Ayat has quickly become one of my favorite neighborhood spots; It only opened a few months ago, and it’s already packed most days, but it’s 100% worth it. Come hungry because the portions are generous! So far I’ve had the grilled halloumi & watermelon salad, Fattat Lahma Platter, Pizzawarma, and the shawarma sandwich, and every single dish has been amazing. The kibbeh are an absolute must! I order them every time. And don’t skip the mocktails! The Hibiscus Margarita and the Limonana are both S

My husband and I came to New York for a few days on vacation, and during our trip we ended up visiting this restaurant three times because we absolutely loved it! Every meal was delicious, and we tried a variety of dishes—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. We honestly couldn’t find a single thing we didn’t enjoy. The restaurant is very cozy, beautiful, and has such a welcoming atmosphere. A special thank you to our waitress, Daria, who was incredibly kind, friendly, and

Guy at the counter was nice. Place seemed clean. Gotta be the worst beef kofta I've ever had though -- texture of rubber, smelled like shrimp, taste was not very good or specifically beefy. Rice also tasted a bit odd. I didn't try a burger or shawarma, who knows, could be better 🤷

I came here on a Saturday 11 am peak time on mother's day weekend and it was amazing! We were seated immediately and our server was so nice! The atmosphere was also great I could talk it wasn't loud or crowded inside and our food came quickly! I got the jacks breakfast and it was immaculate the skirt steak was cooked amazingly so tender and the eggs were scrambled so we'll! We also paired with the duck bacon witch had a rich and smokey flavor but not dry it kept the juicyness of the fat! All aro

Swanky spot for meat-centric Turkish fare from a chef with a flamboyant serving style.
I had a wonderful lunch and thoroughly enjoyed the $59 Wagyu lunch set. I chose the Wagyu Meat Sushi, the 7oz Wagyu Filet Mignon, and the San Sebastián Cheesecake following Claudio’s recommendation. Every course was beautifully executed and absolutely delicious. The tasteful music also added to the enjoyable atmosphere. What made the experience truly memorable, however, was the exceptional service from Claudio. His warm hospitality and genuine attentiveness stood out throughout the meal. He reg

Loved the food here (and attentive service to boot). The middle eastern spices made the food so delicious. The dips were so creamy and tasty on the Frena (or any of their breads). The chicken wings were our favourite. Can’t fault the crispy squash blossoms, Adana (lamb & beef) on tzatziki & baby artichokes. The small (2) selection of desserts were also good. Overall a great dining experience. Will be trying their other sister restaurants.

LOVE IT HERE! The vibes were immaculate. Our server Heaven was literally that, a slice of Heaven! She was amazing, she gave us great recommendations for our first time here. She was very attentive and made sure everything was good for us. The food was pretty good, the drinks were fire, and the hookah was always a vibe. I feel like we got everything we needed out of this place. 10/10 would highly recommend and will be back. Ask for Heaven!

Had a great experience at Au Za’atar in East Village—the food and overall vibe were just amazing. We started with the hummus with sautéed mushrooms and pine nuts, and it was honestly one of the best hummus dishes I’ve had—rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Also tried the sumac fries, which were super addictive—perfectly crispy and lightly tangy from the sumac, with a nice fresh touch from the parsley. The shish tawook was cooked just right—juicy, well-marinated with lemon and herbs, and

Snug, simple counter-serve dishing up hearty halal dishes, including kebabs, gyros & rice platters.
The place is ok. We placed a big order and the food was ok. Some of the grill chicken was actually over cooked and a bit burnt. The portions are ok. The place is not set up for dinning in as there are no settings or tables. You have to order out. The good part is that they have a dedicated parking area on the side of the store which is a bless in this area. The Halal Guys is one of the most iconic food stories in New York City, and that legacy is real and earned. What started as a humble cart at 53rd Street and Sixth Avenue in the early 1990s built a following so devoted that it eventually grew into a national franchise -- and the food that made them famous is still recognizable in every bowl and platter they serve. The signature white sauce remains the star: creamy, tangy, and completely their own. The chicken and beef gyro platters over seasoned

TLDR: I haven't even eaten there but wow was it good. Definitely will be returning, the baba ghanoush and both the lamb leg/stews were insane. Had this delivery at a friend's place and wow - everything was so tasty. Each order comes with this huge toasty pita that's perfect to mop up the sauces and plates. I had an outstanding experience at this Mediterranean-inspired restaurant. We ordered several mezze to share, and honestly, they were probably the best I’ve ever had. Longtime local Middle Eastern chain serving falafel, shawarma, kebabs & more in a traditional space.
The falafel is legendary, and it lives up to it — perfectly prepared. I'm honestly not sure how they pull it off. Most places like this give you burnt edges and an uneven interior, but every piece here was flawless. You can tell they've been doing this a long time. We got the McDougal and the West 4th sandwiches. Tastewise they're pretty interchangeable, but that's no complaint — both are stuffed with huge portions of well-prepared lamb, sliced into thin strips that are perfect for eating out o

I’ve tried this place three times now and I just don’t like it. I know Mamdani loves and I and I like almost all his favorite places but this just doesn’t do it for me. I’ve had the chicken adana laffa, sausage laffa, mixed shwarma pita, and eggplant. The laffa sandwiches are definitely better than the pita sandwiches. Still, the flavors just don’t really do it for me. The spice mix on the chicken and sausage is off putting; the shwarma meat is a little burned; the sandwiches are all way too ove

I had the Eggs Benedict and it was absolutely delicious. My friend ordered a halloumi dish, which was also very good.
