back to try their lattes and got a rose pistachio pastry to go. Definitely will return.

Brown & Butter Creamery has some of the best gelato I’ve had in the area. One piece of constructive feedback relates to the owner’s interactions with customers. Over several visits, I noticed instances where customers of color greeted her and received little or no response, while white customers were met with noticeably warmer and more engaged conversation shortly afterward. I didn’t think much of it at first, but after hearing others share similar observations, it became difficult to ignore.

Literally, everytime I’ve gotten a smoothie, juice, sandwhich, patty, whatever, it’s been SO GOOD! I’m always impressed and can tell they take their time making their food and drinks and with very clean, tasty ingredients. Would definitely recommend dropping by when you’re in the neighborhood!

I just order a large order of more than $50! I paid $10 for shrimp lobster sauce and small rice. Come to find out, they are extremely cheap and sent me a tiny bit of white rice. For reference it is smaller than my small Vaseline and smaller than my hand. I called and told them I did not receive my regular small rice and was sent a tiny portion instead. Excellent value for what you’re paying for, and the food was prepared super fast. Even ”small” portions represent 2 meals for a person with typical appetite. Everything was so delicious! Oxtail Jerk Mac pockets are my favorite & were literally packed with so much flavor! That seafood mac and cheese had the perfect amount of lobster and shrimp with the perfect cheese pull, noodles was actually seasoned and for a small it can easily serve 2 people! I’ve loved this coffee shop for years. Today, while I was getting my coffee, a woman walked in with a dog and I was honestly a bit over it. A few seconds later, she left and that’s when I noticed the “No Pets Allowed” sign. It’s not that I hate dogs at all; it’s the lack of consideration from some owners who don’t think about people with allergies or fears. Seeing that sign made me appreciate this place even more. Great coffee and respect for everyone always a win.

The drinks were strong, the vibes were interesting. If you’re easily overstimulated, this is not the place for you. Was there when the outdoor area wasn’t open, and inside was loud and dark and strange. It’s not meant to be a typical bar, they had vintage videos playing in the back room which were definitely R rated. I recommend this place if you’re wanting a unique night out that you won’t forget, with good drinks, and maybe some funny stories about the weird bar you went to in Brooklyn!

Happy hour started to get lively in there around 6pm on a Friday night. I tried one of the draft beers (hazy IPA) which was delicious. Then opted for a beer shot combo. The wife had a couple of Pinots - everything good here, nice little local bar!

I love the jerk chicken meal with rice and peas, I usually get the small which is only $12 and it’s packed to the brim! This is my go to Jamaican spot in my area, plus good prices for the amount of food you get! Also love the Rasta pasta and the tropical rhythms sorrel drink. I usually order the last hour they’re open and they always still have the items I order. I will say sometimes the food tastes different depending on the day. Friendly and quick service too!

For an order specifically called vegetable fried rice, there are almost no actual vegetables in it. It’s mostly just a massive box of yellow rice mixed with a few translucent onions and sparse pieces of cabbage. It feels incredibly cheap.

Stopped by this Mexican spot and everything was solid. I had the chorizo tacos and tortilla soup — both were tasty, but the soup was a must! Definitely give it a try :)

10/10! Super friendly staff and everything was delicious. I went in anticipating oxtails but they were out, so I opted for jerk chicken, Mac and cheese and rice and peas. Literally the most flavorful rice and peas I’ve ever had! Mac was tasty and well seasoned and the jerk chicken was the perfect blend of tang and spice. I looked forward to having leftovers but ate the entire plate in one sitting. Will definitely be back :))

I love Dunkin’, but they really need to do something about this branch. It has the slowest service ever. Even though there are enough workers, sometimes only one employee stays at the cashier. Both the customers and workers move like snails, as if everything is happening in slow motion. They take forever. I’ve been there six times, and only once was I able to place my order without getting frustrated watching the slow interaction between the cashier and customers.

I'm a coffee snob and the coffee here was absolutely incredible. We ended up stopping every morning when we walked to the subway during our New York City trip. I also loved that they had a list of resources posted on the front desk for people who needed that connection.
