I'm making this post as someone experienced with these bars — I’ve been hanging out at them for years. Things have changed, and in many cases, have gotten out of hand. For you newcomers, I feel like I have to be my brother’s keeper and help you avoid the scams. All these bailarina bars should have a clear sign on the wall outlining the prices: A da

I have been here many times over many years since I was a teen for the delicious pho, Vietnamese coffee, seafood rice dishes and most especially…. The Vietnamese spring rolls. Guys please understand and listen to me when I tell you that these are the best Vietnamese spring rolls I have ever had. I think about them all the time. These are not from a box from Costco. These are fresh, handmade delicious crispy juicy Vietnamese spring rolls. I have tried having at other places and the flavor doesn’

We popped in for some food, and this was one of the worst experiences we’ve had food wise. They were out of a lot of things when we came in which was kind of ridiculous (like rice…who runs out of rice lol) but we still rolled with it. One in our party asked for extra shrimp and we got charged for double the entree. The shrimp was even overcooked. The steak that I got was swimming in juices; it was basically in its own soup. Someone else in our party got a fried chicken that had…no chicken. Crazy

The place is small and cozy. There was only one person working and they were really polite. Me and my friends ordered the Budae Jjiae, Korean Spicy Pork Belly Bibimbap, Taiwanese Popcorn Chicken, and Chicken Cutlet Rice Bowl. Portions were huge and we had to pack it up and take it home lol. My favorite was definitely the bibimbap Edit: The menu changed and what I ordered is no longer on there. I think the owner changed too—it was an elderly man working alone before and now he isn’t there

Obentoyasan is one of the various food stalls in the food hall of Japan Village. They serve large handmade onigiri, ready-to-eat bento boxes, and sushi. Not only that, but they also offer miso soup and sake cups. Since the ready-to-eat bento boxes are kept refrigerated, they are chilled/cold upon purchase. The bento boxes can be saved and taken home, or eaten in the food hall. If you plan on eating them in the food hall, you may use the microwave to heat them up. The staff members were kind eno

It's quite a busy place, but they serve great dumplings and noodles! The food was delicious, but service unfortunately fell short. It felt quite busy when I went, and unfortunately, the service reflected that. If they can improve the attentiveness of the staff, it would greatly enhance the dining experience.

Great pastries with a beautiful storefront! 4.7/5 American Biscuit ($3.75): Incredible lamination on the bun, loved the tangy sauce, lettuce/cucumbers/tomato + chicken made it almost like a lunch sandwich! Would absolutely order again! 4/5 Taro Mochi Croissant ($3.5): a bit breadier for a croissant, enjoyed the glaze and almonds on top. Generous mochi filling and the taro paste was delicious.

Ordered some delivery from them and I was happy with it. It satisfied the craving for something spicy. 👍 The spicy pot that I got came with beef slices, lamb slices, cabbage and potato. I added glass noodles, pig blood, and enoki mushrooms to it (each with an additional cost). I like that you can choose the spice level to it as well as the type of spicy. They have numbing Mala spice versus regular spicy 🌶. They also have many other kinds of soups and pots to choose from like a golden pickled p

Very disappointed! Just spent over $50 with them ( always brought form them at least 3-4 times a month ) I was just asking for an empty cup for my one year old who wanted water. And They rejected the simple ask. For this type of service, I will never come back to them again. A 200$ loss in business for them over a cup, is it worth it ?

If you want Kyuramen please go to the other locations. My friends and I came to this location very recently. My friend was disappointed because the inner dining area was not what we saw in the pictures. We ordered from the Kyuramen menu, and each got a different ramen bowl. Also got popcorn chicken and Thai iced tea. I will talk about mine. I got the chicken ramen. The broth was bad, it tasted fishy, and the ingredients in it tasted old. Nothing like the other location I was in, I had higher exp

Golden Steamer is a grab-and-go bakery that offers items like fresh buns, hot rice dishes, and frozen goods. They have locations in both Sunset Park and Chinatown. I love their steamed rice dishes for only $3.50 each! They have a variety of options - we got the steamed spare ribs over rice, and their chicken with mushroom over rice, $7 total. The meats are tender, the trays are steaming hot, and the food ready to be eaten - just ask for one of the dishes behind the counter. Another highlight o

I come here a couple of times a month to treat myself but everytime I come the portion is smaller and smaller. The container used to have a hard time closing and now its less a than half the container for the same price. The outer cream used to be at least half an inch thick and now it’s literally see through. Idk if someone new is making the cakes but they’re not consistent. Also the last time I got the vanilla flavor there was an egg shell inside and the time before I’m assuming the cake eithe

I strongly resisted the urge to get a Costco hot dog and checked out this place instead. Their lunch special comes with choice of entree, rice, and beans. I got the small size with goat for $8.50 which was filling enough for me (large is $12). I ate at a table in Industry City where I was totally in the way of the guy trying to clean the floor.

