Upmarket fixture with bar seating preparing classic Indonesian & Asian dishes with a homey feel.
I vote this restaurant as Indonesian restaurant with the best service and atmosphere. Not only Awang that sometimes greet the customers, both waiters are very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant seems to always filled with Indonesian that make us feel like home. For the food, just like other restaurants, there are some that are very delicious and some that are ok. You got to know their specialty (based on Awang’s explanation, it is for Jakarta food). In my personal preference, I like thei

Unassuming storefront supplying Vietnamese standards such as pho, spiced-to-order sandwiches & more.
Christine wanted Vietnamese, so we found ourselves at V-Nam Cafe, a small spot that feels like it leans more toward takeout but does have a sit-down area if you want to eat in. We started with the calamari and then both went with the beef pho, which is exactly what you want on a day when you need something filling and warm. The portions were generous enough that neither of us could finish our bowls, which says something. Good food has a way of doing that. The service was genuinely warm. Our se

Drinks, darts, pool & plenty of sports on TV are the calling cards of this laid-back bar.
Stopped by this sports bar to watch an NBA playoff game. It was definitely a younger crowd, so we probably stood out a bit, but everyone was very polite and welcoming. Some people even took the initiative to strike up conversations with us, asking where we were from after realizing we were tourists. We genuinely enjoyed their company and the friendly atmosphere. The staff also took good care of us throughout the evening. Overall, it turned out to be a very enjoyable experience.

Louisiana-inspired fast-food chain known for its crispy fried chicken, chicken sandwiches & fries.
I ordered 5 classic chicken sandwiches, but they gave me 5 spicy chicken sandwiches instead, and for some reason one was marked fish . The chicken also feels old and cold, it only took me 10 minutes to walk home there is no reason why it is so cold in only 10 minutes, the chicken was also soggy, not crispy, and it was very oily as if it wasn’t freshly fried, I wanted to refund it but my family member already took a bite so I didn’t. which is probably why the meat was cold, soggy, and looked old,

Basically a sloppy double whopper with cole slaw and tomatoes, this place is serving up night time post party street food typical to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. Get your hangover breakfast here, like mofongo ie mashed plantain with steak or shrimp. Patacones are these cool sandwiches type thing that use two large pieces of fried green plantains instead of bread. The chimi I had was pretty darn good! Cooked fresh, Very sloppy and full of flavor.

So my wife and I took a chance at this spot last minute and had never heard of or had sauerkraut fish before—and praise the Lord that we did, because it was the most pleasant of surprises. The staff was warm and welcoming, and helped us order and decide on all the add ons for their signature dish. We got the regular, which had no chili pepper icon on the menu, which we found out doesn't mean that it's not going to be spicy. It was still spicy, so keep that in mind of you have low spice toleranc

Tiny, no-frills joint selling vegetarian Indian fast food, plus fresh fruit juices & shakes.
Original Indian food taste. Being Indian and dining in most Indian restaurants in nyc I assure you, this is how food taste in Indian homes (not the restaurant). High end restaurants alter the food taste to fit the customer’s taste which is way different than original taste. If you are craving for original Indian food taste this is the right place. Space is small and tables are less. Consider ordering online if it’s rush hours or expecting great hosting experience. Rate is very low and affordable

Basic space serving broad variety of fish (plus vegetarian options), with adjacent sake/oyster bar.
Disappointing sushi place. Went here for Valentine's Day, and got seated promptly. Ordered a sushi sashimi platter for 2; one of their pricier options. Waiter forgot my beer until after we finished our appetizer, which was a solid 20 minutes after order. The main platter took quite a while to come out; at least 30 minutes between when we finished the appetizer and the actual food, which was pretty ridiculous. The platter included a "chef chosen sushi roll". Very disappointingly, it was a Calif

Had such a lovely experience at Caffè Paradiso ☕️ We tried the special “Salted Brown Butter & Oat Latte” and the “Espresso con Panna” both were absolutely delicious and something a little different. We also had a small almond croissant which was really good too. Even though there was a small line, the wait was surprisingly quick. The service was very friendly and there’s a beautiful park right across the street, making it the perfect spot to enjoy your coffee. Prices are a little on the higher

Cozy, brick-walled bistro with classic French fare, including steak frites & mussels, plus brunch.
Okay so first thing first, I went in thinking this was going to be a cute romantic French bistro. It is NOT that. People were jumping on tables. The music was loud. It was basically a club that also serves really good food. Once I got over the shock of that I had an amazing time. The croque monsieur was so good. Comes out on a wooden board, cheese everywhere, topped with parsley. Just a really fun dish. Also got the hachis parmentier which is basically a French shepherd’s pie and it was super

I'm still seated at the bar as I write this review. While the food I've tried has been tasty, I am absolutely shocked by the price to portion ratio (and I say this as someone who dines out in NYC almost every night). The steak au poivre costs $56 and can be finished in 12 bites. I struggle to believe it was even 6 ounces of meat, easily the smallest New York strip I've ever seen, and comes atop a pool of the wateriest peppercorn sauce. You'd be better served spending the $135 for the 2-person, 3

Vibrant, compact restaurant with classic Japanese deep-fried & grilled dishes, plus noodles & bento.
Izakaya Fuku in New York was such a great experience from start to finish. The restaurant itself is stunning, with a beautiful Japanese-inspired interior that feels warm, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. The lighting, wood accents, and overall atmosphere make it feel both stylish and inviting. The food was just as impressive. The salmon onigiri was simple but really satisfying, with soft, well-seasoned rice and flavorful salmon. The seared salmon salad was fresh and delicious, and the salmon ha

Unfortunately, my experience at Tropical Jerk's was disappointing. While my mother was placing her order with the cashier, one of the chefs came out and began taking orders from customers who were behind her in line. As a result, several people who arrived after her received their food before she did. It felt unfair and disorganized, and there didn't seem to be any effort to serve customers in the order they arrived. The food may be good, but the customer service and order management need improv

I am one of the groom’s best friends since childhood, and we are like family, so I had to write this because the response from the owner of a place where people are served, and where people should matter the most, says everything about the lack of care, professionalism, and awareness. Your response says, “Apna kaam banta, bhaad mein jaaye janta” (Once your own work is done, to hell with the public/people) - Just wow how ignorant pride and it shows how little concern there was for the experienc

A visit to High Bar New York is, first and foremost, about the setting. The view is genuinely fantastic and sets the tone the moment you walk in. Inside, it feels more like a lounge than a traditional bar, with sofas, multiple TVs, layered ambient lighting, and a large flatscreen beside the bar that gives the space a relaxed but polished atmosphere. Great spot if you’re into draught beers, they have a really wide selection to choose from. Big shoutout to Liam behind the bar, he was super friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. ❤️ Definitely worth stopping by!

Long overdue to review Lore, we’ve been for dinner and brunch a few times and both are great. The menu is unique, fun, and delicious. I don’t think anything here is bad but there are some real standouts. I think the fermented dosa is a must. The fish chips and The Full Story 2.0 are both outstanding. I love the flavor of the burger, just wish it held together throughout, it ends up in pieces every time. The cocktail program is fun and worth exploring! The only negatives are that service can be a
