My experience at El Sabroso was a bit mixed. I don’t speak Spanish, and when I went in to order there were no other customers around, so communication was somewhat difficult 😅. The owner was very kind and patient throughout the interaction, but due to the language barrier, the dish I received ended up being different from what I originally intended to order. The food itself was fine, but the ordering process felt a little stressful since we had to rely on limited communication and repeated cl

I stopped by this little restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by how good everything was. I ordered a mangú con tres golpes and it was absolutely on point, well prepared, flavorful, and just the comfort food I was craving. The jugo de Chinola was not overly sweet and it was just right and refreshing, as it should be. The service was just as great. Yadira took care of us with a big smile, quick service, and genuine kindness that made the experience even better. For such a small spot, it real

Stopped by this store to get lunch for take out. My first time at this place, so took me few minutes to understand how it works. Their lunch combo is one protein with rice or fries and side of beans. Multiple people are on the other side of counter to quickly prepare your meal and pack it to go. All the items are already cooked and kept warm in trays. I got the oxtail which was decent. Nice was soft but not fluffy, it was more like sticky rice kind. The portion is quite big. I finished my whole

I got a great takeout lunch from Don Ceviche in Essex Market. The pollo saltado was flavorful; the spicy green sauce was one of the most delicious hot sauces I’ve ever tasted. Service was pleasant and the food was ready in less than ten minutes.

The restaurant is super cute and the service is friendly and attentive. The food was good, the portions are huge. The ceviche was one of the better ones I have had, though I wish it came with chips. The empanada sampler was so good! The Peruvian chicken was outstanding.

Be the cheese to my papusa! Finally tried the El Salvadorian food papusas at Ricas Papusas & Mas. The papusas were pretty good and crunchy. They kind of had a nice tortilla crunch to it. I also liked how the food came with a side of raw beets. The sauces they provided also weren’t too spicy and just the right amount of spice. However, the tamale I tried didn’t have much flavor to it was kind of dry and flavorless. The flan also wasn’t really sweet. It had more of a bitter cough syrup taste to it

Good Dominican restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was 5 stars, our server was very friendly and the price wasn’t too expensive. I had the Mangu and it was on point. Parking is difficult in the area and was the only thing I could complain about.

Such delicious food at this restaurant! The churrasco never disappoints! Every time is delicious and the portions are large enough for take home! Best Ecuadorian food in Astoria hands down!

Solid option for a quick bite. Made to order and comes out quick. Super friendly and welcoming! Reasonable prices too. The Ecuadorian roasted pork sandwich is nice, the pork has rich flavor. Fried plantains are alright. I need to go back to try their breakfast! Ice cold lemonade with the Cubano hits the spot.

Amazing place in NYC. The service was fantastic, fast and very friendly. I love the food, it was so delicious and well presented. I would definitely come back with friends, because this is almost like a hidden gem. 10/10. Service from Jair and Laura was excellent, they are very kind and friendly, excellent recommendations too.

Amazing food, great service, everyone is very kind and answered all our questions. Our first time having Ecuadorian food so I can’t speak to the authenticity but to me it was incredible - so hearty, fresh and good. The best tostones I’ve ever had! Big portions and very reasonably priced. I loved this place.

The staff is very rude and nasty. And what made my experience even more Disgusting was that i Found a hair in my burger, never coming back here again. Poor service and the food is not all that. Another place that will be shutting down soon.

The food is on point !!! Julio was our server and bartender and he is the best !! Highly recommend the chupe de camarones ! Woooow ! The shrimp tacos were insane every part to the tortilla was perfectly cooked. And last but not least the leche de Tigre ( that came in a glass fish bowl was fire 🔥 . $6 happy hour margaritas was the sign we saw on the corner that got us in the door , perfect promotion from the corner to mid block , well played !! The best seafood soup I have ever eaten!!! I could not stop raving to my colleagues about this place afterwards. Lots of various seafood items (shrimp, clams, crab, fish) - there was probably 300 g of protein if not 400 g in a delicious broth. Soup came with yellow rice on a side and freshly baked corn tortilla. I have never liked corn tortilla before this one (prefer the ones made from flour). The portion was $20, but it was two lunches for me. It took about 15 minutes to arrive once I placed a

Walk by here all the time, finally went in to pick up lunch. 1/2 chicken lunch plate I picked up was amazing. Chicken perfectly seasoned and juicy, salad fresh and rice fluffy and delicious. I want to dine in next time. The place looks like a mom and pop shop, it looks like the deco evolved with time, not stamped out like chain restaurants. Love all the plants.

Honestly one of the top cocktail bars I’ve been to in queens. Service was impeccable, drinks were phenomenal, they had great variety, the atmosphere was really nice too! Atleast the times I’ve been, they’ve played good music at a reasonable volume. Perfect for bringing friends and chatting over a drink. The food here also is fantastic. Two tias indeed! This place felt like I was back in Bogota. Chicharrones, arepas, frijoles, avocado… I was so happy to stumble upon this eatery. And it’s very inexpensive for the size of portions. Feels and sounds dead inside. On my way to work waiting for the Q59 I paid $6.50 for an ice coffee that was good but that croissant with cheese in it was trash. It was old and wrinkly and as I was going to ask for another one they literally all look the same. Gotta change up the freshness seriously. The different choices is the only reason I gave a 2 star

Came here for an anniversary lunch :) the place was beautifully decorated as Mother’s Day was right around the corner. We ordered jugo de guayaba y jugo de maracuya, which were both very good. One of the cachapa came with chicharron on the side and the other one had pulled chicken. They were both delicious, though very filling so I suggest sharing if you’re not someone with a big appetite. My only critique is that this place is a bit pricey and the space is a bit tight in between tables.

I was taken here for my birthday as a surprise and I loved it ! It wasn’t super packed , cause it was snowing so we didn’t have a crazy rush which I was thankful for. The flan was one of the birthday options that came out with a cute sparkler , I’m personally not a big fan of flan and our waitress was so sweet and thoughtful she gave us another dessert in replacement. Definitely recommend for a birthday celebratio

I've noticed that I strongly prefer baked empanadas over fried empanadas. Baked empanadas feel so much lighter, fluffier, and enjoyable to me over the fried counterpart. Also each of the empanadas were at least $5 each so be mindful of that To start, the guava and cheese empanada was by far the best one and my favorite. It's slightly sweet and the cheese is firm, almost like the cheese on a room temp pizza - my favorite! For an empanada - 9/10, would get this consistently if I'm getting empanad

Went here with my brother for breakfast last week. It was excellent. I got huevos pericos (scrambled eggs with tomato, peppers, green onions, etc.) and he got the rice and beans with sausage. Both were excellent. The green hot sauce was also really good—we almost went through an entire bottle. Finally we split a vanilla do if which was more like a donut eclair; very very sweet but good. In short, I loved this place. There is no wonder it is so hyped up and popular.

Disrespectful, careless, and zero accountability Do NOT order takeout or delivery from this place. Matter of fact, don’t dine in either if you value respect. This place is terrible. Let's begin with the rice if you can't make a decent white rice you shouldn't have a restaurant and the arroz morro which I got tasted like it burnt on them then they try too save what ever they could but you could taste the smoked flavor on that rice. the pasta salad with mayonnaise was terrible in other words expired the maduros were not sweet and over fried I can keep going but just save your money and dont go.
