Went to Pelicana Chicken in Whitestone with my family last night and tried a few things. The food was very solid, but the pricing around extras left a strange impression. We ordered 20 bone-in wings, which were excellent in both flavor and crispiness. However, I didn’t love that they charged $2 for every sauce, whether tossed on the wings or served on the side—it feels more like a money grab than a value add, especially when most wing spots include at least one sauce option by default. It’s truly one of my favorite places. I love how friendly the staff is, especially Cami, who helps you choose the best option when you’re undecided and encourages you to try new flavors. If you’re hesitating about coming to this place, let me tell you—it’s the best choice and you won’t regret it.

I was thrilled to see ZZ’s Clam Bar and its space reopening. The warm and welcoming atmosphere was perfect for a Friday night dinner. The attentive and courteous staff really created quite a personal experience. The top-quality food, particularly the lobster, and drinks are worth the premium price on a somewhat limited menu. But the vibe and intimacy is what makes this place special. It’s a spot I plan to return to for the experience, not just the meal.

I got fried chicken fingers last evening and they seem fried twice as they were over fried and too tough to eat and wait times are longer than nice sit down restaurants. French fries cold too, bad experience and since you pick food up there and have to take it to another location to eat it they shouldn’t be so cheap and at least put food in a covered container not a flmsmy uncovered container. I won’t waste my money on their food again, I’ll eat before attending another event there. I was there

If you’re craving a truly delicious sandwich, this is the place to go. Their gourmet sandwiches are consistently outstanding—fresh ingredients, creative combinations, and perfectly balanced flavors in every bite. I’ve been here multiple times and it has never disappointed. Whether you’re stopping by for a quick lunch or a casual meal, you can count on great quality and satisfying portions every time. Highly recommended for any sandwich lover.

Great value lunch combo! 🍱 The portion is big, food comes out super fast, and it’s very affordable. For only $8.75, you get 3 sides, plus rice or lo mein, and even a free soda! Everything tastes fresh and flavorful — definitely one of the best deals around for a quick and satisfying meal. Highly recommend!

Insane tastes. I ate the entire meal like if I was starving. 2nd time here. The chimichurri on the rice is unbelievable. Good clean eating. Very cute cozy spot, very humble employees. Loved the old school Tango music they were playing. Very romantic. I even had to Shazam some of it. Happy New Years!

I visited on Wednesday, April 8th around 5:28 PM and had an experience I hadn’t had before at this location. I was helped by a girl I hadn’t seen before, and unfortunately the quality of the drinks was not the same as usual. The person in front of me asked to have their drink remade because it was too milky. At the time, I thought it might just be personal preference, but when I received my drink — made by the same person — it also tasted off and poorly prepared. Additionally, the boba was ver

Don’t usually leave reviews, but had a bad experience this morning at this Starbucks. I got there around 5:50am tried the door, and it was locked. I was told by the employees they open at 6:00 a.m. I patiently waited outside. While I was waiting outside, I could tell one of the employees inside was annoyed I was there early and giving me dirty looks. Once it hit 6:00am. I visit this bar several times a month, I really like the atmosphere and that they take care of the people who came to relax. Thanks to the good work of the security service and the owner of the establishment who made the decision that for some visitors I think it is right and that is why I choose this bar. I am sure that I am safe. That I will not become part of a scandal or a fight. The kitchen prepares very tasty rolls and salads, as for a bar this is a very big plus, because in bars usually

I tried Bronx Burger Co and it did not disappoint. These are honestly the best burgers in New York. The quality, flavor, and freshness really stand out every single time. I order the Maple Bacon Burger almost every week and it never fails — it’s absolutely amazing. The perfect combination of sweet and savory, and always cooked just right. The portions are generous, the vibe is casual and welcoming, and the whole experience keeps me coming back. If you’re in NYC and craving a burger, this spot

🚨 FRIED COCKROACH FOUND IN MY FOOD — DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE 🚨 I live an hour and a half away from the Bronx and decided to stop here to eat. Everything seemed fine at first. I’ve had bariatric surgery, so I only ate a small portion and saved the rest for later. When I got home and opened the container to continue eating, I found a fried cockroach underneath the rice. This was one of the most disgusting and horrifying experiences I’ve ever had with a restaurant. I felt sick to my stomach and c

This is your typical boba tea spot with lots of flavors and options to choose from. I was NOT at the fly dragon Chinese spot. I was at the Mega Seafood Spot! And their food is delicious and the prices are decent. You should go try it! Stopped by while on my way back from running errands and picked up a couple things. The turnip cakes caught my eye. Not sure how long they were sitting on the counter but they still had a nice texture and tasted good. They also have a nice chicken sandwich and the onigiri was great—and it all cost around $9. Ordered the "P50" panini which had a pretty suitable amount of steak, chipotle mayo, onions and some sort of yellow cheese that didn't really strike me as American cheese although I could be wrong. The panini was tasty as well as the truffle fries that I ordered. It was almost $10 for the fries but they literally give you a small bucket of it and for a fat dude with a big appetite, I struggled to finish the fries. I have seen this restaurant for some time but I never seem to be shopping at Essex Market after it opens. Luckily I mad it there yesterday and it was wonderful. There is only counter seating which at first seem surprisingly high till you get used to it. While you don’t get to watch the chef prepare your food when it’s presented there is a sense of wonder as several dishes are quite beautiful. Great service, the bagels 🥯 are fresh. Hidden bagel store in Coney Island. I’ve heard about this bagel store about half a year ago from locals finally got a chance to try it. Bagels have different flavors jalapeños cheese, Parmesan mozzarella bagel. Those special flavors bagels caught my attention. I usually don’t leave reviews unless something really stands out, but I was quite disappointed with the almond croissant here. I visited on a weekday afternoon, and unfortunately, both the outside and inside were very dry—it was tough to chew and reminded me of animal feed. My friend finished it so it wouldn’t go to waste, but honestly, I didn’t think it was worth the calories. I haven’t tried their other pastries, but I wouldn’t recommend the almond croissant.

Ray's Cafe is a tiny down to earth cafe on City Island in the Bronx. It is not to be confused with all the big touristy overpriced fried seafood restaurants that line City Island Ave. This is the place the locals come for a inexpensive breakfast or lunch. Ray's is small, my guess is that it can hold at best 20 guests? It is not fancy, it has hand written signs taped to the wall and you can order at the counter or have someone take your order. I went here a while ago so I don't remember the exact name of the items that I ordered. It was a fish soup-like dish that had veggies and it came with rice, and the drink was coconut-based. The entire meal was under $20 💸 My Chinese origin classmate from college took me there as this was her go-to spot. The paintings were sure damn pretty and the vibes inside were cozy. The worst Mexican food I’ve had in New York. I KNEW I should’ve walked out the restaurant when I didn’t smell food walking in. The place was cold and there was nobody there, except a friend of the guy behind the counter and someone picking up an order. Came here after leaving the hospital, hungry and pregnant, only to be told they’re cash only. I go out of my way to use their ATM and pay extra fees just to get cash, then I’m told the grill is closed for catering. That information should have been shared before making customers take out cash. Completely inconsiderate and a waste of time and money. I will not be spending my money here ever they are rude the lady walked away while I’m talking!

I was disappointed with my breakfast. The breaded chicken cutlet I was served had a noticeably pink center when I cut into it, which made me uncomfortable continuing to eat it. The griddle cakes were delicious, the breakfast potatoes were well seasoned and cooked, but the eggs were much runnier than I expected. Unfortunately, the chicken cutlet was a miss for me.
