Bartenders in bow ties & suspenders recall the speakeasy era at this dark, moody cocktail lounge.
A Sunday night at Death & Co. Each drink was intricate, thoughtful, and impeccably executed, complex yet beautifully balanced. What made the evening truly exceptional, however, was the service. Kyler, Seth, Tom, Dante, and Max delivered a level of hospitality that was both gracious and deeply personal. Their warmth, expertise, and attention to detail made an outstanding experience unforgettable.

Malaysian, Thai & Vietnamese food favorites served in a lively, unpretentious setting.
10/10 experience!! great food and vibes!! price was reasonable and the staff was so welcoming and sweet! atmosphere was very honey and food was devineeeee!! the drunken noodles and calamari are unforgettable!! definitely coming back!

The restaurant is quite unassuming, but the food is excellent. The music is a jazz-oriented mix. While I'm not particularly fond of jazz, it really fit the overall vibe of the restaurant. The meat was really good! They had two small dipping sauces: one was a lemony seafood flavor, and the other was soy sauce with a tiny hint of sweetness. The presentation of every dish was amazing! They were like little works of art, and the taste was just as good.

Spicy Sichuan dishes like dan dan noodles are heat-rated by number at this informal restaurant.
Best cocktails I have ever had. Usually I don’t like mixed drinks because they are too sweet, but these were just so balanced and refreshing! Soup dumplings were juicy and the shrimp shumai were so succulent. Service was just lovely, I left feeling full and happy.

Narrow, casual spot for long-simmered pho, rice and noodle dishes, plus vegetarian options.
We heard from friends that the food at this restaurant was great so we decided to stop there for lunch on one of our long walks. We went without a reservation and were able to get a table right away. It is a long deep restaurant. Kitchen area is on the right as you walk in. We ordered The Madam Vo and the Garlic Noodles. Both were excellent but the noodles was a bit too salty for my wife. Service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere is nice. By the time we finished, the restaurant was ful

Bustling, late-night joint fixing up classic Japanese eats including yakitori, ramen & sashimi.
I have never seen food of such poor quality in my life. We left everything untouched. It’s hard to believe that in the 21st century, in the middle of New York City, a place would serve food like this. Where is the quality control? Where are the food standards? Why does this restaurant think people should pay for and eat food of this quality? There is no other word to describe it—absolutely disgusting. This was the worst food I’ve ever had and the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. 🤢🤮

We tried the cigar rolls with cheese, fried halloumi, malfouf, and mansaf. First of all, the décor was absolutely beautiful, with so much Palestinian art throughout the space. It truly felt like you were stepping into the dining room of a Palestinian home. The cheese cigar rolls were delicious, they were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and generously filled with melted cheese. The fried halloumi was a little too salty for my taste, but if you enjoy saltier cheeses, you might love it

The softest, stretchiest, freshest handmade mochi in the East Village! I tried the strawberry jam mochi from Pavlo a while back and couldn’t get over how soft it was. This time I went back to try more flavors and can confirm: every single one hits!! Each mochi is filled with fresh mousse cream or fruit jam. Unlike traditional japanese mochi, which tends to be denser and chewier, theirs has a pillowy, cloud-like wrapper that’s extra stretchy and light. They just dropped a Lunar New Year box ($3

Funky, colorful ice cream destination since 1974 also boasts egg creams, fries & hot dogs.
Ray’s Candy Store isn’t just a food stop — it’s a New York institution with powdered sugar on its knuckles. 🍩🔥 Located at 113 Avenue A, Ray’s is where you go when your cravings overpower your common sense. Fried Oreos, beignets buried in sugar, fries, milkshakes, egg creams, chili cheese hot dogs… basically everything your doctor warned you about but your soul desperately needs. All served from a perfectly ramshackle counter that feels like NYC before it got polished and overpriced. People don

Relaxed destination for a limited menu of creative Vietnamese dishes, craft beers, and wine.
Cozy Vietnamese cusine on the lower east side. We stopped by for lunch and it was quite busy. Luckily we had placed a reservation so we didnt have to wait long. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, perfect blend of casual and intimate. We ordered the spicy garlic cauliflower as an appetizer, and for main dish we got vegetarian Banh Mi and Pho. The cauliflower was very good, the spicy seasoning and oil was very flavorful. The Banh Mi was crunchy and delicious, the fried tofu was well seasoned. The

Such a great addition to the NYC omakase scene. Every piece was incredibly fresh, well-balanced, and beautifully prepared. The chefs were friendly and explained each course, making the experience even better. At this price point, it’s one of the best value omakase spots I’ve had in the city. I’ll definitely be back!

Korean fried chicken & other eats served alongside soju cocktails while DJs spin jazz records.
Yesterday I finally checked out Mono+Mono, a Korean fusion spot that’s been on my bucket list for a while—and it definitely lived up to the hype. The food was excellent, and the cocktails were just as impressive, both with and without alcohol. What I really loved was the whole concept and atmosphere. The entrance feels like you’re walking through a flower shop, which is such a unique touch. There are flowers everywhere—on the tables, around the space—it’s super cute🌸 The vibe is just so cool—

Homemade soba & udon noodles served in soups along with other traditional Japanese dishes.
Love this place! Been multiple times, and is one of the best places I’ve gone for soba in nyc. Would recommend a res tho bc it can get busy depending on time of day. Their lunch specials are VERY value - Sake oyako don lunch set w/ hot udon: 8/10: The salmon bowl was yummy, and the udon texture was good, but would prob get the cold dipping soba instead (better imo) - Una ju lunch set w/ cold dipping soba: 10/10, The eel was really yummy, and I love their cold soba. Pierogi, kielbasa, and other hearty Polish fare are the specialty of this no-frills diner.
Very mediocre food. I grew up going to Greenpoint and I’ve been to a Poland, so I’m familiar with the food. Potato pancakes and veal were decent. Pierogis were not too good, the worst I’ve ever had. Vegetables were canned and over boiled on top of that. Stuffed cabbage was bland. Various cabbage based stuff was okay. Going to Greenpoint next time. I don’t think the other reviewers are familiar enough w this type of food. Portions are good though and there was no wait on a busy Saturday night.

