I had the iced black sesame latte a rich profile with notes of dark cocoa and roasted walnuts. Such a smooth, well-balanced blend and definitely worth the try. Freshly crafted at Kaigo Coffee Room in Brooklyn, a low-key spot known for its precision and unique specialty drinks.

Love this spot! Selfishly happy they’re in Brooklyn heights now since it’s closer to me :’) love the loaded breakfast sandwich and their coffee is really good too! There isn’t a ton of seating but the vibe is really cute/cozy

This place is so lovely! 🥰 Cozy neighborhood vibes, good coffee, yummy pastries…and I particularly love that it has good solo seatings, small nooks for chatting, and a large table in the back for laptops. Perfect for a slow morning or a quiet afternoon for me!👌🏼

While visiting from Boston, I stumbled upon Ferrane in Brooklyn Heights, a sunlit, modern Swedish bakery with a clean aesthetic and a warm, welcoming feel. Just a minute from the subway, it’s easy to find and absolutely worth a visit. Ferrane serves excellent coffee paired with delicious European treats, both sweet and savory. The bakery folk are friendly and helpful, and I really enjoyed chatting with them. Five stars to the baristas, for both the brew and the conversation. The Princess cake

Family-run Japanese eatery offering specialty rolls & more in a cozy space with traditional decor.
It is hard to find good good sushi sometimes in NYC and especially in Brooklyn Heights. I came in hopeful, but not expecting too much. The sushi exceeded my expectations with the freshness and quality of the fish. The only thing that was a little disappointing was the miso soup, which was a bit lacking in miso flavor. I will definitely come back for the omakase.

I popped in to grab a quick lunch sandwich here. It’s very unassuming on the inside, but the really nice man behind the counter made me a DELICIOUS vegetarian cheese sandwich that is exactly how my mom used to make for me. The ingredients and bread were super fresh. I was expecting bodega quality and my expectations were blown away by this little sandwich. This is a cute local gem for sure!

Adventuring around Brooklyn Heights area and popped in here for some gelato and espresso….both very tasty. But what wasn’t tasty was the welcome or any level of hospitable behavior from the staff….the vibe was they’d prefer we weren’t there. Seemed to bother them when we were looking for their gelato selection (which was off the side on the way to the bathroom) …but even when we left and thanked them, they literally looked at us like we were crazy….dang. Makes me think of the joke about why the

Came by for lunch after jury duty. Ordered the chicken sandwich, a lemon bar, and a butter pecan latte. Also purchased a rotisserie chicken to-go for dinner later. The chicken sandwich was simple and delicious. Moist chicken, tasty fennel slaw, bread that soaked up all the juices well but did not fall apart. Pretty perfect! Lemon bar was divine. If you like lemony desserts you'll absolutely love it! The latte was just right and went well with the lemon bar. My husband and I demolished the c

Cool infographics on coffee in the cafe. Near a bunch of federal buildings and courthouses so a lot of morning rush hour folks. Fast service. Coffee tastes *chefs kiss*. They also sell beans from all over. Going back again today!

The best Wiener Schnitzel in New York! Delightful menu with Swiss and Austrian specialities with a modern twist. Tip top ingredients, prepared with love and skill. Lovely cosy Alpine atmosphere and genuinely attentive staff. I would 100% recommend a visit. I know I’ll be back to work my way through the menu. Excellent wine list too.

Great ice cream, cute spot, rude attitude. The employee seemed annoyed the entire time, and asking a simple question felt like I was bothering her. I honestly thought they were about to close, but it was only around 6:15pm and they don’t close until midnight. The ice cream was delicious and the shop is beautiful, but the vibe definitely took away from the experience.

Went here during the June 2025 heatwave. Though their air conditioning was not doing it’s best or pumping it’s hardest, The food was delicious ! I had shrimp & beef with lomein & veggies, my family also tried the fried chicken dumplings, and the California roll. Everyone liked everything. The only disappointment was when I had to repeat things like “hello/hi” or “thank you” just to get some human acknowledgment/interaction from the cashier. But don’t forget this is NYC lol. I always appreciate

A wonderful addition to the Brooklyn heights neighborhood! Growing up in NY you can’t help but be a pizza snob, but they definitely passed the test… a no flop crust with delicious flavors. Look forward to coming back!

Amazing food. Ordered the lamb kofta on a pan and side of falafel. The portion size was just right and the taste was amazing. Charging extra for a tiny cup of hummus could been avoided. I would not call the stools to sit on very comfortable. Overall, excellent!

