Never again. Used to be my favorite in the area. In the last few months I dont know if ownership has changed but price has gone up ($6 a pie in the last two years) and the quality has gone down. I dont know how to explain it, the pizza dough is more "flat", and the crust is less substantial. The quality feels like it went from a mom and pop shop to a chain. The restaurant is located in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. They prepare Italian/Mexican cuisine. Several tables are available for dining in but there are no servers. Pizza, burgers 🍔, hot dogs, salads, sandwiches 🥪, heroes, appetizers, entrees, pasta, rolls, sides, special family specials, desserts and beverages are available. I ordered a pizza, garden salad and pasta with clam sauce. The food was average in taste and flavor.

Ama La Vita is such a gem in Chelsea! The vibe is modern but still has that warm Italian charm that makes you want to hang out and stay a while. The coffee is excellent, but honestly, the pizza is the real star — fresh, flavorful, and straight-up delicious. I walked in as they were opening, and i ordered a regular slice and a Sicilian. It was nice to see the tables were clean as well as the pizza shop. I knew this pizza was going to be nasty! My family came to visit from out of town and they wanted to try NYC pizza. We ordered a half cheese and half pineapple. IT WAS HORRIBLE!!!! Amazing spot for both subs and pizza. The subs are loaded, super fresh, and full of flavor, and the pizza comes out hot with a crisp crust and really fresh toppings. Friendly service and a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere make it a great place to grab a casual bite.

Friendly staff with lots of regular customers. $5.99 for a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni. Slightly thick and chewy crust, very floppy and not crispy. Freshly made at 8.30am in the morning. Dough and sauce on the sweeter side. Crust had a good chew, but it would be less of a jaw workout if it was half as thick with a well baked crispy base. On a positive note, pizzas weren't greasy at all.

Alvo’s pizza is delicious. Came across this place recently outta nowhere while walking in the neighborhood; saw a few people carrying the blue pizza box or eating a slice. If you’re a Black customer, I would think twice before supporting this place. I’m new to the area and have been here 2–3 times. The food is decent (I liked the nachos and pizza), but the staff consistently come off as rude and unwelcoming. I've only visited a few times in Long Island City. But I have to say this would be my favourite pizza spot in this area. Their pizza was the best. I've tried regular cheese pizza, Margherita, and one other pizza that I forgot the name of. Had my dinner done during my trip. I'd definitely come back here just for this pizza.

Pizza is excellent when fresh for the price. Topping looked fresh and appealing.There are other meal options to choose from and I love that. They also had some chocolate chip cookies on display and they were excellent. They warmed them up also. I came here after visiting someone in the hospital because I was hungry. I’m glad that I decided to stop by because I love pizza. I ordered the Buffalo chicken slice and a cheese slice with a can of gingerale. J&M Pizza prepared the Buffalo chicken slice perfectly. It had the perfect amount of heat and enough chicken which equaled a great slice. Sometimes the sauce can be overpowering but they found the perfect balance. Great job!
