Amazing atmosphere, incredible food. Servers were kind, welcoming, and super kind. Sushi chefs were very kind, very skilled, and a ton of fun to watch. Highly suggest the bar seat to watch them work.

My experience with Teriyaki One was so disturbing that I feel obligated to warn others. After realizing I had lost my phone, I used tracking services and worked with the police to locate it. The phone was traced directly to this restaurant. When officers arrived and spoke with the woman at the counter, she immediately produced my phone from beside the register. What made the situation even more unsettling was the behavior of the employees afterward. Several staff members avoided eye contact ent

I am kind of a sushi snob not in a mean way just that I have a hard time eating sushi that isn't good, so I am typically prepared to not enjoy it and move on, but if I find somewhere that goes above and beyond you know I have to leave a review. Because people who are doing an amazing job deserve the awareness. This is truly a shining star in a city that needs more like it, the staff are all extremely genuine and watching them prepare your sushi with such expert skill and care makes the experienc

Best sushi place in NYC unless you want to spend a crazy amount of money that does not worth. I have been knowing this place for 20 years. Still around while others closed. Great deserts too, they have a pastry shop in a different location providing them deserts. Good sake choices

Celebrated local sushi chain serving traditional rolls & sake in a chic, intimate space.
I ordered the Nosawa Trust Me set. I also ordered. Sweet shrimp, salmon eggs, and Hokkaido scallop sushi. The edamame was nice and fresh. Wasn’t too salty, either, and can taste the sweetness of the beans. The tuna and chutoro sashimi was nice seasoned with citrusy soy sauce. However, one of the tuna pieces was a bit fishy. The rest were fine so I don’t know what happened. The albacore sushi, salmon sushi, and New Zealand sea bream sushi were quite nice but I feel the rice was molded instead

The staff here are really friendly, accommodating, and give off such welcoming vibes. When I arrived around 6 PM on a Saturday, there was already a seat ready. When my Omurice was served, the staff even asked if I wanted to take a video—such a thoughtful touch! Everything tasted really good and definitely satisfied my cravings. I sat at the bar where I could see them preparing the food and the kitchen in the back, but surprisingly, I didn’t leave smelling like food—it didn’t stick to my hair o

Tamashii Blue is a reliable neighborhood gem with friendly staff and great service. The experience is quick and fast, offering consistent quality and reasonably priced food. I highly recommend paying in cash to take advantage of their additional discount. The pork chop in the Curry Katsu was well prepared — thin and crispy without being oily. While the side salad wasn't quite my preference and the tables are a bit close together, the overall atmosphere is very neat. It is a lovely local spot for

The minimalist atmosphere, authentic Japanese cuisine, and convenient location just steps from the Vernon Blvd–Jackson Av station make this a place we keep returning to. For lunch, the Lunchbox Specials are an excellent value, particularly the Hokke Ichiyaboshi, which features broiled, salted Atka mackerel. For dinner, two standout dishes are the Salmon Miso Zuke, which includes flavorful miso-marinated salmon served with seasonal vegetables, and the Hibino Teriyaki Chicken, made with roasted

We ordered take out one evening as our first experience with this restaurant. It was fantastic. I had a steak teriyaki entree, with a salad and a spicy california roll, a spicy tuna roll, and a regular california roll (I know very safe, but it was our first time ordering from them.) Everything was prepared perfectly. If I was to knock anything it would be thatt the spicy california and tuna rolls were not spicy enough. Next time I want to dine in the restaurant looked very nice when we picked

Japanese restaurant along Northern Blvd near Utopia Parkway and Francis Lewis. Used to be good, but quality dipped a bit, but still a decent spot giving 4 stars. Tip is included in the check. They have some seasonal items on the menu as well, the sukiyaki shown in the picture is a winter special. Otherwise, decent Japanese spot, nothing too fancy.

After trying quite a few affordable omakase spots around NYC, I’d sau this is the best-value $69 omakase serving good quality, thick-cut sashimi. We got exactly one hour to enjoy 13 courses—no fillers like apps, miso soup, or dessert—just nigiri and hand rolls. Despite the price point, they still serve premium ingredients like hokkaido scallop and caviar. I thought I’d still be hungry after 13 courses, but the thick-cut slices of fish were so generous that I left completely stuffed and satisfi

Such a fantastic experience! Everything from the food to the cocktails was a 10/10. The Teriyaki Bento and Rock n Roll were delicious, and you can't miss the Banana Tempura for dessert. Their martini selection (Lychee, Cucumber, and Espresso) is spot on! A huge thanks to our waitress Sandar for being so funny and attentive. Excellent dining experience with a very entertaining staff. If you love sushi you'll love dining at Sushi On Me. This is a semi-private and cozy (not cramped) dining experience. The staff caters to a small group as you dine right at the bar. Get ready for 15 rounds of sushi paired with good saké. Each round of sushi was more delicious than the last and the staff really puts on a show as you eat.

Great spot to try/visit in Brooklyn for sushi at a good price . Very cozy & intimate interior. Service is quick and friendly. We tried the Love boat sashimi & sushi combo with some side dishes. Note- Rating is for the area and for the good lunch special I have been to this popular Japanese sushi place a handful of times for lunch during my work break. The first time, I had an easy and quick experience as it wasn't overly crowded, but the second time, it took a bit too long. The service was attentive and welcoming, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. We also ordered the shabu-shabu, which was enjoyable and came with a nice variety of ingredients. The sushi was good as well, though the fish portions on the nigiri felt a bit small. The place is small and the prices are definitely friendly, which helps when you’re feeding teenagers who somehow stay hungry no matter how much sushi you order. Here for the exquisite quality of fish, not for the atmosphere, but there is something kinda fun about having excellent sashimi in a random hallway next to cooler boxes. Stopped by this gem on a rainy night while visiting New York, and it did not disappoint. I went with the spicy tonkotsu ramen (my usual go-to) and the portion was huge, easily enough to share. The pork slices were thick, generous cuts, not the small thin pieces you usually get at other spots. I stopped by Sorate at 103 Sullivan St for a matcha-focused experience, and overall it was a memorable visit with a few caveats. 📍 Atmosphere & Vibe The space is very small and minimalist — think a cozy, dimly lit spot with only a handful of counter seats. It’s more of a serene tea nook than a café where you can hang for hours. That intimacy creates a nice ambiance, but also means it gets crammed quickly when there’s a line out front. 🍵 Matcha Quality Sorate clearly uses high-quality matcha

I really wanted to like this place because the reviews seemed great and the energy was welcoming but the sushi just didn't satisfy.