Had a wonderful experience at Caffe Buon Gusto! The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The pasta was especially enjoyable, and you can tell they put care into every dish. The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxing meal with family and friends. On top of that, the service was outstanding. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Overall, great food, great atmosphere, and excellent

Honestly, this is one of the best omakase experiences I’ve had, not just in Brooklyn. Everything was super fresh and well done, but the Hokkaido Kegani and Hokkaido Uni really stood out sweet, rich, and melt in your mouth good. Every course felt thoughtful without being over the top. The vibe is intimate and comfortable, not stuffy at all, which makes it a great spot for a birthday or anniversary dinner. Perfect place to sit back, enjoy great sushi, and have a memorable night. Highly recommend

I ordered an iced latte made with oat milk, and it was absolutely delicious! I also love that the simple syrup is homemade; it adds a unique touch of sweetness that enhances the overall flavor. This drink is definitely one of my new favorites!

Thought I’d try something new today so I stopped into The Black Bull. It looked like a nice bar. At 1:15pm (15 minutes after the bar opened) I left because of the horrible crowd. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 20 years, I’ve seen good bars come and go. This place is a fad right now that won’t last. I won’t be back.

Got to give this place a review because they saved me! I needed a white button down shirt for my sister’s wedding in a fast act!! And i called them in a panic and they had it ready for me and even steamed it for me. Goose Barnacle you were the talk of the town that night haha. Everyone told me i made up that name but no they just couldn’t believe me haha. All worked and nobody noticed. Thank you Goose Barnacle for your fantastic service and quick thinking. Fantastic work!

We visited The Brooklyn Strategist on our first night in New York while exploring with my son, who loves card games, D&D, and all things tabletop. It was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Jack, Will, and Francesca were outstanding. They took the time to walk my son through different games, dice, and the worlds of Dungeons & Dragons and Warhammer with genuine enthusiasm and care. They made him feel completely welcome and part of the community. The space itself is fantastic, with a dedicat

I gained 60 lbs during my recent pregnancy, and I didn’t know where to even start afterwards. My friend convinced me to try Barry’s with her, which was so intimidating at first—I thought it was basically only for intense, ripped people. But there are all different levels of participant in there, and it’s a welcoming, supportive environment. Now I go at least 1x per week, and it’s become a bright point on my calendar. Super tough, but the music is amazing, the instructors are awesome, and you fee

Read great reviews online and this place did not disappoint! The food was delicious: the dumbo dumplings, lobster pad Thai and calamari were all amazing and the drinks (Thai iced tea and pea blossom lemonade) were tasty, too. The best part was the service. Kay was fun, honest with her recommendations and very attentive. Our daughter, after a few bites remarked, “I want to move here just for the food!” Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Brooklyn — but maybe for patio seating. Elephant

Curries, biryanis, tandooris & other Indian standards served in a brightly colored space.
This is my favorite place to eat Indian food. I go every weekend and the food is fresh and the service is great. The prices are also great. Today the waiter told me to order the lamb chops next which I will. I unfortunately forgot his name but he seems to be there every Saturday for lunch hours and he provides great service.

Kid-friendly spot providing hands-on kitty play time & cat adoptions, plus coffee, tea & snacks.
I had such an enjoyable time at the Brooklyn Cat Cafe! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to explain all about the cats and their different “spice levels,” which made it easy for us to know how to approach and interact with each one. Their guidance really helped us feel comfortable navigating around the space and getting to know the cats. Every cat we met was absolutely lovely and full of personality, making the whole experience relaxing and heartwarming. It’s also a

Had an amazing experience at Meatup in Dumbo. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — exactly what I was craving. I ordered the chicken bowl and it was packed with so many delicious components: crisp lettuce, pickled onions and cabbage, sumac onions, feta cheese, shredded carrots, creamy labne, smoky babaganoush, and rich hummus. Everything worked so well together without feeling heavy, and the chicken was cooked just right. The flavors were vibrant but still comforting, and th

Bowls of ramen & Japanese sides, plus sake, served in a warm, snug space with wood walls.
A small joint and we took some time to find it. Ramen was good, not the best, but still good. We tried the Plum wine (10% alc) and it was gooood. Takoyaki was nice. We also tried the Crab bun. It had a soft shell which was crunchy but the shell does not have much taste. It was my first time having the soft shell crab bao. Service was fast and smooth.

What a great restaurant we really enjoyed dinner here. The service and food were amazing. They don’t take reservations and are cash only which is kind of a pain especially at this price point. There’s an ATM 1/2 a block away which you can get charged $3 to do a withdrawal.
