Bakery for whole grain breads, babka & other sweets, plus sandwiches, salads & coffee.
I have long been a loyal patron of Bread’s Bakery. They offer a variety of delicious breads, pastries, salads, dips, vegetables, beverages and more made with high quality ingredients. They are a really valuable contribution to the lincoln square neighborhood with a healthy option for breakfast, lunch, or dinner for residents and employees working nearby. Their menu offers a variety of options for individuals with different dietary needs and preferences. They have always had an A safety rating.

Snug, bustling bakery preparing sizeable cookies in a range of flavours including seasonal specials.
OMG, Chip City is easily one of my top, top, top places for cookies. I’m usually not a fan of Dubai chocolate, but a staff member recommended it, so I gave it a try and I loved it. I’m still thinking about it, honestly. Their classic chocolate chip cookies are a favorite of mine, and every cookie is unique and delicious!!!

Tai Pan Bakery has one of the best egg tarts so far in the city! I love that they have both the flaky and cookie crust egg tarts along with the porteguese egg tart. The flaky crust is perfect, layers flake off as you bite into it and the filling is not too eggy and not too sweet. Their cookie crust egg tart has a satisfying soft snap as you bite into the oval end. I also love that it's oval shaped!! The only other bakery that I know of that does cookie crust oval shaped egg tarts is Saint Anna B

Bagels (plus a wide selection of toppings), smoked fish, sandwiches & more in a bustling space.
This place is good, but totally overpriced and the staff is not friendly at all. Indeed, the bagel was delicious, but not worth 20 dollars. It was very hyped everywhere so I decided to try it, but won’t be back. I’ve had very good bagels in NY, just like this one, but at 1/3 the price. An extra point for having the “gluten free” option for the menu, plus a special green bagel made for St. Patrick’s day.

The Crumbl app is very good and super helpful for checking the weekly cookie menu, placing orders, and seeing what’s new. Everything loads fast and it’s easy to use. The only thing I’d warn people about is if you plan to pay in cash — make sure you bring at least $10. Sometimes the in-app price doesn’t match exactly when you get to the store, so you might need a little extra. Besides that, it’s a great app and makes ordering Crumbl a lot easier.

Beautiful presentation of the pistachio crepe I ordered. Perfectly sweet; the slight saltiness of the nuts elevates the flavor. My crepe was very filling too; I really enjoyed taking my time to savor it. Paired well with the dragonfruit lemonade I got. The establishment is nice, clean, well-decorated and has a really lively atmosphere—especially in the rear dining area. A good spot to get some late night desserts while chatting with your friends. I would definitely come back.

Signature mille crêpes are the draw at this upscale French bakery & pastry shop.
A bakery famously known for their mille crepes, which is basically a crepe cake that the have in so many different flavors, that they sell either by the slice, or you can also buy a whole cake. The choice was tough, but eventually we took a slice of the strawberry-matcha crepe cake (the top part is strawberry cream filled, and the bottom part if matcha cream filled) and a slice of the signature mille crepe (entirely filled with pastry cream). Surprisingly, the signature one was kinda boring an

I ordered a coffee frappe without whipped cream, as I usually do. After 5 minutes, I received my drink with cream on the top. I informed the cashier, who asked the barista to change it. Instead or remaking the drink, she scooped off most of the whipped cream with a spoon, leaving some behind, and handed back to me. I decided to let go the whipped cream that was let on the top. Unfortunately, the frappe was flavorless and not sweet at all, which is not how it normally tastes. I had to go back ag

🥐 Fabrique Bakery on 14th is such a cozy little gem ✨ The exposed brick inside gives it the cutest warm vibe, and there are a few indoor seats if you want to sit and enjoy your coffee and pastry ☕️ I had the maple pecan bun and it was DELICIOUS 🤎🍁 The flavors were so rich and comforting. I honestly would’ve loved it even more warmed up, but it was still super fresh and tasty. Perfect spot for a slow morning, quick coffee stop, or pastry run in the city 🥐 Definitely adding this to my go-to

The bagels were warm and fluffy. We ordered a 3 pack - everything, salt, and plain and they snuck an extra everything in the bag! We also tried the chimichurri butter and elite cream cheese schmear and both were great. There was a bit of a line but it moved along quickly.

