Hip, counter-serve chain for gourmet takes on fast-food classics like burgers & frozen custard.
Thank God for this Shack Shake! We were so hungry from a long walk around the city and needing some calories before entering the Whitney Museum of Art. Quick. Affordable. Great for the kids! Restrooms for customers but you know we had to go so this was another blessing. Then we learned about the High Line that starts right above this location! What an adventure! highly recommend!

Compact shop offering a selection of oolong teas, plus tastings & an intimate dinner experience.
Wow, what a CUTE tea shop. I love tea, so I was so happy to finally visit this shop on my trip from CA. The shop is small but has plenty of seating. The vibe is quaint and elegant while still feeling welcoming and approachable—some high-quality tea places can sometimes be very snobbish which is a turn off. Everything here feels so thoughtfully done, from the decor and music to the menu layout and the small traditional Taiwanese snacks served alongside the tea. There’s something for both a tea c

A menu of Pan-Latin dishes in a chic restaurant & bar serving cocktails, wine & beer.
I didn't go for the food, I can't speak to the food. I went and sat at the bar and had a few mocktails. The bar tender was excellent, he was engaging and knowledgeable, giving great rundowns of the mocktails, their profiles and giving great suggestions. The atmosphere is good as well, it's kind of small but I enjoyed my time.

Sourdough bagel stuffed with japanese-style tamagoyaki, and a shakshuka inspired bagel sandwich spotted in NYC! The secret to their fluffy egg omelette is that every bagel sammy is made with an individual omelette made in cast-iron tamagoyaki pans from Japan. Their West Village location gives off a buzzy deli vibe, with limited bar and window seating. It was packed when I went on the weekend, so it’s more of a grab-and-go spot. Location 12/10. Perfect spot for cocktails. Service is ok and cocktails are fine, more about the atmosphere. Lobster BLT was actually great!! They do not rush you. There is plenty of shade. Very comprehensive food menu. Drinks were a bit sweet. Would come back in the summer for sure!

Cozy cigar bar with stogies, spirits & wines in a clubby, book-filled space.
This is my favorite cigar bar in The city. It is a classy establishment that manages to feel both upscale and perfectly relaxing. Whether you’re looking to sit at the bar or tuck away into a corner of their library with a book and a cigar, the atmosphere is unmatched. The staff here are absolutely amazing. I visit quite often with my cat, and they are always so welcoming—it has truly become our go-to spot. My favorite cocktail is Lady Luck. 🍸 Now that the weather is nice, they opened also outdo

Neighborhood sushi spot offering a variety of rolls plus a high-end set menu in a spare setting.
Easily recommended! Fairly small, low-key place with a long sushi counter and a handful of tables. If you go for omakase there are several price points available, which I think are all very reasonable. If you're at the sushi counter, the service is very efficient; this won't be a course that goes on for hours. Good variety of fish and flavors, hitting a few different points of taste and texture. Definitely good nigiri, all nicely put together with unique garnishes that complement each piece wit

When I say 0 frills seriously I mean 0 frills. The essence of this place is an absolutely outrageous burger delivered inside of essentially a gas station convenience store. The service isn’t super fast, no indoor seating, no fancy gimmicks, but the burger is just that good to give this place the 5 star. Quality tasting meat, super fresh sesame bun, crisp lettuce and pickles all brought together by their smacking sauce. Honestly, one of the best burgersI’ve had in a while. If I’m in the area, I’m

Quaint duplex wine/cocktail bar with Mediterranean restaurant, plus fireplace & garden.
I’ve been here a few times and loved it, but hadn’t been back in probably over a year. It’s changed so much since I was last here. The music was way too loud I could barely hear, they added more tables to fit more people, it no longer had the cozy armchairs, and overall felt like any other west village bar instead of the unique and cozy cocktail bar I remember. Drinks were also not very strong. Still good but no longer one of my favorite spots for a good cocktail and chill vibe.

The cocktail selection is phenomenal, it’s balanced and delicious, even the people sat next to us agreed! My favorite dish is probably stuffed farfalle with snow crab. It’s creamy and just the right amount of crab, flour and sauce to balance each bite! You’ll be amazed!! Another go to is definitely steak. It’s lightly fried on the outside but juicy inside which is not overly oily, spicy crunch on top adds an Asian style kick. A gem place for sure!!💕

This was good! Love a traditional Italian made sandwich. As a New Yorker, a proper sandwich will be praised. Fresh made Italian hero w/ sesame seeds my fav. Fresh made mozzarella. Cozy venue serving classic & creative sushi along with Asian fusion fare & cocktails in chic digs.
Found this place while looking for a bar to watch the Knicks game. We were originally seated at the restaurant area for dinner, but the owner was so nice and rearranged a bunch of chairs for us in view of the screens above the bar once things started getting going. She ended up rearranging practically the entire restaurant so that everyone could get a good view of the TVs, and it was such a good time. great energy and atmosphere overall, and all the restaurant staff were so kind. Service was relaxed, in a good way. I didn’t have the prefix, it didn’t have the things I wanted to try. The table next to me did have it and it looked good. I had the rigatoni carbonara and it was delicious. The oysters were amazing. And the cardamom honey toast with pineapple marmalade was the best French toast I ever had. Wonderful omakase experience. Every course was fresh, beautifully prepared, and well balanced in flavor. Instead of the chef explaining each fish, the restaurant provides a small brochure with pictures and descriptions of the seafood used in the meal. I thought this was a very clever idea because it lets guests learn more about the fish at their own pace while eating. The brochure made the experience more engaging and educational. It included details about the characteristics, flavor, habitat,

It was my first time at this location, the food was delicious. I waited until 4pm to have a sangria, i have tasted better elsewhere but it did give me a nice buzz. Their coffee wasn’t very impressive, especially the whipped honey latte, which felt overrated and ended up being a real disappointment. The cold brew was very solid though. I MISS THE OLD RED SALSA!!!! to preface, I’ve been getting a little taco every week of my life for about the last six years. The old salsa Was one of my favorite sauces in the game, or frankly in the world. A couple months ago, they changed it. It was beautiful the perfect mix of creamy and liquidy, notes of garlic, peppers, and tomatoes with a heat that just gets you in the right spot. The new sauce in my opinion is far worse. The Irish-ish themed bar has multiple levels, giving customers plenty of space to sit and relax even as the first floor gets busy with people. I’ve had a lot of French Dips in my time, but what Executive Chef Hank is doing at Salt Hanks (opened in 2025) is in a league of its own. It’s easy to look at the $34 price tag and be a skeptic, but this isn't just a sandwich—it’s a work of art. The foundation is a magnificent horseradish-garlic aioli seasoned bread with a crisp, perfect exterior that holds up to the dip. The meat itself is decadent, incredibly moist, and tender.
