I have dined here and did take out as well. It’s my to go spot for sushi with a decent price and amazing rolls. Lastly, the service is great per usual. Absolutely love this place!!

Just discovered my new go-to spot! 😍 This hidden gem serves up the most delicious sushi boxes, packed with flavor and freshness. 🌟 Affordable, filling, and made with high-quality ingredients, it’s a must-try for any sushi lover. 🥢 Whether it’s a summer picnic or office lunch, this spot has got you covered! They just launched some new menu items too. My favorite was Nigiri Galore, Teriyaki Salmon, it’s so delicious. Featuring ⤵️ -Sushi box “nigiri galore” -Chicken katsu sando -Teriyaki salmo

My friend and both got the bento box. I got a salmon and seaweed salad sampler in it while her got spicy tuna roll with the seaweed sampler in it. The edamame in the bento was great. There was just enough salt to make the edamame flavor complex but not overpowering. I was fairly disappointed with the sushi. I expected higher quality sushi for an establishment with the word “sushi” in the name. Pretty nice atmosphere but the music is a little loud.

Onigiris at NY prices, but onigiris done right. The rice is slightly sticky, chewy, plump, firm, tender, and nicely seasoned, making these onigiris much, much more enjoyable than the pre-made hard, crumbly and bland onigiris found in grocery stores. The atmosphere added to the positive experience. It sent me right back to Japan, to a quiet neighborhood’s cornerstone hole-in-the-wall, where two polite, friendly ladies make all their items behind the counter and add cute touches like a nori face o

Stumbled upon this place while walking around the neighborhood, and i’m glad I did. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and served quickly. Great value for the price, and the people were nice too. Definitely a go to spot when you’re craving good sushi without spending too much

Minus one star bc the spicy mayo was way too spicy and not like usual spicy mayo at other spots. Candy was so warm, welcoming and helpful! I ordered the Dragon's Egg and Crispy Eggplant appetizers to have for dinner. They were so flavorful! The menu had so many great options that I have to come again. Great new addition to the neighborhood!

I visit this Japanese teriyaki spot all the time, and it never disappoints! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and affordable. Their dollar lemonade is a nice touch, and the service is super fast—perfect for a quick meal. IIt’s a great deal and makes coming back even more worth it. Definitely one of my favorite local spots!

I have been coming here for years, always hospitable and accommodating. Food is made fresh, to order and portions are decent for the pricing. Good bang for your buck. I prefer the lo mein for an additional fee. First place you see off the escalator leading down to the food court. Solid, some of these other reviews are a bit pretentious. Grab you a plate!

My sister and I have gone to this place today and ordered the Takoyaki which were nice and tasty. The service was wonderful and reliable, and the atmosphere was that this place is busy, people talking, eating, and that they put pieces of octopus into it.

Honestly very mediocre sushi. I ordered spicy crab and spicy tuna and you can see from the spicy crab they just threw the kani whole in there with I guess the “spicy” on top, not even enough effort to try and mix the two. Mikado is on the next block over, a little more expensive like $1-2 but so worth it since it’s higher quality sushi

Good food, good portions, good service...really can't ask for much more than that. The food came out hot and fresh, and very quick. I left full and satisfied. Nothing fancy or over the top, just a solid, and prices are reasonable. Great for a quick lunch. Would definitely go back

The food here really exceeded my expectations! I ordered the chicken teriyaki fried rice and fried dumplings — the portion was very generous and the flavor was delicious. The fried rice had veggies and chicken with just the right amount of sauce, not too salty or greasy. The dumplings were crispy on the outside and tasty with the dipping sauce. The price is reasonable, service is fast, and the packaging was clean. Overall, a very satisfying experience — I’ll definitely come back to try the sushi

This place is NOWHERE near authentic - or delicious. I've been to Japan, so I didn't expect a NYC restaurant to compete with that country's restaurants. I put off trying this takeout spot for months, and decided to finally give it a shot. I should have put it off permanently. This meal was disgusting. It took them 3 minutes to put this together. The ramen was overcooked, the broth was not fresh, the 2 TINY pieces of pork was overcooked, and the egg was brown due to sitting around for days.