These pastries were incredibly good. We didn’t have too much of a long line but we waited around 10 minutes. We got the chocolate chip cookie, butter, croissant, raspberry, almond croissant, cinnamon roll, and regular almond croissant. We also got an almond milk cappuccino. There is very limited seating upstairs, we waited around 10 minutes to get a table. Overall, there are a lot of options for bread and sandwiches, as well as pastries. Radio Bakery is a well-known spot, even for tourists (they don't optimize for their in-store display instructions just so you know), that I’d categorize as a "sometimes" visit if you can arrive early. They rotate menu offerings based on seasonal ingredients, so your experience may vary. While I previously had a lousy, overly salty ham focaccia, this time the French onion soup croissant was amazing — crispy and perfectly savory (to a point that I may consider returning for this). A famous bagel shop, that has several branches around the city. We had the BLT bagel with an addition of avocado with an everything bagel, and were trying to decide on a second bagel to share, but we looked for something less conventional so I consulted with the staff at the counter. The cashier was super patient and kind, and recommended taking their original hot honey cream cheese with a sesame bagel. This ended up being such a great recommendation, and we absolutely loved it! We waited about 20 minutes in line on a snowy Sunday morning. The line was long, but moved quick and efficiently. We ordered a sesame with cream cheee, and another sesame with cream cheese with tomato. The Sesame with tomato was perfection - it had a little drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper and typing that out makes my mouth water. Apollo bagels for sure lives up to the hype! The staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Local mini-chain providing hand-rolled bagels, spreads & smoked fish in modest digs.
At Zucker's, they like to do it the old fashioned way, hand rolled and kettle boiled. This is a true New York bagel and often a winner of awards. I think anyone can find something they like here with a big menu for breakfast and lunch, including sandwiches on bagels, wraps, or artisan breads, soups, salads, and smoked fish. I also like the steel-cut oatmeal, homemade granola, omelets, coffee, and pastries. They have gluten free bagels, excellent service, and they get the line moving fast.

Brooklyn Bagel & Coffee Company in Astoria is one of those neighborhood spots that lives up to its reputation. It’s always busy, which already tells you a lot, but the flow is generally well managed and worth the short wait. The atmosphere is casual and lively, very much a local favorite rather than a tourist stop. The bagels are the real highlight at least for my taste, thick, chewy, and perfectly baked, with that ideal balance between a crisp exterior and a soft, dense inside. There variety

Perfect snack for any time, especially when walking around in the freezing cold darkness while it’s snowing, like we psychos did. We ordered: ~ churro - the best one. Smeared with dulce de leche and then covered in cinnamon sugar. Tastes infinitely better than it looks. ~ WMD - has strawberries and bananas. The healthiest one for those of you who like to lie to yourselves. ~ de Bom - vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge. The most boring of all these awesome desserts is still really good.

Always an excellent experience at our favorite local bagel store. Julianna (sp) is a pleasure and so helpful. The food, service and choices are always on point. Terrible customer service, I order a simple cake that they already have ready. Just ask for colorful sprinkles and dot with color and they gave a completely different cake that was not even similar to the picture I show. The girl that took my order messed up what I explain to her. Messing up an order and then trying to blame the customer is completely wrong. I was in Midtown today and remembered I needed to bring home a loaf of sourdough. Behold, the heavens opened on 40th & 6th Ave. I swear I heard angels caroling, "Ole & Steen Lagkagehuset!" I'm a native Minnesotan, so I didn't need anyone to tell me that Ole & Steen was Scandinavian. Danish, as it turns out. Åh min gud! The bread is the best I've ever had! Very busy on a Sunday morning. It was pretty loud and not much standing room to wait. It was also a little chaotic to order and pay. My bagel was ready very quickly, maybe a 5-10 minute wait. It was perfectly hot and very delicious. Would definitely go here again next time i’m in the city!

I have often walked past the Pick A Bagel on E 77th and Lexington but it’s often so busy that I missed out on their delicious muffins, coffee and bagels ! They also have impressive looking paninis! However, recently I’ve been enjoying their baked goids as well as their coffee! And it’s definitely worth waiting on line, since everything I’ve eaten there is indeed delicious. Great donuts with a wide variety to select from. On my visit I ordered the brown butter salted caramel, the passion fruit curd donut, and the banana sticky bun. The passion curd itself is delicious with a light tartness. The ratio of curd to donut is off. There is only a small dollop of curd at the center of a rather normal sized donut. I was expecting it to be filled as well given the size. Bites that didn’t have the curd in them were boring. The brown butter salted caramel donut is better w

Solid Bagel Place! I had the Signature favorite with salmon - it was tasty and the portion is solid, not too small/not too big. Everything on the bagel was fresh, the salmon had a great color and they did not hold back on it, there was a good amount of it on the bagel.
