Found this spot after our original reservation fell through and it ended up being the best decision. The wings were made to order and full of flavor. We tried them dry with tamarind sauce on the side and tossed in the sauce, both were so good. I had the fried snapper with salad and white rice. Crispy, fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Absolutely loved this place! The food was amazing across the board. The Korean fried chicken was perfectly crispy with a flavorful sauce, and the tofu stew was rich, spicy, and super comforting. The stone pot bibimbap had that perfect crispy rice at the bottom, and the seafood pancake was packed with ingredients and nicely crispy on the outside. Casual, diner-like feel. Attentive and quick service. In short - good bar food , great cocktails. The deviled eggs have pronounced acidity, which is great given how rich they are. The curds were light, gooey, but a bit salty. The trout dip was great. The cheeseburger was outstanding, cheesy, juicy, and the pickle added good crunch and contrast. Came here for Mother’s Day; we had a booking but probably wouldn’t have had an issue to get a table. The house grill was enough for 3 of us; downside is it doesn’t come with sides… those are separate. The mashed potatoes were good. The wine is expensive, $65 for a Malbec. The waitress was very nice and she was very thoughtful to put our 2 person order ahead of a table of 8 that got in around the same time. The chicken drumstick, lentils and collard greens were delicious. Loved every bite. On the other hand, the other chicken dishes (the one in grilled pieces) fell a little flat or one note (too spicy). Overall I’d go back and stick to the vegetarian plates.

Super unpretentious place. Good menu options. Service was no-BS but perfect for the spot. Price to portion ratio is very good. Our burritos took a little while, but it was a busy weekend and you could visually see the cooks making meat fresh (how it should be). Dropped in at 9am on a Friday morning and enjoyed the most delicious Americano, avocado toast, granola bowl and blueberry scone. Ever single item was fresh and flavorful. It was easy to find seating inside and the atmosphere was relaxing and full of natural light. What a treat! Would highly recommend!

Love this café — it’s super cozy and has a dark academia-type vibe. I love their coffee so much that I even buy their beans to make at home. Their seasonal flavors are great too, though sometimes the flavor is a little too light to really taste. The pastries are always fresh and delicious. My wife in I were wandering and found this place, prices looked reasonable so we went in. Was very good she had stroganoff and I did meatballs and dumplings. Ordered caramel macchiato which should already have a decent amount of caramel. It didn’t. Then kind of annoying when you pay extra for the lined cup of caramel sauce and it’s barely in the drink. I ended up using some of my own caramel at home and filling it up. Upsetting since I paid extra for it.

Were you lured here by the social media post about the best rainbow cookies in Brooklyn? Because I was, and this is my favorite so far (big rainbow cookie girl). The cookies were moist and jammy with the bold marzipan flavor that is so often lacking in rainbow cookies. I’m so excited to come back and try their other goods. I’m serious: I spent an entire afternoon going to multiple bakeries in the area and this was my absolute favorite.

We visited this taqueria mainly because we wanted to try the pollo verde tamales, but unfortunately they were sold out when we got there. That was a little disappointing since it was the main reason for our visit. Even so, the tamales we did try were good, and the staff was very nice and helpful throughout our visit. I make my lattes at home so I am considerate of where I purchase lattes while traveling. I saw Blank Street and worried it would taste like normal chain coffee. I didn’t know what to get so I asked the barista and she recommended the cookie butter latte. It did not taste like artificial syrups and was pretty good. I’m glad I stopped here. Come in and see. This beautiful brewery has top notch beer as well as other great cocktails. They accommodate everyone and the atmosphere is very inviting. The staff is awesome and they carry grace. Apparently online I was looking at a menu from 7 years ago so Layla Jones wasn’t as cheap as I thought it would be. They also had some lunch specials on a board with the price erased so the transparency is not incredible here. Even so $13.50 for a generous sized meatball sandwich, salad, and drink is a pretty good value. The sandwich was tasty, arguably even better reheated in the air fryer.

I ordered the beans and beef stew. The beans actually had a very good flavor, but they were mostly liquid, so it felt more like soup than a side of beans. The beef stew also had decent flavor, but the meat was a little dry and tough, not as tender as I expected for stew. Overall, the taste was not bad, but the texture and portion balance could be better. I might give it another try, but I hope the beans come with more actual beans and the beef is cooked more tender next time