Warm eatery and teahouse for Chinese fare, from Peking duck to Shanghai dumplings.
Visited ULUH after hearing that Jennie recently stopped by, and I’m glad I finally came back. It’s actually been about a year since my last visit, and the food was just as good as I remembered. We ordered some of the dishes that were said to be Jennie’s picks, including the Brown Sugar Peking Duck, pumpkin balls, and a bottle of Kikusui sake. The duck was definitely a standout. Crispy skin, juicy meat, and packed with flavor. The Kikusui sake was light, smooth, and slightly sweet. Very easy t

Very busy restaurant serving up solid Indian food. I would not say it is spectacular but it can scratch a real itch for medium spice. The mulethi was a nice classic fruit-forward tart gin drink with a cool presentation. The golgappa was fun (it's pani puri for fuschka to me) and I liked the mint chili the most, and this one had a cool presentation too. The murg makhani was decent and the biryani was OK but not as deeply flavored. I think taht's my main critique if I had one: the flavor depth wa

tried this spot in new york since we were craving a german kebab. this spot did not disappoint. quick service and accessible location but most importantly delicious food. i ordered the mixed meat wrap and it was heavenly. packed with lots of flavor and veggies i was full off of 1/2 and ate the other 1/2 for lunch the next day. ambience is alright, trendy for a quick service grab and go. the logo is a bit corny/tacky to my liking. would recommend for a quick delicious meal! also ordered the bak

Brick-walled brasserie with an intimate feel serving updated French dishes and craft cocktails.
The venue has a nice vibe & is a good place to meet friends. The service might be slow & you might be greeted by some unfriendly hosts who might make faces, looking as if they don't want to be working there... The drinks were fine, but again, took forever to be served at the bar… and the burger wasn't good at all, probably my burgers cooked at home taste much better.

East Village-based restaurant serving Japanese hot pot, sushi, ramen, and cocktails.
We had a lovely lunch here - perfect for a rainy day! Everything was delicious but their pork belly hot pot, takoyaki and Mentai Mushroom Udon were all highlights! Their Hokkaido cheesecake and handmade Japanese dango are must-try’s as well!

$21.63 - 3 slices, 1 ice tea. This used to be my favorite. Pizza in the city. I was so.locking forwsrd to it. After sticker shock....slice size smaller, less cheese, not crispy, very little dripping oil. Not sure what happened [oh yeah- costs] but seriously disappointed. You get to pick what meats and veggies you want, they weight it, you pick your broth then pay. If you are eating in, they do have a sign saying that you must tip if you dine in—which is kind of off-putting. The broth was delicious and they have a sauce bar so you can make your own dip. Wish they have more veggie options but honestly it was pretty good!

This had been on my bucket list for quite some time now due to Adda’s reputation and all the hype around the butter chicken experience. Unfortunately, that dish is only served to reservations only, which I was a bit disheartened by, but their other specialities did not disappoint. It was still an exquisite experience coupled with excellent service at the bar~ [10/10] Aam Sutra: Refreshing mango cocktail with a spicy punch. I do love this place, server is pretty nice and the food is good, maybe a bit too spicy for me and I can do a lot of spicy! We did the set menu and I feel like the appetizer is a bit too dry but there’s the soup to have it with, so it’s not bad. I do think is an absolutely beautiful place for a unique dining experience. Such a gem! There are no artificial food dyes in any of the Gelato because it's all Italian, and I think food dyes are banned over there. And half the flavors are vegan! The guy behind the counter with longish hair is amazing. I think he's Italian too? But he's serious and efficient. When my daughter's cup fell off the counter, he made her a new ice cream for free! Always a good time here. Update! Went here on a stormy cold day to get hot chocolate. They had all kinds of milk options, and when

A little counter sandwich shop with one item - cheesesteaks. They’re excellent, with freshly baked sesame heros, caramelized onions, thick cheese and plenty of beef. Their excellent flavor is excellent - right up there with federoff’s and Philly’s best. It’s standing room only, a quick in and out sort of place, and the wait for a cheesesteak was very short - just 2 minutes, maximum. While the hype might have worn off, this remains one of the best places to get a cheesesteak anywhere and you shou

My friends and I came here for our mini reunion and had such a blast. Finally, a place in NYC that a college student can afford more than two drinks. I was so shocked to see cocktails for as low as $8 and green tea shots for $4 each. I love this place, and if you care about a little discount per drink then bring cash. The place is jumping and packed so expect to be rushed around and squeezed at a small little table. Drinks came out relatively quickly although we waited on two orders of fries for

So happy to have found this place during their soft open week! They are from Hanoi and proud of it, and it shows in their food. We’re not Vietnamese, but we loved all the food during our visit to Hanoi — and this place tasted just like we remembered! The bun cha was perfectly seasoned, with the grilled meats featuring the kind of char that only comes from charcoal and an open flame. The August rolls were cold and crisp and went perfectly with the dipping sauce; the best way to eat encapsulated
