Such a great spot! My husband and I visited today and got the Eastie (salami prosciutto and sweet peppers) and the Cootlet. They’re super solid sandwiches and were very filling. The staff were so nice too! They have a cool projector all the way in the back with a booth. (Sorry for the crappy photos that do the sandwiches no justice. I promise they’re good!)

It’s not only quintessentially East Village in its vibe and charm, but the food is absolutely delicious and the friendliest, welcoming and kind staff you could hope for. Stopped by here to watch a World Cup game! There are indoor and outdoor TVs set up and lots of outdoor seating. The HH deal is great from noon-5pm for both food and drinks. I loved the fried chicken and the Katja Margarita! A great place to meet with a group of friends

Dirty French was a whole vibe. The lighting, music, and energy hit that perfect balance of upscale but still fun and a little gritty. Food was really good. The fish dish came out in that small pan with a rich broth, mushrooms, and greens. It looked simple but had a lot of flavor and was one of those dishes you take your time with. Drinks were on point. The classic cocktail was smooth and well done. The flaming drink was a standout, great presentation and actually tasted as good as it looked.

I can’t say enough good things about this spot, and specifically about John. It is rare to see one person handle the entire operation so flawlessly, but John does it all. He manages the register with a great attitude and then hops right back to cook the food—and the quality is consistently 10/10. Usually, when a place is busy, you expect service or food quality to dip, but John keeps everything running perfectly.

Had one of the best pizza experiences here. The crust was perfectly charred and airy, with that authentic wood-fired flavor that’s hard to find. Every ingredient tasted fresh and balanced, especially the cheese and sauce. The atmosphere felt simple but genuine, letting the food speak for itself. 4-Star Google Review: Stopped by Sugar Sweet Sunshine Bakery at their new location and tried the pistachio cupcake—very good. The cupcake was moist with great pistachio flavor, and the sweetness was just right. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. Nice to see them settled into their new spot. Donnybrook was a fun place for a nightcap, but it definitely wasn't my favorite bar that I went to while in NYC. It didn't feel like it had that much personality or a unique identity, and nothing about it really stuck out. Don't get me wrong, there was nothing bad about it, there just wasn't anything particularly notable. I would recommend as a place to wrap up your night however.
