My bf and I usually stop by here after the gym - really authentic and fresh food that is a mix of dishes from across China. This is a favorite of mine in midtown for suan cai yu (pickled mustard green fish). Every dish, however, isn’t super oily and actually quite delicate given that it’s a bit more high end. A comfy and casual restaurant with great food! We came late at night and so it was more chill and relaxed, there's nice music playing inside and the waitresses pay attention to your table and gave great recommendations. Food came out very quick. I'm so glad I finally decided to come and try this restaurant. The staff and the owner were the absolute sweetest and kindest, I felt right at home as if they were my uncles and brothers. The owner made me get free rice pudding on the house and I got to try their lentil soup as well, which was very cozy. Ordered the ChaHalo black milk tea with 50% sugar. It’s topped with whipped cream and toasted pecans. It was delicious, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. It's an enjoyable drink especially if you are planning to walk around Chinatown in this warm weather. It had just that little bit of grease you want and expect from good pepperoni. The atmosphere inside was great too, especially the nice, long copper bar along the back wall for dining. Before going in, I checked the Google Maps rating and thought maybe people were being too harsh. The place looks nice, the seating is pleasant, and the overall vibe is good. I ordered an almond croissant and a black coffee. Unfortunately, the food was a disappointment. I couldn’t finish the croissant.
