Disappointing experience. The ice cream was okay, but it started melting almost immediately after being served. The staff member was rude when I asked her to repeat herself, responding with attitude and unnecessary gestures. Customer service was definitely lacking and made the visit unpleasant.

Bough a lil cake for my mother’s bday and I have never had a horrible cake from carvel before. The crunchies were stale even the chocolate part of the cake was old. I got the Oreo Churro with Black Sesame Ice cream. The churro itself was nice and fresh, the cookies and cream complimented it really well. The black sesame soft serve was not bad, but could use a little more black sesame in my opinion, it was leaning a bit too much towards just a vanilla flavor. Also got one of the Korean Corndogs with sausage and mozzarella cheese inside and a potato crust. The potato added a nice texture and was extra crispy. Absolutely amazing ice cream. The flavors are rich, creamy, and taste high quality, not overly sweet or artificial. You can really tell they use good ingredients. Every scoop is smooth and satisfying, and there are so many unique flavors to choose from. Always a great treat and totally worth it. Highly recommend! 🍨✨

I came to Carvel to buy an ice cream cake, and it was absolutely delicious. The cake was fresh, perfectly made, and everyone loved it. We even customized it with a photo and it came out great. Love this place. It is a hidden gem in the neighborhood. We ordered the pistachio and grapefruit. We can taste the natural fruit and some pulps in the grapefruit gelato. Brown & Butter Creamery has some of the best gelato I’ve had in the area. One piece of constructive feedback relates to the owner’s interactions with customers. Over several visits, I noticed instances where customers of color greeted her and received little or no response, while white customers were met with noticeably warmer and more engaged conversation shortly afterward. I didn’t think much of it at first, but after hearing others share similar observations, it became difficult to ignore.

Today was my first time at this shop, and I was quite disappointed. The prices are higher than at other Carvel stores in the area. Besides that, the ice cream portions are half the size. This little ice cream shop is a great spot to stop if you’re looking for a treat after a burger or something at one of the nearby restaurants. It’s not a very big shop, but it’s still nice, and they are more than happy to give you some samples before you place your order. Lots of really fun flavors, too!

I’ve ordered ice cream from Van Leeuwen through DoorDash twice since landing in New York, and both experiences have been excellent. The portions were generous, the ice cream arrived in great condition, and every flavor I’ve tried has been delicious. It’s clear they don’t skimp on quality or quantity. The staff has consistently gotten the orders right, and the ice cream is rich, creamy, and full of flavor. I’ll definitely keep ordering whenever I’m in New York. Highly recommended!

Love going to this Carvel. Beyond cookie keepers and all the fan favorites that are served here, it’s the staff that differentiates this Carvel from other ice cream shops or Carvel franchises. Delicious sorbet with fresh, natural flavors. The soursop sorbet was especially unique and refreshing. The owner was extremely kind and welcoming. Went today to redeem the flying saucer special. Showed cashier email that says Fanatics get a 6 pack for 7.50 but she and her manager said they didn't know how to apply the promo. Very disappointing that they didn't try to accommodate or honor the deal.

Paid $18 for a bowl to have missing ingredients??? It only came with acai, mango, and granola. No nutella, no strawberries, no bananas, no coconut flakes. Where’s the rest of it?? I enjoy frozen yogurt n wanted to like this new place. Unfortunately I was barely greeted... No "hello n welcome to our new place. Would you like to try a taste?" The banana fro yo was light n fruity but the peanut butter was an oversweet paste. There are no chairs to sit down... no stools outside. No small tables n chairs on the sidewalk. No rewards card to encourage me to come back... come on, people. Get real. Your business relies on super friendly service and great product. Good luck!

This carvel is the best one around. Their selection and variety of cakes is always amazing. The staff is always friendly and caters to some of my unusual sundae requests ie. pineapple and hot fudge. The store is very clean, too!
