Their pastrami is still one of the best, almost on par with Katz. But the ambiance is way superior to Katz so the dining experience is better. The sandwiches we ordered were: pastrami, corned beef and lox. For the lox we were given tofu based cream cheese (Jewish dietary law forbids mixing meat and dairy for a meal) which was just as good as regular cream cheese. Next time the tongue sandwich.

Joined for a work outing and had a great experience! The food was amazing from the appetizers to the entrees and desserts. The service was excellent as well. Definitely a place worth visiting — don’t think twice, run here!

It’s my personal favorite pizza. Best at the store. My friend loves the falafel balls but I just like the pizza. It’s real NY Pizza. Thin crust with little give. Great taste and a great crunch. Amnon has been around forever, he is said to own a bunch of the real estate around the store but he’s still there every single day, sweeping the floor and cleaning the tables and talking to customers. He’s a legend. His sons run the store now. Just good people creating good food in a friendly environment.

We weee a party of 6 and ordered roasted cauliflower, tuna tartare l, polenta fries, roasted eggplant and beef dumplings for starters. We stopped here after visiting the Met. We were lucky to get seated quickly as there was a line after us. It is a small seating area, so the table are close to each other. I ordered the roast beef sandwich and shared the garlic fries with my family. The garlic fries had a lot of garlic on it. It was seasoned well and mostly crispy. My son enjoyed it. When in New York City, you have to try this place. I discovered it four or five years ago and literally schedule my itinerary around getting to eat at their various locations. These are the best Gluten-free bagels I’ve ever had. I bring friends here who don’t have to eat gluten-free and they are shocked by how good the food is. I hope someday they become a nationwide franchise spread from coast to coast. Their food is incredible.

The flavors here are delicious! The burgers were very good and the fries were excellent. The knockwurst was just a hot dog I was thinking it might be something more creative and for the price. Speaking of the price, the price is very high and not a place that can become a regular lunch spot. The portion sizes are also small, the smash burger is more of a smash slider size, not a full burger size. That said the flavors were great!

My husband and I just left and everything was phenomenal! Definitely try the matzo soup, sesame chicken and hot pastrami. They were delicious and not too salty. The pickles were so fresh too! I have visited this place multiple times. They have a very efficient software that everything goes really fast even though there's a big line and a lot of ppl time you don't have to wait too long for your food. This is a classic a great pizza shop with some nice options for other dishes. The fish is fresh the falafel is great and the salads are well prepared. Service is fantastic. Great guys behind the counter and they are constantly trying to keep the place clean. I’ve taken many lunch guests there. I like the new place next door, I think the same ownership looking to cater to more of a table service type crowd.

Was visiting for the weekend and a friend brought me to the Amsterdam location - we had been trying to figure out what to eat for dinner since about 10am and I’m so glad we came here! The place is iconic. That was THE best pastrami sandwich I have ever had, and i've tried many in multiple states, cities and neighborhoods lol. The side of cole slaw is exactly how I like it, not too wet and with a nice crunch. Make sure to get the pastrami sandwich grilled with the onions.