Overall: Would recommend, would revisit. 9/10 1. Amazing chinese style chicken sandwich, you have to get the spicy chinese chicken sandwich for the full experience, other food is pretty average but I would give it a 5 star just for the chinese style chicken sandwich. 2. Nice hospitality for my visit, the staff was insanely patience and respectful treating me like her own kid, can’t ask for more. 3. Tight space considering that there’re only about 10 seats but you can do take out and for the food

This is my go to spot for Cocnut buns. It’s always made fresh and sold at a reasonable price. Their ice coffee is delicious and does not taste too sugary or milky. I recommend going when the store just opens as many of the baked good are warm and still have steam coming out of them!

I been wanting to try this boba place. And I came across while I’m in Japan village in Brooklyn! They have a cute design and I ordered their rose lychee water. It’s pretty and super fruity! I love their cream on top! Can’t wait to try their oat rice milk tea. I can’t drink any caffeine but they were nice to tell me I can remove it. Good service!

Typical and authentic Cantonese style cuisine in small and cramped setting. The food was good but not great. Felt like some dishes were missing the “wok hay” from the chef. Portion size was decent( see pictures). They gave a special dish for $1 of braised pork belly and picked cabbage- which we didn’t order or knew about. Out of all dishes, the BBQ meats platter was top pick. We didn’t order any live/fresh seafood, so maybe that’s what they’re known for. The waiter/waitress are the friendliest

I was kind of excited when I came across this birria tacos truck in the Sunset Park area one night. Before this, the only Birria tacos that I had was the mega popular Birria Landia in queens which is a bit of a trek for me living in Brooklyn. I know that Birria Landia opened up a satellite truck in Williamsburg, Brooklyn but that is still further than a short hop away when I have the munchies for these type of tacos. Now, this truck is just a short drive away for me. I ordered 4 tacos and a sm

Had such a great experience at Bitter Monk! The vibe was intimate and beautifully dim-lit with lots of Instagram worthy photo ops. The spirit tasting was unique and thoughtfully curated , some of the best spirits blended with herbs from different cultures around the world. Our bartenders were incredibly kind and accommodating. Overall, an amazing experience with great energy. Highly recommend!

A very disappointing experience. I bought a sandwich today and was shocked to find several strands of hair inside. It was absolutely disgusting and completely ruined my trust in the store’s hygiene standards. I have no intention of returning after this. I truly hope the store takes this issue seriously and addresses the basic hygiene protocols. Food safety is not a minor issue — it’s unacceptable for something like this to happen.

It's a throw back to an older Chinese bakery. Which means excellent old fashioned baked goods and none of that trendy Italian/French influenced stuff. Which is good, but not when you just want a good old fashioned roast Pork bun. Still frequented by older locals. Which is nice. Service can be abrupt, but this is a place for locals, and for serious foodies.

This place is now my favorite $4 peanut butter rice noodle with pickled veggie spot. Look at the amount of sauerkraut!!! Some places do not get the sauce to noodle ratio right- this one does! Their chili oil is packed with flavor and has the Szechuan kick which most places do not.

My children were nagging to endeavor some Chinese food in this new restaurant. It was once a restaurant known for Fujounese fishballs and wontons that has since moved down the street. I was hesitant at first, yet my wife bought a stir fried rice noodle the other night convinced me to venture in for lunch with my kids. We ordered sweet and sour pork, green pepper steak, double cooked pork, stir fried Chinese broccoli, and of course, stir fried rice noodles. I told them everything should be mild b

Been coming to this place since I moved to the neighborhood… the baked goods are fantastic, and they recently expanded their storefront so they have a robust hot bar as well. I really like their stirfried noodles and stuffed eggplant! The coffee is also good, both hot and iced. Nothing gourmet, but everything I’ve tried is hearty, delicious, and inexpensive.

I have been here a few times recently. It's one of the first restaurants you come upon after leaving the train station. The hanging meat in the window is unavoidable. Despite roasted ducks and chicken being a main attraction, what made me want to come back was the cheung fun. The last time I was here, I was placing a to go order when I saw the woman making them. Old style NYC luncheonette with a surprising mix of Korean food, served along side deli sandwiches and burgers. Interested in seeing such an odd combination in the middle of Sunset Parks’s industrial zone, we had to order their best seller: Beef Bulgogi. We split a platter of bulgogi with fries (they sold out of rice-must be good) and it was delicious and made rather quickly. Good portion size for $11 plater. There are enough seats for maybe 10 people. This place was poppin! Lots of usual custom
