The presentation is amazing, but as far as the taste goes 1 star. I order General Tso Chicken with White Rice. The chicken was crispy and dry just covered in a lot of sauce with raw broccoli steamed for a few seconds. The rice want fully cooked and when I called back they told me no refund and bring the food back for me order. Mind you I paid delivery plus a tip. I'll never order from here again.

Great service…. Great food, the Middle Eastern man that serves as a waiter here is very smart, intelligent and friendly…. He knows his job. The food is also excellent… this is where I always have lunch anytime I go clothes-shopping in the Fordham shopping district. Was the closest place serving hot food, so followed the ratings and ordered beef fried rice. Picked up the food at an unassuming take-out location (there is no eating area here), and the food did not disappoint. Bought dinner the next day, and again, the mei fun, garden vegetables, and chicken w/ broccoli were cooked fresh and weren't oily at all. Great flavor, great customer service. Highly recommend.

I loved their original sandwich for kfc from December that only cost me $3.99 plus tax form nyc which is $0.35 cents extra is $4.34. But when I came in to kfc today, it was $5.89 plus nyc tax which is $0.52 cents extra is now $6.41. I still enjoyed it but all the reviews are right what they said. The food here was great. The empanadas, the rice, the beans, and more were delicious. The woman behind the counter is extremely nice and caring. The restaurant is clean and convivial. Would recommend to all who enjoy the flavors of Dominican Food/Latin cuisine.

Delicious coffee, always clean. They have staff for every post. The staff use gloves when preparing meals. Not, like other DD stores that have one staff, that does all the work or other DD stores where staffs don’t use gloves. This place is the best DD store and they do well cut your cream cheese bagels, without telling them.

What a great little joint the food was amazing and the staff was so delightful. Not a big menu but everything on it explodes with flavor. Super clean and very inviting not much space for seating but they do deliver they an awesome selection of Latin fruit juices we ate here almost everyday for a week since we since we had been next door at Ortiz (but that's a whole different review). Three stars because it has been a reliable neighborhood staple and you know what to expect. Prices are fair and dishes are no frills classics.

Los Balbuena is one of those solid local gems. If you want real Dominican flavor, generous portions, and a friendly spot to eat, this is a great choice. Their red beans are to die for! One of the best I’ve tasted. I’ll absolutely be back, and next time I want to try their sancocho just to see if it’s as good as this. If you’re in the neighborhood and hungry, make this one your stop!

PSA: Check Your Happy Dragon Orders – Hidden Charges and Mispriced Items I’ve been a loyal customer of Happy Dragon for several years now, frequently placing orders over $30+. Recently, I decided to question an overcharge I noticed—because this has been happening to me every time I’ve placed an order by phone. My total from the Happy Dragon Restaurant pamphlet came out to be $34.25, but I was charged $35.25. When I asked about the extra $1, I was told by the rude lady it was a “delivery fee.”
