Traditional Indian restaurant serving a unique menu focused on cuisine from the Chennai region.
It's Anjappar, of course the food is going to be good, and since we were starving, everything tasted delicious. I was more partial towards the appetizers than the Biryani. Service was quick enough even though the place was packed, and the food was hot and fresh, eventhough we went in at 4 PM, which was neither lunch or dinner time. Decor was typical to most of the Indian restaurant chains in the US.

We went as a party of 6 and were seated almost immediately. The interior is beautiful, really impressive. Sushant, our server, was great! The food was really good, especially Paneer Kalimirch and Veg Chettinad. We got complimentary lunch appetizer and desert which was so nice of the restaurant. Really enjoyed the experience, food, service and the vibe. Will definitely recommend to everyone looking for an upscale Indian restaurant that can fill your hungry bellies while you explore the city.

Had yummy Kathi roll and chai after a long day at NY, it was so fulfilling to get chai in NYC! I would love t go back again to this place , although they can improve the interiors! It’s a self service , but the cost is very affordable, you wouldn’t find something so tasty at such reasonable rates in NYC. So If you are not looking for a posh restaurant and looking to grab a quick bite, this is the place!

Small, laid-back eatery doling out traditional and vegan Indian meals in contemporary quarters.
This place is very close to The Edge and Times Square, making it a great spot if you’re around the area. The restaurant is small with only 4–5 tables, so seating is limited. They had a lot of to-go orders, and the in-house service was a little slow because of that. They serve authentic Indian food, and the ambiance is cozy and nice—perfect for a date night, especially if you enjoy small spaces with corner tables and candlelight vibes. We ordered: • Samosas • Paneer Kali Mirch • Langar Wali Dal

Sophisticated Indian cuisine and a notable wine list offered in an elegant space with ornate accents.
Junoon definitely lives up to its reputation as a Michelin-star restaurant. The food was beautifully executed and full of bold, balanced flavors. The mango fish curry was very flavorful, with a great mix of sweetness and spice that didn't overpower the dish. For dessert, the ma rice pudding was excellent creamy and comforting, topped with toasted almonds and pomegranate that added a really nice texture and contrast. One of the highlights was the pani puri with tuna. It was very good and refres

Had such a great dining experience at Dhamaka recently. Our server, Shubham, took wonderful care of us and guided us through the menu with excellent recommendations for a fabulous meal. We started with the cocktails, Avocado Avatar and Ghee Whiz, both of which were fantastic and such fun, creative drinks. The Beef Pepper Fry and Paplet Fry were absolutely delicious and packed with flavor. We also loved the Short Rib Pulao, which arrived in the cutest little pressure cooker and tasted just as im

Had a great experience at Utsav Restaurant in New York. The food was absolutely delicious with authentic flavors and good portion sizes. Everything we ordered was fresh and well prepared. The location on 6th Avenue is also excellent, very convenient and perfect if you’re exploring the city around Times Square and Midtown. The atmosphere was nice, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely a great spot for Indian food in NYC. Would visit again!

After being here several times, I am embarrassed that I never left a review of this incredible restaurant. Our most recent visit was during Mother’s Day 2026. On this day guests were given the opportunity to order from the regular menu or the Mother’s Day menu. As per usual, the employees at Tamarind were highly professional , organized, and attentive. A pure vegetarian restaurant in New York and that too offering all you can it or what we call back in India...unlimited Gujrati Thali. Awesome Indian style sitting. Beautiful Decorations with Idol of Ganesh and beautiful paintings on walls. A fixed set menu but you can get all variety in it. Authentic Gujrati taste just like back home. Came with a group of friends to try this place because they’re known for their Dosa. Place was kinda empty when we went on a weekday but definitely a place where you can bring a large party. We got a variety of dosa, entrees, dessert and overall, everything was just okay. The potato filled dosa (rava dosa) was better than the original dosa. The sauces that came with it was pretty light, not too spiced as I was hoping. The soya dish we got was good. But overall it was kind of lacking flavor or sp

I truely loved this place. Indian food with new dishes I’ve haven’t tasted before. Their eggplant chaat is a must try. The aam paana and mango lassi were a taste of nostalgia for me. The buttery butter chicken, daal makhani, malai kofta curry was delicious. Me being a chicken fan, their chicken sheesh kababs were authentic flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised by Spice Symphony. We went on a Saturday night, and even though it was busy, it didn't feel chaotic . The simple, clean decor gives the restaurant a really nice vibe. For starters, we ordered Papadum and the Spinach Chaat. I was impressed by both. The Spinach Chaat had a perfect crisp and packed a unique and delicious flavor. I highly recommend it. For my entree, I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala with Garlic Naan. Loved the chicken - it went so well with the naan.

The flavors are strong, balanced, and a bit fiery in a great way. The Madurai goat chukka was moist, meaty, and really spiced well. Not too spicy, the roast's sauce has that great color and the orchestra of spices to justify the color. The mutton rolls are spicier than expected but still good. The chicken kothu was mellower and well balanced, a bit heavy so be aware. And of course the wattapalam is the best way to finish. Custardy with cardamom and cloves, this was a throwback dish for me.
