Yes its’s dark. Yes it’s bellow street level and if you didn’t know it existed you’d walk right by but the drinks are spot on and the bar tenders are attentive and friendly and it’s a neighborhood hangout that makes everyone feel welcome. I discovered this place during my routine walk around Atlantic Ave. I was in the mood for a coffee during my walk and I also needed place where I can use the restroom. So I went in and it ended up being a place I truly appreciate. The coffee is good in my opinion and the seating area comes in handy when wanting to disconnect and concentrate. I definitely recommended this place! There is Wifi but you gotta ask the barista for the password.

For my fellow milk coffee snobs: it's rare to find a place in NYC which knows how to respect both the espresso shot and alternative milk. Came here on a cold (-17C) sat morn and ordered an oat capp to warm my pretentious soul. Smooth, well-heated milk and even did a bit of latte art despite being in takeaway cup. The coffee had distinctive notes (deeply nutty and a touch of lavender).

Everything they serve is incredibly fresh, and the selection is just massive compared to your average shop. The staff are always super friendly even when it is busy, and I love that they are open all the time so you can grab a treat whenever the craving hits. This has got to be by far my favorite tacos in the city. They were worth ALL the hype they have been getting. Carnitas Ramirez is out here serving all parts of the pig in taco, Gordita or just the free standing meat form. I ordered the cheek, belly and ribs.
