No-frills food, but El Nuevo Amanecer delivers. The portions were large, the food is hearty and the beers were super cold. It was a low key place to catch World Cup games too. Great value and definitely worth a visit.

This is an excellent bar. Good choice of beer, friendly, safe, and clean bathrooms. More of beer and wine. Limited sport. I loved this place. Happy to see two people inside drinking beer and reading books. Prices are good. Chloe is a friendly and fabulous bartender.

Relaxed bar with cozy booths & mod decor popular for its generous happy hour.
As soon as we got in we started ordering ant the bar and my friend went to get seats in the back. The bartender immediately tells us she can’t go to the bathroom unless she buys her own drink. I was literally in the process of ordering and my group was doing the very standard thing of one person orders at the bar -> other person in the group sits down to find seats -> person who orders brings the drinks back. I understand there’s a policy (which we were not violating, by the way) but the accusat

Cozy deli turning out falafels, gyros & other Middle Eastern bites, plus fruit smoothies & juices.
((4.5 stars)) NYC Falafel is an inconspicuous tiny eatery parked on Allen Street on the Lower East Side. there are a few tables, if you decide to dine here....not much room beyond that except for the large refrigerator full of soft drinks. it’s basically a takeout spot with a menu made up of different pita sandwiches, burgers, platters of meat over rice, and side items like fries, nuggets, wings, etc. to me, the real star is the falafel pita sandwich (but it's the only sandwich i’ve had here s

The lap cheong mala wrap alone is enough reason for me to come back. Bolo bao sandwiches seriously need to catch on in NYC, since they’re quite common in Hong Kong. This was my first time seeing one with roasted duck though. Just a heads up that the street felt a bit sketchy even though it’s near the edge of Chinatown. We were unfortunately harassed by someone outside of the store and ended up giving him a few dollar bills… *Chinese Sausage Mala Wrap $10 ** The lap cheong was spread so evenly

Went out to get pizza and was NOT expecting this! All Caribbean inspired slices that blew my mind. Everything is delicious, from the shrimp Alfredo to the chopped cheese slice to multiple styles of oxtail. You'll devour the entire slice down to the crust, which is soft but tender and crispy, not bone dry like some other spots. Prices might look big but these are big, hearty slices with high quality toppings, one slice is like 2x the volume and more than 2x the flavor of a regular pizza spot. Com

I had a wonderful experience at Shake Shack Lower East Side. The service was great, but what really stood out was the kindness of a young waitress who was very thoughtful toward my daughter. She gave my daughter coloring paper and a pencil to keep her entertained, and even surprised her with a free ice cream. That small act of kindness made our visit feel extra special. It’s not just about the food, but the way customers are treated, and she truly made us feel welcomed. Thank you for such a swee

This establishment is small and cozy I ordered the soy garlic chicken after eating 4 pieces of chicken the sauce was too sweet. I liked the crispiness of the chicken but felt like without the sauce the chopped itself didn’t have much flavor. The person taking our order as well was too focused on their phone to properly acknowledge customers.

Kaki Sushi was phenomenal. The staff was excellent—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely knowledgeable about the menu and sake offerings. They struck that perfect balance of being attentive without being intrusive. The sushi was outstanding: incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and inventive without feeling forced or gimmicky. Having eaten sushi all over the world, I don't say this lightly—Kaki ranks among the most memorable experiences I've had. The absolute highlight was the deep-fried eggshel

One of my new favorite gems in the city for Korean food. Let me just start by saying the staff is very friendly and helpful in introducing all the different menu items. Also, the place was very clean and tidy. The ambience is very chill and quiet for a very small place and lastly the best part the food was exquisite. I’ve had other K-food but this one dish so much to offer! I got six different types of foods to try in just one bowl. The dish was real savory & has now officially been added to my

It’s cash only!!! I went there hoping for a good cup of espresso because of the café’s name, but unfortunately, I was disappointed. I assumed they would serve espresso-based coffee, but their coffee is made using a standard coffee maker, and it was not good. I ordered a toasted pan de manteca with butter, that tasted like bacon 🤔

Thinking back still makes me laugh a little. There were 4 of us, and the other 3 all ordered rice bowls. After the first bite, they each had this kind of indescribable look that said a lot without words. I ordered teppanyaki, which came out much later after everyone had finished their bowls. The server brought me a free bowl of miso soup to make up for it. The food itself was fine, nothing special. Such a delicious cake. We got the classic trisome as a birthday cake and could not have loved it more. The cake is like the perfect ice cream cake texture. Velvety from the white cashew cream layer, tart from the berries, and sweet from the dates. The handwriting on the cake was the cherry on top as it was so pretty! I’ve been to the shop before to try one of the mini cakes and have always had a great experience. Lovely shop and team I can’t wait to keep supporting.

I stumbled into Pinky Swear and it kicked off an adventurous and fun evening! This is a high concept bar with art pieces in the back, a phone booth with horoscope readings and a fire pit for your D&M’s. Creative cocktails, craft beer & American small plates served in an old-school space with a garden.
The bar’s candlelit décor gave it a pleasant ambiance, and the lemon drop was enjoyable. However, I had issues with the service. I asked the bartender to split the bill, but he combined it. I am SO shocked at just how incredible my meal at Fossetta was! This spot is tiny and unassuming but had some of the best food and drinks I’ve had. The Ida’s Cure cocktail is basically a strawberry lemon drop martini and is a must-order. Very solid döner kebab sandwich. Definitely the closest to the real thing I’ve had so far in NYC. Tried both beef and chicken; I preferred the later as it’s more similar to the spices of the original lamb döner. What makes it is the bread. Super crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. Portions are also large.

Mila’s Bistro has mastered the art of the pleasant shrug. The lamb burger was good, the margarita was good, the service was good, a word that kept showing up like a polite houseguest who never quite makes themselves at home. Nothing went wrong, nothing particularly outstanding, and I left feeling approximately the same as when I arrived, which is perhaps the most honest thing a restaurant can do to you.