Almost perfect. I posted before that the steak was too well done, it was on point this time. My only complaint as I said they only sent one yum yum sauce so this time I said let me pay for an extra one well to my surprise I still only received one, not cool! But would definitely order again. Shibuya is a sushi market and one of the various vendors that is located inside Essex Market. At Shibuya, they serve handcrafted sushi, fresh sashimi, and flavorful poke bowls made with high-quality ingredients and traditional techniques. This was a delicious combination with the heat from the spicy kani, the crunch from the shrimp tempura, and the creamy av

Expensive, high prices for very average WARM sushi. The fish not being cold was very unappetizing, the rolls were nothing special, no flavor and small. And the “mini tacos” were smaller than bite size!

Kinokuniya is truly one of my favorite places to visit in New York! Whenever I start missing Japan, I head straight to the stationery section downstairs and spend far too long browsing while trying to convince myself not to buy everything in sight. 🙃🫣 From Japanese stationery and books to unique goods and blind boxes, there’s always so much to discover. There’s always something new, making each trip feel like a little surprise. It’s a shame I only took some random photos there lol

A unique ramen experience in New York. The atmosphere feels more like a bar or pub than a traditional ramen shop, which made it fun and different. East by West Omakase is newly opened Omakase in Midtown. My friend and I had such a great experience. Every course felt thoughtful and beautifully presented. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the balance of flavors was honestly one of the best omakase experiences I’ve had recently. One thing to mention. The chefs were friendly and attentive, and the whole atmosphere felt intimate and relaxing. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for a special dinner or date night. Highly recommend if you love om

Tasty marinated Japanese inspired BBQ meats. The lunch combo for $19.99 which includes 3 meats, soup, salad, and rice is an amazing deal for the portion size and quality protein. Their menu is extensive ( maybe too overbearing for some folks), but at least you know there’s multiple options for everyone. There’s an AYCE ( all you can eat) option available too for the big stomach folks. There’s chili crispy chicken wings were flavorful and super crunchy and tasty. Just be prepared to grill meats

The food was tasty and flavorful, but unfortunately it arrived a little colder than I would have preferred. I was also disappointed that the appetizer wasn't served separately. The appetizer and main dish were placed on the same plate, which I personally didn't enjoy. When I order an appetizer, I usually expect it to be something to share and enjoy before the main course arrives. That said, the restaurant itself was absolutely beautiful. The atmosphere and decor were amazing and created a great

The Wagu beef and steak were disappointing. I had similar beef in Korea, Japan and other restaurants in NYC. This was the least satisfying experience. However, the lobsters and Chilean seabass were very good. The sashimi were good. The service was good. But eight people cramped in a tight room was a bad set up to start. They started timing you as soon as you sat down. We had 100 minutes to finish the dinner. You felt rushing. I would not recommend this place if you want taking your tme to enjoy.

Sushi Hayashi offers a unique take on the omakase experience by combining a traditional multi-course tasting menu with an all-you-can-eat premium nigiri finish. Usually, I’ve have great experiences at this one food establishment but today for lunch wasn’t the same experience I always get. I bought lunch today something I’m very familiar with getting all the time and come to find out there’s a cockroach in my fried rice I thought it was an onion at first, but I took a closer look and I seen legs. To the contrary I looked through all the food I ordered, and the salad had moldy cucumbers. It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve have had a great experience, t

I’m from the DC area and I came here for the first time with my girlfriend and two of my friends. I want to say hands down this was a great 1st time experience for Omakase. Each round was progressively becoming tastier with each bite. You can definitely taste the freshness, flavor and richness each course. Our experience was unexpectedly enhanced with Jason. Jason made our experience feel more authentic and personalized. Even though it was our first time meeting him, it felt like I saw a friend
