I’ve been back a few times now to get some work done. There is always plenty of comfortable seating, the WiFi is fast, and the lattes are delicious. The staff are all lovely and have all been very consistent! They have very fun selection of latte flavors. My favorite latte so far has been the marzipan; the coquito is good but a bit tooo cinnamon-y and the dulce de leche is a bit tooo sweet for my taste. Empire Diner is a modern take on a classic NYC diner. The menu has a nice mix of comfort food staples and more updated dishes, so it works whether you want something familiar or a bit different. Prices felt okay for the area, and most importantly, everything I had was genuinely delicious. Great spot for an easy, satisfying meal with that diner vibe, just a little more polished.

The food felt really light and not too heavy (which is good)! My favorites were definitely the skewers and the naan. The Assam laksa had a nice noodle texture, but the broth tasted a bit too tomato forward and reminded me of tom yum, which wasn’t really my favorite personally. The nasi lemak was also quite goodz I liked how all the different ingredients came together. But the standout dish for me was by far the skewers! The peanut sauce combination was so flavorful and delicious.

I still love here but got different… Compare to the time when Nem & Victor was there all day. Scallion cut was too thick, it bother the soup and noodle was thick and too chewy. Seems the table is too high for the small lady who prepares the dough to make it (hit). I move out of the state for two years and visiting, first place I came to have tingly&spicy noodle soup, great because couldn’t find anywhere that has these dishes but much different than how it used to be.

It had been a while since I had the pleasure of experiencing Westville. The last place I lived at had one in the lobby and it quickly became one of my go-to’s for its healthy, delicious food and when I’d go in person, amazing and friendly service.
