Modern spot with a pool table for tapas & raw oysters, plus clever cocktails, many whiskeys & sake.
Ended up being a good experience but what a confusing place. The restaurant is called Dark Bullet, the menu they gave us (which was for a different restaurant's food) said Zurutto, and the napkins said Tenzan, like where ARE we? it took about 15 minutes for the poor single employee at the bar to take our order and the food did come correct and was good. Also, they turned the lights off by our table about an hour into our meal so we were just in the dark? The chicken katsu was good but just weird

**5/5 Stars – Absolute Gem for Sushi Lovers!** I finally tried J San Sushi after seeing so many strong recommendations online, and wow – it completely lived up to the hype (and then some)! We went with delivery: 4 specialty rolls, 4 classic rolls, and 2 appetizers. The total came to around $80, which is an absolute steal compared to what I usually pay for similar quality and quantity at other places. Seriously, the value here is unreal – generous portions without skimping on anything. The fis

Just finished eating and already planning my second visit 🤤 Had to recommend this place to everyone! 💰89 for 14 courses is honestly such a steal. Left feeling ridiculously satisfied. ✨Loved that the chef personally introduced the fresh ingredients of the day before we started. The menu changes seasonally too — apparently it’s almost the end of octopus season, so definitely get it while you can! 🍣The course lineup was stacked: scallop, wagyu, uni, caviar, foie gras… literally all the good s

One of the very few good sushi’s in the Bronx with reasonable pricing. Been coming here for years (10+). Even after I moved out of neighborhood I still ordered through ubereats because the other sushi spots in Pelham parkway/Morris park/Williamsbridge are on the pricier side. I recently ordered a large sushi platter from them for a party to be picked up at 5pm. I was running late and they were concerned that I should pick up on time so we can enjoy it more fresh lol. Always been good quality and

Ever since Teriyaki One opened on Fordham Road, it’s been my absolute go-to for hitting those protein goals. Honestly, after an 8-mile walk, nothing beats grabbing their chicken and beef bento bowls. The place is always spotless and stays busy (which you know is a good sign), but the food is just straight-up delicious. If you're hunting for a spot that’s actually healthy and tastes great, you’ve gotta give them a try. Just a heads-up: once you get your receipt and number, just hang out in line

Just heard about their new Sushi taco and it's DELICIOUS. They come in either Salmon or Tuna, both equally tasty. This Salmon sushi taco also includes sour cream, avocado slices, their signature black rice, a lightly wasabi flavored sauce, eel sauce, and topped with crispy garlic flakes. The fresh salmon is excellently paired with the sour cream, giving the taco a velvety creamy taste and texture. Very delicious and a clever creation. Quick-serve teriyaki eats are served in a small dining room decked out with vintage desks as tables.
This is the flagship location of this New York City-based but Seattle-inspired miniature chain. Compared to traditional teriyaki, the Seattle version adds fresh ginger and garlic, so it tastes a tad different. This location, in particular, gets very crowded due to all the Midtown East workers, so if you're looking for a quieter meal, I would recommend either on the weekend, in the afternoon past 2:00 P.M., or on a holiday. The service can be a bit curt, but I think that's just because it becomes

It was a craving satisfying dinner at Lobster Club! Ashley was so intuitive and had great communication and recommended items oddly she knew i'd love. She always followed up when she felt i wanted something else. Had a Koshu Cocktail, Wagyu Uni Carpaccio, Spicy Chicken Yakitori, and a Salmon Ikura Handroll. Gosh! I had dinner at Verge Brooklyn restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The sushi was exceptionally fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared. I’m very particular about my sushi quality and Kouzan was incredible. The prices are really reasonable, and the hand rolls I ordered were so soft, fresh, melt-in-your-mouth level delicious. I ordered the yellowtail scallion, tuna avocado, and salmon avocado rolls. The service was incredibly fast and the staff was so kind and attentive. The other day I was in the Hudson Yards area and passed by Surma Sushi & Ramen and decided to stop in and check it out. I ordered a Deluxe Sashimi set and the Shrimp Tempura roll. Both items were good the Deluxe Sashimi had a variety of different fish. There was Fluke, Scallops, 3 kinds of Tuna and Salmon. Came in for a quick snack and had a very pleasant experience. The plateware for the sushi is beautiful. The chopstick holders are very unique and innovative. The sushi rice is mild and not sweet, the fish is fresh and perfectly sliced, and the rolls are bountiful and not overstuffed with rice. We loved the champagne and the white burgundy. My only critique is they should have better quality chopsticks to match the beautiful plates and wine glasses. Great service from a kind lady with bright gree

We used to be regular customers at this restaurant and ordered sushi delivery about once a month. The food was usually decent, which is why we kept coming back. However, today was extremely disappointing. We ordered four eel and avocado rolls, and there was absolutely no eel in any of them — just oversized chunks of avocado and sauce. It honestly felt misleading. This will definitely be our last order from this place. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it to anyone.

After 10+ visits I can safely say that Chef Katsu consistently delivers! The humble establishment punches far beyond its weight with the food quality rivaling that of fancy restaurants at 2-3X the price point. The menu is not long, demonstrating careful restraint by the chef. One cannot go wrong with any item. My go-to orders are the salmon ikura rice bowl or the pork katsu curry. Haven’t yet tried the shrimp katsu burger, which looks scrumptious. Don’t skip the desserts like panna cotta or yuzu

I’d say this place is average overall — not bad, but not amazing either. The sushi presentation was nice, but the freshness wasn’t quite there; you could tell it wasn’t the best quality fish. The saving grace was definitely the boys (chefs) — they were friendly, and everything was plated beautifully. I also highly recommend the mango kani salad — it was fresh, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal. As for desserts, I’d stay away from the tempura cheesecake — it looked fun but was a m

I’ve been to a couple of great tempura restaurants in Asia and loved the experience, so I’ve been looking forward to trying Tempura Matsui for a while. And it definitely delivered. Service was outstanding, as you’d expect at a small, counter-style restaurant like this, and the food takes tempura to a completely different level than what most people are used to. Wonderful omakase experience. Every course was fresh, beautifully prepared, and well balanced in flavor. Instead of the chef explaining each fish, the restaurant provides a small brochure with pictures and descriptions of the seafood used in the meal. I thought this was a very clever idea because it lets guests learn more about the fish at their own pace while eating. The brochure made the experience more engaging and educational. I’m very pleased with the inventive new menu at Gen! The smaller dishes — you could call them Japanese tapas — are creative and delicious. The Mini Ochazuke bowl features small pieces of sushi fish over rice and is a great value. The Crab Bomber is a delightful pairing of warm, crunchy rice and the rich taste of crab. Opened the fried rice to find a full hair in it (follicle attached.) so immediately off to a bad start, and I LOVE their fried rice. Then the shrimp tempura roll— one of the pieces was just the tail.
